Counting The Stars and Scars

*Max's POV*
I woke up on the floor, so I must have fell off the bed when I came back in from talking with Mike last night? I looked at my clock and realised it was 7:15, I had slept in and Vic and Mike were coming for me in half an hour, I pulled myself up off the floor and ran to my closet, pulling out whatever I saw first, I ran to the bathroom, jumped in the shower with my toothbrush and toothpaste, I was quickly brushing my teeth, washing my hair and shaving what needed to be shaved in a panic. I jumped out and towel dried my hair, letting it flow naturally curly, I wrapped the towel around me and quickly done my make-up. I then pulled on my underwear and my outfit. I ran down and shoved an apple for lunch and a bottle of water in my bag, I pulled on my shoes, jacket and bag and threw some bird seed for the birds, I locked the back door and by that time I heard a car horn in my drive. I locked up and jumped in the back beside Mike.

By the time we picked up Tony and Jaime, we had 15 minutes before the bell. Mike's outfit was lazy, so ideal for him, Vic's outfit was very colour coded for him, Tony's outfit was pretty 'Tony' and Jaime's outfit was perfect, as always... I really need to calm down, he's never gonna like me, I don't care what Mike says, or what that kiss says, he probably just pity's me? I was startled out of my thoughts by the bell, Tony grabbed my arm in the crowd of people and dragged me to PE, as that's what we have first and second actually, we have a double period. We liked to keep our PE Kit low key because there are a lot of stuck up people who try to out do each other with their kit. The first sport was Basketball, I was quite good at that sport, Tony wasn't but he's getting better. I couldn't help but giggle watching him try to do a lay up, "I'm never playing Basketball again!" he whined, "Awww why?" I giggled, "I have been hit in the face 5 times, BY MYSELF!!" he screamed I burst out laughing, the bell went for period two and we got changed and headed to the class for our theory lesson, the most boring part of PE.

Theory went by pretty fast, Tony and I met Vic and Jaime at the stairs near the Main Entrance, "Hey where is Mike?" I asked, Vic and Jaime pointed at the same time, I turned to look behind me at where they were pointing, the Smoke Hut, I never even knew Mike smoked, I knew he drank, but not smoked? "Okay, I'm gonna go speak to him" I said, I got a weird look from Jaime as he was walking away, I just shrugged it off as nothing. As I made my way to the Smoke Hut I saw a bus pull up outside the school gates, I watched as I saw Molly and Rachael get off first, I ended up running over and hiding behind Mike, gaining some odd looks from his friends, "Hey Max, what's up?" He laughed out, I wasn't taking this as a joke I knew what was going to happen as soon as she started speaking to Jason, he would twist the story and make me out to be the psychotic one and she would come after me, "M-m-molly" I stuttered out, he looked at me and looked to where I was staring, he stubbed out his cigarette, "Alright boys I gotta head, I'll catch you later" I said waving as I puled Max along with me, "Max calm down okay, stay here I'm gonna go get Vic, Tony and Jaime and we can leave, okay?" I nodded as I stood outside the Cafeteria

I was waiting on Mike to come back, when I heard "There she is!!" it was Jason's voice, I dared to turn my head to the side and saw Molly charging towards me followed by Rachael and Jason. I was frantically looking around for Mike, but he was no where, I soon stiffened when when they got too close for me to run, "Hey, Slut, what do you think you're doing trying to go on to my boyfriend just because I was gone on a trip? Did you think he wasn't gonna tell me?" I just stared with a scared, blank expression on my face, "I-I I didn't do a-anythin-g, I swear" I stuttered my anxiety raging causing me to shake, "I-I-I speak up when I'm talking to you, bitch!" she pushed me backwards making me slam my back into the radiator going the full width of the wall, I whimpered out in pain and that's when Jaime burst through the door, "Jaime, she'll be fine I only lef..." I heard Mike trail off as he say me lying on the floor crying in pain, Molly standing over me, "MAX!" Jaime screamed, "I'm fine" I said as he picked me up bridal style again, while Vic was shouting at Molly asking her what is wrong with her, Tony behind him and Mike looking guilty, it's not his fault, I said I'd be okay, as I was being carried out the doors I hear Megan shout, "We'll get you when your boyfriends aren't around, you little slut!"

I couldn't bare the thought of people staring at me as Jaime carried me out so I buried my head in the crook of his neck, again. As we were getting in the car Jaime asked me if I wanted to sit in the back with Mike and him or in the front on Tony with Vic, I stayed on Jaime's lap the whole way back, although it was painful, I turned myself around so I was looking at Mike who was staring out the window more quiet than ever, "Mike?" I whispered he just looked at me with a sad expression, "It's not your fault, you were doing the right thing, I said I'd be fine on my own" I reached out and took hold of his hand, I squeezed it earning a squeeze and kiss in return, again I was dropped off at Jaime's as I was getting out I ran around to Mike's side and opened his door telling him to get out, he done as he was told, for once, "Seriously Mike, cheer up, I got you something, they were in my locker from when I used to smoke, but I quit now so here, you have them" I handed him three zippo lighters, his face lit up, he hugged me causing me to whimper due to my earlier injury, "Oh my god, I'm so sorry, but thank you!" he gave me a kiss on the cheek and got back in the car, Vic sped off taking Tony home first. I started limping again so Jaime picked me up and took me inside, even though I tried to explain to him that I'm too heavy.
