Bulletproof Love

Emily’s POV:

“Mike please tell me that we are almost home!” I said sounding desperate, it was finally the end of tour and we were headed home.

“Ask Vic” he said not taking his eyes off of the TV. I frowned at him and then threw myself so that I was lying on his lap; he paused the TV and then looked down at me.

“No, I honestly don’t know go ask Vic!” he laughed. I rolled off of the couch and landed on the floor. I made some weird animal noises and started to walk towards the back.

“You are an idiot!” Mike yelled towards me.

“Love you too Mikey!”

I slid next to Vic who was sitting on the couch with his laptop. “What do you want?” he said.

“Are we almost home?” I asked crossing my fingers hopping for a yes.

“We are like five minutes away, will you live?” I jumped up and kissed his cheek.

“Five minutes!” I announced to Mike who was watching his movie again. We were joined by Tony and Jaime not long after.

“Hey Em, want to come over tonight?” Tony said.

“Of course!” I said practically throwing myself onto him. I felt the bus come to a stop and I ran to the door which was still locked. “Bus driver please open the door the boy smell is getting to my head!” the door opened and I fell out. I was followed out by four laughing guys. I pretended to act sad and pouted at them.

“Shut Em it’s funny” Jaime said as he picked me up and carried me inside, he threw me onto the couch and then left to go help the other guys unload. I walked over to our guest room and flung the door open. Cameron almost smashed me when she saw me.

“Oh my god Em! You’re back! Tell me all about it!” she yelled.

“Wait Cam, did you clean the house?” I laughed.

“Not important Em!” she said pulling me onto the bed next to her. With that I shared every story and everything that happened with her. She giggled every time I mentioned Jaime. “I am so glad you had fun! Wait, does that mean Jaime is back?” she seemed so excited. I nodded and she ran out screaming. I walked out and went into my room. I stared at the walls that I hadn’t seen in so long. I reached into the drawer of my night stand; I pulled out my old journal and started reading my old entries.


December 3rd,

Today when I was walking to class someone tripped me. I don’t even know what I have ever done to these people to make them hate me. It’s so stupid. Anyways after I fell I grabbed my books and ran out to the playground by the house. I sat on the swing and just talked to dad. I kept asking if I could just give up and go hang out with him, but before I could get a real answer some dude sat on the swing next to me. He kept talking to me and asking if I was alright, eventually he realized that I don’t talk and he just started telling me stories of his past. He told me that his name was Alex, what a pretty name.

I flipped through the pages looking for another chapter.

February 14th,

Holy shit you will never guess what happened today! Alex asked me to be his girlfriend, excuse me I have been making weird noises for the past two hours now! Oh and by the way I started talking again, and Alex said that his band might go on a real tour soon. I am so proud of him.

March 13th,

Alex left for tour today and I just know that I am going to miss him so much. Mike and Vic finally found a guitarist for their band, they said that this guy is basically me but in guy form. They say I can meet him later because he is really shy. LOL I bet he is cute, wait what.

March 25th,

Alex hasn’t texted me since tour started and I am starting to think he just doesn’t like me anymore. He also posted a picture with some bitch named Sara. Ugh, boys.

April 22nd,

Well I’m just assuming that Alex doesn’t like me anymore. I’m lonely again and I just wish that people would stop leaving my life so abruptly.

I stopped when I got to May 2nds entry, this was it. I ripped it out and shoved it in my pocket. I don’t know why I did but I felt like I would need it.
