Bulletproof Love

Emily’s POV:

“I got your picture, I’m coming with you, dear Maria count me in…” I heard the last few notes of ‘Dear Maria’ play and I smiled as I got out of bed. Apparently everyone was awake except me, I checked the time, 1:00pm holy shit of course everyone is up. I walked towards the back lounge and found the boys with their guitars.

“Sleepy head is alive!” Alex said standing up and running towards me for a hug.

“Shut up” I laughed as I turned around and ran into the bathroom. I changed into my grey skinny jeans, and a key street tee. I did some quick makeup then joined the boys in the back. I grabbed my drum seat and started playing ‘Missing You’ with them, after no time I was singing too.

“You’ll be missing out, and we’ll be missing you…” I let Alex finish the song. This was so fun, I am glad that my life is falling into place; I have a boy who loves me, two amazing brothers, three awesome friends and a band that I get to tour with. We finished our jam session and walked out to find Matt.

“Sound check at 4:00, Meet and Greet at 5:00 and show at 7” he said like he knew what we were going to ask. “Em, you can go to the Meet and Greet if you want or you can work the merch tent”

“I’ll do merch, after all everyone is here to see ‘All Time Low’” I laughed matt nodded.

“Well I think I am going to go explore the place! This is a new venue for us, and I need to find a new work out spot” Zack said heading towards the door. I followed him out. We soon reached the stage and I stood back stage staring at the venue.

“Em, go check out your view” Zack whispered and I did. I went out and walked to where my drums would be set up. I couldn’t help but smile when I saw all the empty space that would be filled. “It’s a pretty amazing view, huh?” Zack said standing next to me.

“I can’t even believe it” I sighed. After exploring every nook and cranny the stage had we checked out our dressing rooms. We continued to walk around the venue.

“Alex, I told you once I’ll tell you twice you cannot play both therapy and remembering Sunday!” Matt yelled from the halls. Me and Zack looked at each other and held in our laughs.

“But Matt, I have to play both I can’t pick one!” Alex whined.

“Hey, I think we should say fuck it, and play extra song s tonight!” Jack shouted.

“We will talk about this after sound check” Matt stated. We checked our watches and found that it was 3:50, we practically ran to the stage.

“Glad you could join us” Matt said rolling his eyes as we walked on. It went by pretty quick Zack got done first and went off probably to work out. I was quick too, but I stayed and watched Jack and Alex argue about who’s mic should be louder.

It was 5:15 and everybody was set up at their table with their pens. I stood across from them in the merch tent. A few people would come by and ask me to sign stuff or for pictures, and that made me happy. When meet and greet was over by 6:10 and we were headed towards the stage.

“So how fucking excited are you Em?” Jack said running towards me.

“I am scared out of my mind” I mumbled.

“You’re going to do great” he said kissing my cheek. I smiled at him and hugged him. We were back stage getting our monitors set up and working and that’s when I heard it, the crowd screaming.

“All Time Low” they chanted over and over, I love this feeling. My drum tech gave me a wave and I ran out and looked into the crowd taking in the sight.

I am so glad I am here.
