I Promise You, Someday

*Jaime's POV*

There is something Max isn't telling me, I can feel it, but I just don't know what it is, "Hime's can you pass me some underwear please?" I heard Max ask from the en suite, "Sure thing babes" I said rummaging through her drawer and finding a nice pair of thongs and a strapless bra, I walked through and noticed her standing naked, doing her make up in the mirror, I lifted her feet to pull up her thong and clipped her bra, not making any of it sexual, "Thank you baby" She said, turning around and kissing my cheek, I blushed a little as I smiled, walking out and going to get myself dressed. While I was i the middle of straightening my hair I heard Alexis scream, I immediately ran out and down the hall to check on her, she was standing on her bed crying, "Alexis what happened?" I asked just as Max and Zach ran in, she pointed to the floor, "Someone left a muddy footprint on my carpet" She cried out, I laughed a little with relief and disbelief, I turned to Max who was wrapped in a towel with her eyes wide, meanwhile Zach was in stitches, "Okay baby, I'll clean that, you finish getting dressed" I said kissing her forehead and lifting her off the bed, Max and I were walking back to our room when she broke the silence, "I know we said we were going to wait until she was older to get her tested but I think she really needs it now?" She said, looking at me with wide eyes again as she pulled her clothes off the bed and in to the bathroom, "Yeah definitely. Why are you getting changed in the bathroom like I've never seen anything before?" I asked laughing, "Because I want to make a grand entrance, joking, I feel like it's a tradition that you don't see me until I am actually fully dressed" She shouted back out, I nodded a little, laughing. By the time Max and Alexis were ready we were running five minutes late, Zach and I had been ready for over half an hour, "I think it's a women thing" Zach said turning to me as if he could read my thoughts, I was about to comment back but was interrupted when I heard heels coming down the stairs, first was Alexis, "Wow baby, you look amazing!" I gushed as she ran and jumped into my arms, blushing and giggling, I put her down when I saw Max, my breath was took away, I mean she looks beautiful naturally in sluggish clothes but she looked gorgeous tonight, "Max you are stunning!" I gushed running over to her, I went to take her hand but her phone blocked it, I looked at her case, "Matching cases" I said holding mine against hers, they were wedding presents from Mr and Mrs Fuentes, she smiled and kissed my cheek, "I know" She said as we started to walk to the car.

When we pulled up at the Restaurant everything was dark, "Hey guys, I think it might be closed?" Zach said, getting out the back door, "No I phoned earlier and it turns out to be a power cut, they tweeted about it" Max lied looking at me with convincing eyes, I laughed, picking Alex out of the car, "Will I go in first?" Zach asked, we all nodded, including Alexis, he pulled the door open and walked in, "Why is there no s.." He said but was cut off when they lights were switched back on revealing tables beautifully decorated, a massive cake, an open bar, a food table and all our family and friends shouting, "SURPRISE!!!" Simultaneously, he jumped as did Max, Alex and I, Vic, Danielle and Tony and Mike came running towards us, "Welcome Home, Zach" Tony said, patting his back and giving him a hug as did Vic, Danielle and Mike, Max was crying as was Zach, "I have never seen him cry" Max whispered to me, "That's so sweet" I said at the fact that people throwing a welcome home party is enough to crack a solid soldier of 7/8 years. I took my phone out and snapped a picture of this memorable moment, I posted it to Instagram captioning it, "Welcome Home, @ZachCr00ks, we love you, @PTVMike @PierceTheVic @TonyPerry @xoMissDanielle @TheRealMaxC" I locked my phone and let the likes and comments roll in as I got lost in the moment, I looked around and noticed Max was missing finally after searching around I saw her and Mike at the bar having a 'heated' conversation, I was about to go over when she started laughing so I just left it. I am watching them though. Or more importantly, him.
