Counting The Stars and Scars

*Jaime's POV*

"It's not your fault and trust me, he's never going to touch you again, once we're done with him, I promise beautiful!" I heard Mike say, I was almost in tears after hearing that whole conversation, I can't believe she has been through so much, I opened her door, and her head shot up, "Jaime?" she whispered, her eyes were all red and puffy as if she had hay fever, I didn't say a word, I just held out my arms and she ran to them, "I'm so sorry I didn't tell you, I just didn't know how and he said that he would come and..." she rushed out, trailing off, "Ssshhh, it's all right" I looked up at Mike who was drying his eyes, I nodded at him giving a look as if to say, "We're gonna get this guy, right?" he looked back nodding and cracking his knuckles, "Hey Max, baby?" I said calmly she looked up, "Why don't you go downstairs Vic and Tony are coming over soon, put the kettle on yeah?" she nodded, before she left, I gave her a long meaningful kiss, holding her face, looking deep in her eyes, "I love you" I said, she smiled, "I love you too" she gave me a quick peck on the lips then made her way over to Mike giving him a long hug and kissing him on the cheek then left.

"Dude, we're going to get this dick, right, we're not just going to sit back and watch as she gets traumatized!?" Mike said giving me wide eyes, "Fuck no! We're gonna hunt this little pussy ass bitch down and teach him a fucking lesson!" I said cracking my knuckles, "We just need to get Vic and Tony on board now!" I said, we were sitting on Max's bed crossed legged, talking tactics when she came back up with a cup of tea, setting it on the bedside table and grabbing her pyjamas from her closet, "I'm just going to get changed, okay?" she said making her way to the bathroom, she was taking a while so I went to see what she was doing, I opened the bathroom door and there was no sign of her, weird, I looked over at the window and it was open, I started to panic, "Mike!! MIKE!!" I shouted I heard him running through, she's gone, I can't find her!?" I panicked, "Dude what are you talking about she's sitting on the bed, she got changed and went and got us some crisps and beer?" he said, I laughed at myself, feeling stupid, I walked back through and there she was, sitting on the bed reading, I leaned against the door frame staring at her, with her reading glasses on, she looked beautiful, "You've got a good one there, she's gorgeous and very domesticated, she's good for you, Himes" Mike said standing behind me, "Yeah, I know" I replied, smiling, before walking in and sitting beside her, she set her book down and took her glasses off, leaning into he and closing her eyes, "Tired?" I asked I felt her nod as I played with her hair, soon enough she was asleep. I heard the front door open and shut again as someone made their way upstairs, Vic and Tony burst in the door, "What's happened!?" Vic exclaimed, "Ssshhh!" I hissed pointing towards a sleeping Max, "Ooops, sorry" he whispered, Tony hit his chest, laughing at him.

I moved Max off me and pulled the covers over her as I closed the door and made my way downstairs beside the others, "So what's the emergency?" Tony asked, him and Vic's eyes falling on Mike and I, I explained everything to them and they were in, "Let's catch this dickhead!" Tony said, making his way out to my car, I let Vic drive as him and Tony were the only ones that hadn't been drinking, I locked up and jumped in the front beside Vic while Tony and Mike were in the back, "So where do we plan on actually finding theses guys?" Tony asked, "Max told us that they hangout down at the alley behind Troy's Cafe so we're gonna try there if not then our next best bet is the park on 6th Avenue?" I explained as we pulled up just outside the alley behind the Cafe, thankfully they were there. I hoped out first then Vic, Mike and finally Tony, we all put bandanas around our nose and mouths and put our hood up so they wouldn't notice us, there were 4 of them 1 girl, Molly and 3 guys who I were guessing are Jason, David and Paul "Hey!!" I shouted as I walked towards them, the guys behind me, "Which one of you are Jason?" asked acting like I didn't know who he was, "Yeah that's me" he said stepping forward, proudly, "And David and Paul?" I asked again, they said, yeah stepping forward, I'm guessing they are twins because they looked identically ugly. I picked Jason, Mike picked Paul and Tony and Vic both picked David, Molly was shaking in terror in the corner, me and Mike threw punches at the same time hitting them in the noses at the exact same time, "Jason!!!" Molly screamed trying to make her way over but Mike growled at her and she went back to the corner, Vic had pinned David to the ground after punching him and Tony was kicking his sides and stomping on him, I we threw a couple more punches and kicks at Jason and Paul until the couldn't stand and were practically bleeding all over, "Don't EVER TOUCH MAX CROOKS AGAIN!! OR NEXT TIME YOU'LL BE DEAD AND IN A COFFIN!! DO YOU HEAR ME!!?" I shouted they all groaned in agreement, as we were leaving I turned around and went up to Molly, "That goes for you too!" I sneered, "I won't hit a girl but I know people who aren't afraid to" I said, she was still shaking as she nodded, we headed back, we got out of the car, I opened the front door, "Babe!?" I shouted, I saw Max running towards me, I opened my arms just in time as she jumped onto me, "I missed you so much!" she wept into my neck, "I'm here, it's okay, I'm here!" I said rubbing her back before I set her down, the rest of the guys came in, "I don't think anyone will be bothering you ever again, Max" Mike said as he lowered his bandana and hood, she hugged him and then Vic and then Tony, "Thank you so much, this means a lot. I mean you didn...." she trailed off, gasping she came running over, "What happened to your knuckles?" she said, I looked down at my bruised knuckles that were bleeding, "I gave them a taste of their own medicine" I said, she tutted and grabbed my hand gently pulling me to the kitchen, she pointed at the seat as she climbed on the counter and opened a cupboard.

After bandaging Mine, Mike and Tony's knuckles up we all called in for a pizza and headed over to Vic's for this 'important meeting', Max just stayed in her pyjamas as she couldn't be bothered getting changed, we were all at Vic's, "So what's so important that it couldn't wait?" Max asked, curled up into me as she was freezing cold, "Well I wanted to tell you that, because we basically recorded our full album, A Flair For The Dramatic, the producer liked us and he signed us, WE'RE GOING ON TOUR NEXT FEBRUARY!!!" He screamed, we all stood up cheering and hugging, except from Max, she had her head in her hands, almost crying, "Max what's wrong?" I asked rubbing her back, "I'm happy for you guys but I'm going to miss you so much! What if you find someone skinnier, better looking and just all round more amazing than me on tour?" she sobbed into me, "That's the best part though Max!" Vic said, she looked up confused, "You are our photographer, you get come with us!!" he said excitedly, "Wait so I'M GOING!?" She asked jumping up, Vic nodded, "WE'RE GOING ON TOUR!!" She screamed and I just laughed pulling her onto my knee, "And as for finding someone better that's never going to happen, your mine and I love you so much, no one else could ever beat you" I said reassuring her, she smiled and kissed me, passionately, "I love you too" she said, kissing me again.
