Tony’s POV

I left Noortje and went to find out my Vic needed me. As I walked past the dining room I saw all the plates and other condiments on the table had been cleaned up. I found Vic and the others in the living room, watching some TV. Each of our houses were like a home to the everybody in the band, we spent so much time together. It was like we were sharing 4 houses together.

“So… What’s up?” I said rather too cheerfully, trying to mask that seeing Noortje cry made my heart break.
“How’s she doing?” Mike said carefully, as if Noortje would be able to hear him.
I sighed and nodded, feeling like I could cry any moment if I wasn’t careful, and sat down, “She fine…” I took a shaky breath, “I just hope she won’t do anything stupid. I know she won’t do it on purpose, but it has happened before. Maybe I shouldn’t go out tomorrow.”
“No, no, no, don’t do that!” Jaime interrupted, “You can’t ruin the surprise! I actually offered to stay here while these guys have to go do other stuff.”
“Are you sure? I don’t want to bother you and I really don’t want to leave her alone.”
“It will be fine, Tone. I can take care of her and I’ll leave when you come back.”
“I don’t know…” A tear slipped out of my eye and slowly fell onto the floor.
“I promise nothing will happen. Plus, your surprise will probably cheer her up quite a bit.”
I chuckled. It better cheer her up and make her happy, or else things will just be awkward and I wouldn’t know what to do. I would probably stand there, speechless, and confused… and probably upset. No wait. Definitely upset.

“Was that the only reason you needed my ‘help’?” I asked.
“Well… we’ve all been worried about Noortje, but what about you? How are you feeling?” Mike put his hand on my shoulder.
“She was crying. I hate to see her cry. I know it’s cliche, but it made me want to cry as well. But we both agreed that it was for the best, not that we wouldn’t have made it worked. She just joined the band, it wouldn’t be fair to her to have to leave so early, and we’ve only been together for almost 2 months. Who knows what could still happen to us.” I rambled.
“You guys are forever.” Jaime grinned.
“Who knows…”
“Oh come on. Don’t be so pessimistic!” Vic scolded.
“I’ve screwed up before. I might do it again! Probably not on purpose, but last time also wasn’t on purpose. What makes it even worse is that it happened when I should have actually been there for her. If what I accused her of was actually true, we probably wouldn’t be here right now, maybe in a rehabilitation center or something.”
“I’m pretty sure you won’t screw up again. What actually happened last time that made you think she would be in rehab?”
“I still get mad at myself for it,” I breathed out, “ I really shouldn’t have done it. I- I- I thought she was at the beginning of an eating disorder, but I was so upset that I wouldn’t listen to her and kept calling her out on it and eventually I might have said that we weren’t going to work out.”
Vic looked at me with angry eyes, but they soon turned into sympathy. That’s when I realised there were tears on my cheeks, and not just a few either. I quickly wiped them away and tried to compose myself.
“Sorry about that.” I mumbled.
“It’s ok,” Mike whispered, “She forgave you, right? And you guys obviously make each other happy. Just forget the past and go for the future.”
I nodded and wiped any excess tears I had missed away.
“Sorry if this is the wrong time to say this, but I have to leave. My girlfriend’s coming over in an hour or so.” Vic announced.
I looked up at him and grinned, “Girlfriend, huh?”
“Shut up. You never told me about you and Noortje. I’ll make sure to bring her over sometime so you can meet her.”

Mike left along with Vic, probably afraid that if he wouldn’t leave now, he wouldn’t leave at all. It was just Jaime and I now and we were bored out of our minds. There wasn’t much to talk about except for a few tour stories and the crappy television show that was on. But for some reason I didn’t mind not talking as much. Being stuck with the same guys on a bus for a few months probably had something to do with it, but it probably was also because I was trying to listen closely to any movement Noortje could make suggesting that she was hurting herself.

