Bulletproof Love

Jaime’s POV:

I rolled over in bed to check the time; it was 8:30 now. Emily’s plane lands in San Diego at 3:00 so I have some time before I go get her. I hopped out of bed and took a quick shower, and then I made some waffles because I knew Tony would be up soon. About ten minutes later Tony walked out of his room.

“So Emily comes home tomorrow!” I said.

“I can’t wait to see her” Tony said sighing. He had the biggest smile on his face. We talked for a few more minutes before Tony’s phone rang, he looked at it and when he saw it his smile disappeared. He stood up and waked over to our fridge and pulled out a beer.

“Tony what are you doing, its only 9:00am” I said he shrugged it off and he kept drinking, and he didn’t stop.

The clock hit 2:00 and I was about to head out, Tony was still downing the beers. What message could he have gotten that would change his mood like that?

“Tone, I am going to the store. Do you need anything?” I yelled.

“Get me a pack of cigarettes!” he yelled.

“Tony you don’t smoke!”

“Fine, I’ll call Mike then!” I rolled my eyes and got into my car. I plugged in my phone and jammed to ‘My Chemical Romance’ the whole way. I got there at 2:30 and waited by her gate.

Emily’s POV:

My plane landed in no time and I was so excited to surprise Tony. I walked out of my gate with my backpack over my shoulder, I spotted Jaime and I ran over to him. He picked me up and swung me around.

“I missed you, kid!” he said throwing his arm over my shoulder. We got my bags from baggage claim and threw them in his car. Once we pulled into his driveway I almost flew out of the car but Jaime grabbed me.

“Emily, I want you to know that this morning Tony got a text and his whole mood changed. He hasn’t stopped drinking” he said warning me, I nodded and ran inside.

“Tony, I got you something!” Jaime yelled. Tony came stumbling out, I lit up when I saw him but his face went blank. He turned and walked back into his room slamming the door behind him. I walked over to his room and banged my fists on his door.

“Cesar Antonio Soto Perry you better open this goddamn door right now!” I screamed. He swung the door open and stared blankly at me. “Tony what the fuck is going on with you?” I yelled. He furrowed his eyebrows at me.

“Oh like you don’t know!” he slurred I could smell the alcohol off his breathe.

“No, I don’t, please Tony, inform me” I said with an amused expression. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and showed me a text with a picture, at first I couldn’t tell what is was but then it clicked.

Alex Gaskarth: Wow, Tone you sure picked a good kisser. She’s a catch.

And then there was a photo, of Alex and me. We were kissing; Alex drugged me and raped me.

“Did you think I wouldn’t find out?” Tony yelled.

“Tony, I swear it’s not…” his hand slapped my face, it stung. I looked up at him with pleading eyes. I turned around and started walking away.

“That’s right walk away you little whore!” he yelled, I turned around and smiled at him. I punched him in the nuts then walked back out to Jaime’s car.

“Please take me home” I said crying. And he did.
