Counting The Stars and Scars

*Jaime's POV*

"Are you ready?" I asked Max as she stared out the window, being silent, she looked at me tears in her eyes as she shook her head, no, "Aw baby" I said reaching over and resting my hand on her thigh, rubbing it, "You'll have at least one of us beside you the whole day, I promise, okay?" She nodded as she held my hand in hers looking back out of the window again. We arrived at school, as we were parking I spotted Vic, Mike and Tony over by their car, speaking and having a good time, I could feel Max starting to shake, "Max, honey?" She looked at me with nervousness and fear in her eyes, "Calm down, I'm right here okay?" She responded by kissing my hand. We stepped out of the car, I jogged round grabbing her hand and rubbing my thumb across the back of it, she gave me a reassuring sile and kept her head down the whole way to Vic, Mike and Tony, when we reached them Max hugged Mike first, "Morning beautiful, how are you doing?" I heard him whisper in her ear as they embraced in a tight hug, I heard her mumble something into his chest but I couldn't make it out, I tried to stay calm but I get jealous of how close her and Mike are, I don't know why? Next was Vic and then Tony, I was happy to get her back in my arms again.

We went into the Cafeteria to sit until the bell, there were other students studying for their exams, thank god this is my last year I thought, I heard saw someone walk by out of the corner of my eye, I didn't bother to look until I heard that voice, "Eww look at thaat slag and her four boyfriends!" Molly sneered, then I heard Jason, "Oh no, she's only going out with the one with the spiky hair, it's aaallll over her instagram and his too" I look at him as he was staring at Max, like he wanted to eat her, I went to get up but I felt a gentle hand on my arm, I turned around and there was Max, sitting with tears in her eyes, "Just leave it" she said, In looked at her, still angry, "But..." I started raising my hand to point to them, but I was cut off, "Please" she pleaded nearly crying, "Okay" I agreed, calmly down, I put my hand on her thigh and she rested her head on my shoulder, "Guys, we need an urgent band meeting at my house at 6, as our photographer to be, Max you are also part of the band so you are invited and you better show up, it's really important, okay?" we all nodded, just then the bell went and everyone started rushing out, "What do you have first?" I asked Max, she pointed to Tony, "Gym, then Maths" she said, before going over and grabbing Tony's arm as the entered the crowd, she didn't like being in them alone, they waited outside the Cafeteria for us, "I'll see you in Maths, okay?" she nodded and gave me a little peck before running off with Tony, I know he'll keep an eye on her, he's like a protective older brother as is Vic and Mike.

I took a seat in Art and Design, watching as people piled in, also taking their seat. I then saw him. Jason, take a seat on his own, no friends, nothing, this is my chance. As we got into the lesson the teacher just let us get on with our own water paintings, I went over to the tap to get some water, his table was right next to the counter where the tap and pots were, I half filled my pot with water and 'accidentally' tripped going back to my table, spilling my water on him, "Hey! What the HELL!?" He stood up shouting, I didn't bother looking at him as I went back to get more water, I put my hands on his table, getting down to eye level with him, "If you ever say anything about ME, MY FRIENDS or MY GIRLFRIEND again, I will come after YOU, and I will get YOU, do you hear me?" I asked looking straight in his eyes, I could be intimidating when I wanted to be, I just nodded, looking a little scared, he never said one word to me during or after class, next was Maths with Max and Jason. I got there before her as the P.E department was at the very bottom of the school and Art was only one floor up from Maths, I saw Jason walk in, quickly glancing at me as he sat down and then re-adverting his eyes to the board, Max walked in looking nervous as she had to walk past Jason, but her nervousness soon turned to relief when he never did or said anything, nice to see he took my advice.
