The Argument

I woke up sprawled on the bed and Tony. If you saw the position we were lying in you would have questioned if it was comfortable. Here’s your answer: Yes, yes it is, until you wake up and realise all the weird angles your body is at. I felt guilty, I basically ruined Tony’s sleep. I woke up freaking out many times. No, I wasn’t having nightmares, I was just sleeping restlessly. I had tried to run away, not knowing where I was, before Tony would run behind me and tell me everything was fine. I was completely and utterly confused every time I woke up.
“Mornin’” A deep voice said making me jump a little.
“Shit Tony, you scared me!” I pouted
“Hmmm… Will this cheer you up?” He started tickling me.
I was squealing and trying to kick him away. “Stop it Tony! Stop it!”
“No can do princess.” He smirked
I pouted again, looking at him with puppy dog eyes, trying to not laugh. But I couldn’t hold it in. I burst out laughing again and was losing my breath.
“Ok, mission complete. I made you smile again.”
I tried to reply but was too busy catching my breath and still giggling slightly. I finally caught my breath and turned around to look at Tony. He had the cutest smile on his face and he looked into my eyes, brushing a piece of hair behind my ear. I buried my face in the pillow suppressing the blush creeping up onto my face which made Tony chuckle. I looked back up at him and just as he was about to say something the doorbell went.
“I’ll get it.” He whispered
“Ok,” I mouthed back, “Just don’t blame me if I fall asleep again.”
He smiled down at me, “Just go back to sleep, precious, you need it.”

As soon as the door closed I fell back asleep. It wasn’t a restless sleep this time. It was to opposite actually. I felt calm and at peace, like nothing could go wrong.
I walked up the hill, following the twinkle lights. It was beautiful here. The stars shone like fireflies illuminating their surroundings. There was no sound to be heard and to air was cool. I continued walking at saw somebody standing at the edge. I stood next to them.
They said “It’s bewitching, isn’t it?”
I hummed in agreement and looked at the skyline of the city below me. Tall buildings were lit up brightly, other smaller buildings were left in the dark. It reminded me of society. The mighty are followed while the weak are left behind.
The person standing next to me turned and looked at me. I took in their facial features and--

I woke up. Damn! I always wake up during the interesting part. My stomach rumbled and I decided to go downstairs, expecting whoever rang the doorbell was long gone. I passed a large mirror in the corridor of the modern house and looked at it. My hair was doing weird things again. It looked like a recently had wild and hot sex, but I most definitely did not. This is what tossing and turning does to you. I looked down and saw I was still only in Tony’s t-shirt and my underwear. Oh well, it’s comfortable and I can’t be arsed to get dressed right now.

I sauntered towards the kitchen and heard Tony’s voice, “It’s not my place to tell you!”
“Ok, ok. Whatever.” Another voice said.
Fuck! The person was still here and I was just in a shirt and had crazy hair. I took a deep breath and decided to not care about it. People can judge, I won’t care as long as I’m comfortable. I walked into the kitchen and saw Vic sitting at the bar talking to Tony. He looked up at me and I saw pain, confusion, and then pain again flash through his eyes. My eyes went wide and thoughts raced through my mind. What does he know? Who told him? He’ll probably hate me! Why is he here? I decided to shake it off and walked past him grabbing milk and cereal. As I was preparing my breakfast Tony came up behind me and placed a cup of coffee over my shoulder. We were pretty close, his chest almost touching my back. He stood there for a minute before walking back again. Vic was watching our every move. I sat down and munched on my food. This was awkward. I didn’t like it.
“Why is this so awkward?” I finally spoke up.
“I don’t know,” Vic responded.
Good I wasn’t the only one who thought this was awkward. We made some small talk and soon Tony announced that he was going to take a shower.

“Look, Noortje, we have to talk.” Vic declared.
“Oh? Sure. What’s up?” I was pretty sure I knew what he wanted to talk about, but I wanted to deny it.
“You know what it’s about, Noortje.”
“I do?”
Vic sighed, “Jaime called me yesterday. I know you came to his house freaking out. Is this… is this because of… me?” He whispered the last part.
“Oh no, no, no. I promise I was going to the store to get shampoo. I don’t know what happened!”
“Are you sure though? Cause to me it seems like you lied to me, went to Jaime, went home with Tony, and had sex with one of my best friends.” He started raising his voice.
“What!? First of all I did not lie. Second of all, I only went to Jaime cause his house was closest and I didn’t want to cause a car accident. Third of all, why the fuck would you think I had sex with Tony? Oh, and also nice to know that he’s just your friend.”
“Oh come on! I’ve been living with you for over 5 years. I know what you look like. Just look at your hair!”
“You know what! Fuck. You.” I spat at him before running into the downstairs bathroom and locking myself in.
“Whatever.” Vic muttered.

Tony’s POV
I walked back downstairs and saw a very angry looking Vic on my couch.
“What happened here?” I questioned, “where’s Noortje?”
“Argument. She’s locked herself up in the bathroom.” Vic growled
My eyes went wide, “How long has she been in there?”
“15 minutes? Maybe 20? Why’s that important?”
I didn’t reply and ran towards the bathroom door. I tried opening it, but it was locked, just like Vic had said.
“Shit!” I shouted.
I knocked frantically on the door, “Noortje! Noortje! Open the door! Please open the fucking door!”

No reply.

Footsteps came from the living room towards me. “What are you doing?” Vic requested.
I just kept knocking on the door. Panic rose to my throat and a screamed for Noortje to open the door one last time before turning to Vic, “I don’t care what your argument was about. But you are going to help me open this fucking door right now!”
He immediately obeyed, but was still puzzled. Together we kicked down the door. I would never be able to un-see the sight I saw in front of me.

Hahaha, thank you. You can totally see how my writing has developed in this story; the first chapters are written so bad. I'm excited for our story as well.

Yaaaaay I read it all! I finished it! I loved it, babe. You're an amazing writer and I'm happy I get to work together with you :) ♡

@Nickyvlxx
Thank you so much. I remember writing chapter three when I was in a really weird mood; I was so confused about everything. I'm Dutch as well, but (as I recall you saying somewhere at the beginning of the story; I have a really weird memory for weird things) English is my first language because I've been speaking it a lot more than Dutch since I was very young. But this wasn't the reason I chose to make her Dutch, I wanted something European and put some random countries in a hat (well, on a website, but same thing) and it came out. So yay!

I have read 3 chapters now and I honestly love it! You have a beautiful writing style and the story is really unique! I also kind of relate to Noortjes feelings. I have the same problems with reality. And I like it a lot that she is dutch because I am too :p

I'M STILL READING!!