----

Noortje’s POV

I stretched out and rolled over, starfishing and taking over the entire bed. The TV downstairs was on and I knew Tony was probably watching some random program or falling asleep. I slowly go out of bed and looked in the mirror. My hair was all over the place and Tony’s shirt, which I had put on when I woke up a few hours ago and was cold, just covered my butt. Normally I would have just put my hair up in a bun and gone out, not giving a shit about what anybody thought about me, but this time I decided to put on some leggings, just to make myself a bit more comfortable.

I went to the bathroom, quickly did my business and washed my hands, and went downstairs. It was just Jaime and Tony, the others had probably left already. Tony was lying down on his back on the couch, and Jaime was sitting in the small area that wasn’t taken up by Tony. I listened in on their conversation and heard that they were talking about me.
“You know, it’s her birthday in a couple of weeks,” Jaime pointed out.
“Really, already! We have to throw a party, she’ll be 29!” Tony said excitedly.
I groaned and entered the room, lying down right on top of Tony, making him let out an ‘oof’. He wrapped his arms around me and got comfortable again.
“You guys are weird.” Jaime chuckled.
“Thank you,” I said into Tony’s shoulder, which made it come out muffled.
“Wait a second, is that my shirt?” Tony pushed me up slightly and eyed me up and down.
“Maybe… I was cold and the only thing that didn’t require me to get out of bed was a shirt you left on the floor.”
“I’ll let it slip ‘cause you look good in it.” Tony grinned and kissed me briefly.
I placed my chin on Tony’s chest and looked at Jaime, “Himes, don’t you ever wonder if he ever had these thoughts when we weren’t together?”
“Hmm… why, yes, I do.” Jaime joked along, “Care to elaborate, Tony?”
“Well, sure, I had the occasional thought that she looked good, but it never really made me want to fuck her like-”
“Okay!” I exclaimed before Tony could go any further, “I’m going to get off you now before stuff starts happening down there, and I will order pizza ‘cause I really want some now,” I got off of Tony and waved my hand around his crotch to emphasize my statement, “You guys want anything?”
I waited from a reply, but didn’t get any and found both Jaime and Tony looking at my chest. I looked down and sighed.
“I’m not wearing a bra and I’m cold. Get over it.”
Jaime and Tony quickly looked away and blushed.
“So, do you guys want pizza?” I continued.
“Uhh, yeah, sure.” Jaime coughed.
“Cool. I’ll get us a large and a medium.”

I did exactly as I said I would and sat down on the floor in front of the couch. We were watching a cartoon that made no sense whatsoever. What happened to all the good shows?
“Hey, Noortje, what would you like to do the day after tomorrow?” Tony piped up.
“Umm… just stay in bed the whole day, why?” I said, not taking my attention off the TV.
“2 months.”
I repeated the words in my head a few times. Two months what? My eyes suddenly went wide. Of course, how could I forget?
“Shit. I’m so bad at relationships.” I apologized, “I’ve never really done the anniversary thing.”
Jaime chuckled and I glared at him, making him stop immediately.
“It’s ok,” Tony said, not sounding sad at all, “I’ll make it special by making us dinner.”
“Ok,” I smiled lovingly and looked into his eyes.

“Hey, Jaime, no offense, but why are you still here?” I noticed.
“Oh, Tony has to go somewhere tomorrow, some boring thing I can’t give a fuck about. But I’ll be here so you won’t be alone.” Jaime explained.
“Oh, ok.”
I knew it was totally Tony’s idea to keep Jaime here because he didn’t want me to hurt myself. Normally it would infuriate me, but this time I was actually kind of thankful. I didn’t know whenever it happened. It would always happen when I was in some kind of trance… like I was sleepwalking. I would think I was fine, and then later I would have a cut on my wrist. Luckily, Tony had thought about this.

