I Promise You, Someday

*Max's POV*

I ran for about 10 minutes until I was certain that I had lost them, I just needed alone time, finally I reached a small coffee shop that was open, I went inside to dry off, thankfully I had $10 in my pocket, "Hi, how can I help?" The cashier asked, "Umm could I get a large black tea with 3 sugars and a small piece of that carrot cake please?" I said pointing to the carrot cake in the glass cabinet, he nodded, "That's $6.50 please" he said smiling, I handed him the $10 and got my change, "What's your name?" He asked, "Max" I said waiting patiently at the side, I wasn't paying attention to the queue and within a couple of seconds my name was shouted I stepped up and grabbed my order before making my way to a small table at the back of the shop, I turned my phone on to silent so that it wouldn't go off if I got any calls or texts, I turned it face down and focused on the world going by, I felt myself warm up a little which I was thankful for since I was soaked right through as I drank the rest of my tea I felt someone's eyes on me so I kept my head down, suddenly there was a huge dark shadow come over me, I slowly looked up and saw a tall, heavily tattooed man staring down at me, he smiled, "Can I sit here?" He asked, I nodded as he pulled the seat out and sat down across the table I got a better look at him, it was Austin Carlile, I tried to remain calm and not freak out, he smiled politely at me and I smiled politely back at him and went back to eating my cake, "Hey, aren't you Max Crooks? Tony Perry's girlfriend?" He asked, looking at me, I nodded slowly and he smiled a wide toothy smile before going all serious again, "Why are you here on your own and why are you soaked like you just walked 30 minutes in the rain?" He asked with a confused look on his face, I just shrugged, "Hmm not much of a talker?" He asked, I smiled and shook my head, "Okay well we're going to warped and if you would like a lift you can jump on our bus we are literally five minutes away from here?" He said, I looked at him for a second and nodded, "That'd be great" I smiled, he stood up and I followed him. We finally reached his bus, "Are you okay with this?" I asked, Austin turned around and laughed, "Of course!" He said holding my hand and pulling me on the bus, "Guys!!" He shouted as the rest of OM&M came rushing towards the front of the bus, "This is Max her and Tony had an argument and she done a runner so we're taking her to warped with us, okay?" He said, everyone nodded and cheered, I looked at Austin, "How did you...? I said trailing off, "Oh please honey, it's not hard to notice?" He said, I gasped a little and nodded, they all came rushing towards me hugging me and introducing themselves, "Hi I'm Alan and you look really sweet so I'm going to give you a hug and.. Umm why are you wet? Did you get caught in the rain?" Alan rushed, I laughed nodding, "Come with me!!" He said grabbing my wrist and pulling me through to the bunks.

The bus looked almost identical to PTV's which reminds me I should probably text them back, "Okay I know that you probably don't want to and you don't have to but because your clothes are wet here you can wear my shirt, it's probably going to be a bit long but I have a pair of shorts if you'd like them, the shorts belong to my ex but it should be fine?" Alan said, dragging out some clothing, I nodded, 'That'd be great, thank you" I said quietly, he looked pretty chuffed with himself as he exited the room while I got changed, as I pulled my top off Austin walked in by accident, "Hey Max I have Ton... Oh fuck, shit, I'm so sorry, fuck Max sorry!" He said as I turned around to cover myself, "AUSTIN!!" I screamed as he covered his eyes and slowly backed out, I heard all the other guys laughing out the front, I giggled a little as I shook my head and finished getting changed, once I was changed I walked out, a little self conscious due to the fact I don't like my legs and I have self harm scars, when I walked out it was just Austin and Tino, "Where is everyone?" I asked sheepishly, "Aww umm they all wen..." Austin trailed off as he looked at me, he froze, his mouth open a little, it made me more self conscious than I already was, "I think what Austin is trying to say is that everyone went out and you looked hot?" Tino said laughing and slapping Austin's chest finally Austin came back out of his daydream, "Uh yeah, Tony phone earlier he wants you to phone him" Austin said still staring I nodded, "I'm gonna go do that...." I trailed off pointing to the bunk room, he nodded finally taking his eyes off me and going back to his phone, I walked through and sat on a bunk, I'm guessing it was Austin because it had a mini Squidgy on the pillow, I picked up my phone and looked at it, 52 missed calls and 35 unread messages, I rolled my eyes and clicked on Tony, calling him, "Max!!" He said picking up, "Hi" I said quietly, I have to admit, I do miss him, "Are you okay? Are you safe?" He asked me rushing, I nodded, "Yeah" I said quietly again, "Good, I am so sorry I never meant to call you an idiot, I love you so fucking much, I can't lose you, you mean the world to me!" He said his voice cracking, I felt kind of bad, "I know, it's fine, I'm sorry for worrying you all, I love you too, OM&M are gonna drop me off at Warped to I'll come and get you then, okay?" I said, sighing, I could feel the tears building in my eyes, I heard him sigh, "Okay baby, I'll see you then, I love you" he said, I smiled a little, "Okay, I love you too, bye" I said before hanging up, I sighed holding my head in my hands, what the fuck have I done? I thought, "He'll be fine, he forgives you anyway?" Austin said, I almost jumped out of my skin, "Can you please stop doing that?" I asked laughing as I stood up, "Sorry" he said holding his hands up, "I know I just feel bad?" I said walking towards him, he just shrugged, "We all make mistakes?" He said looking at me with a sympathetic smile, I nodded, "Do you mind if I take a shower, it's just I look like shit and I don't want to have curly hair?" I asked, he nodded, "Tino, get Max a towel, I'll leave the hairdryer on my bed for you since you seemed to be making yourself at home there" he laughed, I nodded and giggled as I made my way to the shower.

I jumped in the shower and washed my hair and body, unfortunately I had to use men's shower gel so now my body smells like Lynx Chocolate and my hair smells like Head and Shoulders Apple? As I jumped out of the shower I realized I hadn't brought a second towel for my body in, I carefully opened the door peaking my head around the corner and seeing that it was still just Austin, "Austin!" I whispered, he looked up at me, "Yeah?" He said confused, "Can I get a towel for my body because right now I have the towel for my hair wrapped around my body and it's pretty short?" I said, he looked at me and laughed a little, "Yeah" he said getting up and grabbing me a towel, he walked over and gave me it, looking me up and down, "Hey, it's not polite to stare?" I said closing the door, well isn't he a flirt? I thought as I dried myself and wrapped a towel around my hair. I walked out and back into the bunks, as promised the hair dryer was on his bunk, I turned it on as it was battery powered and started blow drying my hair, it was actually pretty good, my hair was dry within 10 minutes, I got dressed again and brushed my hair walking out, this time the bus was full, I sat in an empty seat beside Austin, "When do we arrive at Warped?" I asked Austin, "Uhh about 30-40 minutes" he said smiling, I nodded and relaxed in my seat, I heard the toilet flush and saw Alan come out and rush towards me, "You're in my seat?" He said whining and crossing his arms, "Oh sorry?" I said standing up as he sat back down, I was literally standing in front of everyone and it made me uncomfortable, I think Austin noticed because he leaned forward, grabbed my hand and pulled me on to his knee, I smiled at him as I held on to his neck, the bus was going pretty fast, it was scary, soon I started to lean into Austin's chest and fall asleep as he brushed my hair with his fingers.
