Counting The Stars and Scars

*Max's POV*

Today is the day I have to face everyone, I tried eating pizza and chips last night to try and put a little more weight on but I made myself throw up afterwards as it didn't feel right having all that forced junk food in my body. I had woke up late as I was supposed to be up for 7am to get washed, dressed and over to Vic's and Mike's by 9am as I needed to cook the breakfast and tody up a little for him but I woke up at 9am, I cursed myself as I jumped out of bed scattering to the bathroom to turn the shower on and running back to my bedroom picking out the neatest outfit I could spot, I wanted to look good so Jaime would forget about everything, oh my god Jaime! I panicked checking my phone and seeing I had one new message from him.

Morning Princess, I'm so glad that it wasn't me, I was panicking, I can't wait for our date tomorrow I promise you'll love it, can't wait to see you and hold you in my arms today xx

I smiled and stared at the screen until I remembered I was late, I lay the outfit on my bed and quickly stripped down as I was on my way to the shower leaving a trail of clothes from my bedroom to the shower, I jumped in quickly washing my hair, body and shaving what needed to be shaved. I jumped out into the freezing cold drying myself and wrapping a towel around my body and a separate on my hair, I wiped the mirror as it was covered in condensation and done my make up, running back through to my bed and throwing on the items of clothing I chose. I called a cab as I didn't want to be more late by walking, I raced downstairs and grabbed an apple and bottle of water for breakfast, making a mental note to pick up more apples, I threw some bird seed for the birds and heard a horn honking, I locked all the doors and jumped in the back of the cab, it wasn't Andy today it was a boring driver who never uttered a word the whole way, even when we stopped at the convenient store for breakfast supplies.

When we reached Vic's house I payed the driver and jumped out, running up his pathway and finding the key under the flower pot, "How original, guys?" I thought, unintentionally giggling out loud as I entered their house it was cold and smelled like cologne still, I turned the heating on as I needed to get warmer, I went around spraying the carpets with this foam stuff and hoovering and sweeping the house from top to bottom, spraying some air freshener in each room as I go. I tidy up at the back of me and grabbing the bag full of food I got from the shop down the road, I started by heating up the pan and making the pancake mix it was now going on 12:15pm and the guys were due back in 45-60 minutes, I got cooking throwing in sausages, bacon and eggs in the pan, I made three different types of egg, scrambled, omelettes and fried a couple with a burst yolk and a couple non burst as I wasn't sure if their preference. I made the pancakes and put on beans and fried tomatoes and fried bread, by the time I had cooked everything and put it in the microwave and oven to stay warm it was 13:05 and I had to quickly lay everything out on the big island in the middle of the kitchen, the island was like mine but it was a little thicker and longer, seating more people.

Just as I was taking off my apron I heard the door open and quickly placed the hugs of fresh apple and orange juice on the table, I hid under it tucking the seats in front of me so they wouldn't notice, I heard them all talking and then it stopped, "Can you smell that?" I heard Vic ask, "Yeah it smells like..." Mike trailed off, there was a pause until I heard all of them simultaneously shout "BACON AND PANCAKES" at the same time I tried not to burst out laughing as that would give it away, I heard the padding of feet as they ran in the kitchen gushing over the food that I made them, "But who cooked this?" Tony asked as they all moved to the opposite side to where I was hiding I tried not to make a noise as I moved the stools, I jumped up, "ME!!" I screamed, I have never heard 4 grown ass men scream as loud in my life, I almost peed laughing, I was soon engulfed in a hug from Tony, then from Vic and then from Mike, when he he pulled away I was caught off guard by Jaime as he wrapped his arms around me so tightly, I wrapped my arms around him in return and we stood there for what felt like forever as the others scoffed the food, I was just taking in his presence and his musky scent, until we finally pulled away, I earned a stern glare from Mike, basically telling me to tell him but I ignored him as I would do it when the time felt right, Jaime and I just stared at each other, until he grabbed my arm and dragged me out the back.

We sat on the swing out the back porch like an old married couple, staring at the sky when Jaime broke the comfortable silence, "Missed you so much" he said I lifted my head off his shoulder keeping my hand interlaced with his, "I missed you too" I said looking deep into his eyes. He touched my face with his hands and pulled himself closer, making our lips finally meet, I was longing for a taste of him, this right here is the guy I fell in love with in a day, I told myself.

Our lips moved in perfect sync and when we pulled away I could still feel we sat there in silence for an extra couple of minutes until ae decided to go inside the guys had ate everything but left us a plate each with a variety of the food I cooked, I wasn't hungry so put it in the microwave for later, but I knew I was going to forget about it, I earned a sad look from Jaime, "I already had something before you guys came" I lied, but he seemed convinced enough as he looked at my with a smile, it hurts having to lie to him. It really does.