----

“So, I would ask you how you were, but I don’t think you want to hear that.” Tony mumbled.
It was dark outside and we had decided to go to bed, letting Jaime take my old room. Tony had his head on my chest and was playing with one of my hands. I had slept the whole day, so I wasn’t tired, but Tony definitely was. I ran my fingers through his hair, knowing it would make him fall asleep easier.
“I’m fine, however you seem like you haven’t slept in days, so just go to sleep, I promise I won’t go anywhere. Just stop worrying.” I whispered, seeing Tony desperately trying to keep his eyes open.
He nodded and finally let his eyes shut before burying his head further into my chest.
“Don’t even think about motorboating me.” I chuckled.
“I wasn’t, but that’s a good idea” I murmured before his breath evened out and falling asleep.

----

I stayed awake most of the night, watching over Tony instead of him watching over me. Apparently I did fall asleep sometime though, because I woke up and saw Tony was no longer besides me. My phone rang and I saw it was some unknown number.
I hesitantly answered, “Hello?”
“Is this my favourite sister?” I heard a familiar voice say.
“I don’t know… I don’t think I have brown hair, brown eyes, and a shitty personality to match.”
“Yep, this is definitely you.”
I giggled, “Why are you even calling me, Ewout.”
“i was just wondering if you have checked your mail lately.” He said suspiciously.
“Umm, no, I don’t think so. Unless Jaime, Vic, or Mike, checked when they came here a few days ago.”
“Why would they check your mail?”
“Oh, long story short. Tony and I went home later than they did. They decided to go to mine and Tony’s so we would be able to come home without having to do much anymore.” I explained.
“Why would you go home later? Couldn’t you guys have just gone with Vic, Jaime, and Mike?”
“That was the original plan. But then I fell on stage, had to go to the hospital a few hours later, had a miscarriage, and then had to stay at the hospital for another day.”
“Oh my god. Are you ok?” Ewout panicked.
“Yeah, just like I’ve been saying the entire time, we wouldn’t have been ready for a baby anyway. Plus, Vic, Jaime, and Mike know about our relationship now.”
“Oh, ok. I guess that’s good then.”
“I guess,” I agreed, “Now, why did you want me to check the mail?”
“Something might or might not have been sent to you.”
“Is it what I think it is! Oh my god! I need to check. Stay on the phone with me.”
“Of course, I want to hear your reaction.”
I jumped out of bed and ran down the stairs, almost tripping in the process. I slid past Jaime and Tony (who apparently hadn’t left for the ‘meeting’ yet) and they gave me weird looks. Not bothering with shoes, I ran outside and checked the mail. There was a whole pile of different paper and letters. I sprinted back inside, slamming the door shut behind me and entered the kitchen, slamming the pile on to the counter top. A cream envelope fell out of and I screamed.
“This is amazing already!” I breathed out.
Tony came running into the kitchen, with Jaime not far behind. They both looked very distressed.
“Is everything ok?” Tony worried.
“Shh!” I put my finger against my lips and glared at him. Tony put his hands up in surrender and slowly backed away.
I opened the envelope and looked at it. The lettering was gold and the lettering looked amazing. I read what was written on the card until I reached the date. Pushing Tony and Jaime away, I ran to the calendar with all the tour dates and other important events.
“It’s so close already,” I squealed, “And we’re not on Tour….” I moved the phone away from my face, “Tony, we have a wedding to go to!”
I heard Ewout laugh and I moved the phone back to my mouth.
“As much as I’d like to talk to you, I really have to go and plan some last minute things.” Ewout said.
“Ok, talk to you later.” I ended the call and grabbed a pen, marking the wedding clearly on the paper.

Jaime and Tony joined me and gave me weird looks.
“What?” I laughed.
“Are you sure you don’t want to scream again?” Jaime joked.
I took it seriously and let out another scream, causing Jaime and Tony to cover their ears with their hands.
“Who was that?” Tony asked.
“My brother.” I stated matter of factly.
“You speak English to each other?”
“Yeah, we always went to English or American schools, so it’s our first language. It just kinda happened. Speaking Dutch to him is weird.”
“I guess that makes sense, but I have to leave now, I don’t want to be late.”
Tony pecked my lips and said bye, leaving Jaime and I to figure out what to do until Tony came back.

