I Promise You, Someday

*Max's POV*

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off, it was 9:30am, Alexis was coming home in an hour I looked to my left and saw Jaime, still sleeping, he must have been freezing, he's only in boxers, as I was getting up being careful not to wake him, my phone started vibrating, it was Mike, "Hello?" I answered whispering, "Hello Max, why are you are whispering?" He asked, "Because I'm trying to put some pants and a jumper on and Jaime's still asleep" I explained grabbing some trousers and a jumper and walking to the bathroom "Oh okay" He said, I rolled my eyes, "Mike why did you phone so early in the morning?" I asked closing the door, "Well it's just, I think we should grab a coffee?" He said, I was still confused, "Okay, why?" I asked not sure why he wanted to go for a coffee with me, he hated coffee and he never asks me to go get a coffee, "I want to talk about that night, between us" He said, lowering his voice a little, "Mike let it go that was over 4 years ago?" I said sighing, "What was over four years ago?" I heard a familiar voice ask, I turned around and Jaime was standing at the door with a confused look on his face, "Mike I gotta go, yeah, I'll meet you at Starbucks at 1:30pm, okay? Bye" I said hanging up and looking at Jaime, his expression didn't change, "What was over four years ago?" He asked again breaking it up a little, I just stood there speechless with my phone in my hand, thankfully the door bell went, "I'll get it" I said in a panic and rushed downstairs to answer the door, it was Tony and Alex, "MOMMY!!" She screamed jumping onto me excitedly, "Hi baby, daddy's upstairs go see him, okay?" I said kissing her forehead and sending her upstairs, I looked at Tony in a panic, "We need to talk" I said, he raised his eyebrows and nodded slowly, Tony knew about Mike and I because I accidentally told him when I was drunk, he told me that he wouldn't tell anyone and that he was annoyed that I would choose Mike over him and we fell out for a couple of days but now we're close again, "Himes, I'm popping to the shop for some fruit!" I shouted before grabbing my shoes, a bag and slamming the door closed and running to Tony's car with Tony, "Okay, what's up?" He asked as we were driving around the parking lot trying to find a space, "Jaime nearly found out about Mike and I!" I said, "What!??" He said swerving into an empty parking space and looking at me with wide eyes, "I was speaking to Mike on the phone because he wanted to talk about what happened and I said that he should let it go, it was over 4 years ago and Jaime kept asking me what was over four years ago and I don't know what to do, Tony?" I explained covering my face, he sighed and rubbed my arm, "First of all you need to get fruit" He said, I laughed as we jumped out the car and went into the shop.

"Well I think you should just tell him that you and Mike were drunk one night and you kissed, it was nothing more than a kiss, even though it was, and also get Mike to keep to that story?" He explained, I nodded, "I mean we did kiss so it's not lying it's just not telling the full story?" I said, picking up strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and grapes and throwing them in the basket, this could either break us or make us, I really hope it's not the second one. After we paid for everything Tony took me home again, "Thank you so much, Tone, you're a star!" I said hugging him before I got out and went inside.

Jaime and Alex were watching TV, I walked straight passed them to the kitchen, "Hey baby, why don't you go upstairs and play with Mr Pickles until lunch is ready okay?" I heard Jaime say to Alexis as I was putting the fruit in the fridge, I felt a presence behind me, "Hi, honey" I said hoping that he had forgotten about earlier, he came and wrapped his arms around me as I stood at the sink, "Hello" he said resting his chin on my shoulder, "So are you going to tell me what was four years ago?" He asked, I could feel my heart racing with anxiety as I nodded, turning around and sitting down, he sat in front of me, "Well...?" He said reaching out and taking a hold of my shaking hands, "Please don't get mad and hate me?" I said, tears threatening to spill, he shook his heads, "Never" he said as he stared into my eyes with sad eyes, "I kissed Mike.." I mumbled holding my head in my hands, "Thank god!" He said, sighing with relief, I looked at him confused as the tears fell down my face, "What!?" I said horrified that he's happy I kissed Mike I mean sure I'm happy he didn't hate me but he's happy about me cheating on him? What!? "No baby I mean, I'm glad you told me yourself, you see after it happened that night and I came around to pick you up the next again morning Mike told me everything, how he came on to you and you two kissed but you stopped straight after that" He said, squeezing my hands, "Really?" I said sniffing surprised that Mike would do that, he nodded, "I'm sorry Jaime, I should neve..." I said but was cut off by him, "Don't worry about it like you said it was over 4 years ago, I was mad then but I can't hold a grudge especially not against my gorgeous Fiance, which reminds me we need to set a date for the wedding and we need to move into that house by the end of this month!" He said jumping up and running upstairs for something, I still can't believe Mike told Jaime...
