Counting The Stars and Scars

*Jaimes POV*

6:30pm
I was woke by screaming and shouting I turned to my left and there was Max crying and shaking, "No!! Stop leave me alone!! STOP!!" I started to panic as I gently shook Max's arm, "Max wake up, Max?" She jolted awake and look at me in a panicking frenzy, then she broke down, I put my arms around her and started to calm her down, "Shh, it's alright, it was just a dream" I cooed, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you" She replied, "That's alright I had an alarm set for 7pm anyway, do you want me to take you home?" I could feel her head nodding on my neck. "Okay get your shoes on, I'm just going to go wash my face, do you want anything to eat or drink?" she shook her head no, "Alright" I could feel her staring at me as I put a clean t-shirt on and walked into my en-suite to wash my face.

I came back to see her looking at my pictures on my desk, "Is this your family?" she asked curiously, tilting her head to the side as she turned and looked at me, damn she is so fucking adorable, "Yeah, they are back in Mexico, we came over here to stay because my Grandma was sick so.." I could feel the tears burning my eyes but I refused to let them fall. Max must have noticed because she rushed over and hugged me, "I'm sorry, my Grandma died too.." the hug lasted a while until she looked down and started laughing at my choice of clothing, "Really?" she giggled, her face going bright red, "Don't laugh at me, they are comfy!" I defended, "They are silly!" she choked out over her laugh, "Come on, lets go!" I grumbled walking out my room, "Awww Himess, I'm sorry, I will never laugh at your footwear again, even if they are silly and girly!" she came running after me, I saw he whipping out her iPhone as I turned around and taking a picture, "Hey, you said!" I pouted, "I know but it's just too funny!" she laughed as she posted the picture on Instagram tagging me, "This is adorableeee! @PTVJaime", "Hey Himes?" she asked as we were driving down the road, "Yeah?" I answered, "Take a left here and, what does PTV in your Instagram name mean?", I smiled, "Me, Vic, Tony and Mike are in a band called Pierce The Veil, like we're not publicly out there but we're working on it, I play Bass with Tony and Vic sings and Mike plays Drums!, "Oh that's so exciting!" she said clapping her hands and smiling.

We soon reached her house and we were sitting in the car talking when I noticed there were no lights on in her house for being 7:15pm, but I just brushed it off, maybe her parents work late or something? She was about to leave when I grabbed her hand and pulled her back, she looked at me questioningly, "Promise me you won't hurt yourself tonight?" she looked at me and nodded, "I promise" she smiled, I don't know what I was thinking but I leaned in and kissed her, on the lips, and to my surprise she kissed back! We pulled away and she blushed, "Thank you for today" she whispered as she jumped out grabbing her bag and running in the house, unlocking the door. Wow, this girl is having an effect on me, this is more than just a crush, I reversed out of her drive way when I saw her turn the living room light on and drove away, turning the radio on and listening to Blink-182- All the small things, how ironic?