----

“Thanks,” I said, stuffing some leftover pizza in my mouth.
“For what?” Jaime replied, doing the same.
“For staying here with me. I’m pretty sure I would have been fine, but maybe if you weren’t here things could have gone horribly wrong. I never want to do it, but it just happens.”
“Hey, it’s no problem. At least you’re recognizing your problem and won’t hesitate to ask for help.”
“Yeah, I guess.”
Jaime’s phone buzzed, making him look at it.
“Tony’s coming back in a few. I’m going to leave as soon as he comes, I promised my parents I would visit them.”
“Ok, yeah, that’s cool. What is Tony doing anyway?”
“Some boring shit, but he couldn’t cancel or change the date.”
“Ok?”
There was something Jaime knew, but he wasn’t telling me. Tony probably wasn’t at some meeting.

A car drove on to the driveway and stopped, I recognized it as Tony’s.
“Well, I have to go, or I’ll be late.” Jaime announced, “Don’t do anything I won’t do… so don’t fuck Tony.”
“I won’t,” I grinned.
I followed Jaime to the front door and let him out. Jaime left the house as Tony walked in, but he wasn’t alone. Tony had the largest smile on his face as he saw me. The dog that he had brought along ran towards me. I kneeled in front of it and hugged it as it was jumping around me excitedly. It was the most beautiful dog I had ever seen; patches of white, brown ochre, and different shades of gray, along with the most mesmerizing icy blue eyes.
“Hi,” I cooed, “Aren’t you the cutest little thing. Your owner must be so happy to have you.”
I looked up at Tony, “What’s it’s name?”
Tony smirked, “Read the dog collar tag.”
I looked at it and same the name ‘Bailey’ was carefully engraved, but that wasn’t the only thing on it. In small letters underneath her name was our address and home phone number. My eyes found their way back to Tony.
“What?” I asked, honestly confused.
“Surprise!” Tony exclaimed.
“Are you being serious!”
“Of course.”
I dashed towards Tony and wrapped him in a hug before giving him a passionate kiss. Tony let go of me and picked up the dog that was scratching at it’s feet.
“Why?” I asked flabbergasted.
“Well, at that one interview you were talking about how you used to have a dog, but your parents took her away from you, so I thought you would like it. Of course I thought I through, I’ve been wanting a dog for quite some time now, so why not share it with my wonderful girlfriend?”
I kissed him again, and patted Bailey’s head.
“I like it when you call me your girlfriend, it makes everything seem so real.” I mumbled.
“I like being able to call you my girlfriend.”

Notes

So... I did some drawing, played some guitar, and listened to some music, trying to find some inspiration to write. It resulted in this crappy chapter.

I accidentally wrote this at first: “Maybe… I was cold and the only thing that didn’t require me to get out of bed was a shit you left on the floor.” I should have kept it that way.

Also, I got so many idea's for a sequel and a sequel to that, and another one... So I was wondering if you guys would like that. I was thinking of finishing this story soon and then making a sequel, but I could also add that to this story, because there is no weird time gap. Just tell me what you guys would like, please. Without you I wouldn't know what to do.

Hahaha, thank you. You can totally see how my writing has developed in this story; the first chapters are written so bad. I'm excited for our story as well.

Yaaaaay I read it all! I finished it! I loved it, babe. You're an amazing writer and I'm happy I get to work together with you :) ♡

@Nickyvlxx
Thank you so much. I remember writing chapter three when I was in a really weird mood; I was so confused about everything. I'm Dutch as well, but (as I recall you saying somewhere at the beginning of the story; I have a really weird memory for weird things) English is my first language because I've been speaking it a lot more than Dutch since I was very young. But this wasn't the reason I chose to make her Dutch, I wanted something European and put some random countries in a hat (well, on a website, but same thing) and it came out. So yay!

I have read 3 chapters now and I honestly love it! You have a beautiful writing style and the story is really unique! I also kind of relate to Noortjes feelings. I have the same problems with reality. And I like it a lot that she is dutch because I am too :p

I'M STILL READING!!
