I'll be the Brightest, You'll See

"So you haven't even listened to Pierce the Veil?" Kiera asked me, she was sitting on my bed with her legs crossed in front of her. I stood in front of the mirror fixing my hair for the day.

"I was locked away for 5 years, no I haven't heard them." I shrugged.

"I remember first hearing them on the radio, it was amazing." She gushed.

"Are they even famous?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"They're semi famous. Jeremy McKinnon done vocals on one of their songs." She informed me.

"No way!" I said with a shocked look on my face.

"Yeah, it's their most famous song too." She smiled happily. "I just wouldn't go to Hot Topic with Vic." She got up off the bed and walked over to the window.

"So what are you doing today?" I asked Kiera. She blushed and hid her face. So I walked over to her and stood next to her. "Kiera?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"I'm meeting up with a friend." She said quietly.

"That's cool, have a good day." I told her with a cherry smile. She hung her head and scurried away quickly.

I laughed to myself at how adorable she is, sometimes I forget that she's an adult now because I haven't really seen her in the most important growing up years a person has.

I looked out the window and noticed Alysha and Mike coming out of his house. They stopped for a second and faced each other, they looked so adorable. Mike leaned in and kissed Alysha, it wasn't a short kiss either. When they pulled apart they hugged and then Alysha made her way over to my house.

I sat down on my bed and waited for Alysha to come up to my room. She walked through the door with the biggest grin on her face. "Someone had a good night." I stated, wiggling my eyebrows in a suggestive manner.

"You've no idea." She rolled her eyes and dumped her bag on the floor, flopping down onto the bed and spreading her arms out in front of her.

"So are you two together or?" I grinned at her, she looked at me with the most adorable smile on her face.

"I think so." She sighed happily.

"As long as you're happy then I'm happy." I smiled at her.

"I know it's early but I really like him, like a lot." She said as she sat up and faced me.

"There is no rule on how fast you fall for someone." I told her, she couldn't keep the smile off her face.

"Thank you for being the best cousin I could ask for." She pretty much launched herself onto me and hugged me tightly.

"It's what I'm here for." I smiled into her hug.

"Scarlett! Vic is down here." I heard Ali call up the stairs.

"I'll be right back." I told Alysha and got up. I walked down stairs and Vic was standing at the bottom. "You could have just came up." I laughed.

"Well I only came by to ask you a question." He looked nervous.

"Okay?" I questioned.

"Would you and Alysha like to go on a double date with me and Mike tonight?" He asked, staring at his feet. I've never seen him so nervous before.

I closed the gap between us and looked at his face. "Of course we would." I said happily. He finally looked into my eyes and his lit up.

"Be ready for 7." He told me, kissing me quickly on the cheek and then dashing off out of the house.

"We have genuinely never looked better." Alysha gushed as we stood in front of my bedroom mirror with our dresses on.

"I agree, we look good." I smiled. Alysha took a few pictures of us. I was wearing a long sleeve black dress with a white collar. The dress stopped mid thigh and I paired it with boots with thick heels. Alsyha was wearing a skin tight blue dress with white heels.

"It's 6:58, our boys will be here in a minute." She grinned at me and pulled me towards the bedroom door. I quickly grabbed a bag off my dresser and put my phone in it. When we got downstairs there was a knock at the door. Alysha walked over to it and opened it, Mike and Vic stood on the other side of it. They were both wearing suit jackets and shirts with black skinny jeans. They looked so damn good.

"Hello ladies." Mike grinned at us. Vic stared at me in awe, it made me blush. He walked into the house and over to me.

"You look beautiful." He said softly, quiet enough so that only I could hear. It made me blush though.

"You look great too." I told him, looking him up and down.

"Thank you, now let's get going." Vic turned to Alysha and Mike whom were already making out. "Maybe we should leave them here." Vic laughed softly.

"Guys!?" I yelled at them. They broke apart and both began blushing.

"Sorry." Alysha said with a red face.

"It's okay, let's go now." I told her, we all made our way out of the house and Vic grabbed my hand.

"Who's driving?" Alysha asked, looking at Vic and Mike.

"Actually..." Mike grinned at Vic and then Alysha. Suddenly a limo pulled up in front of the house.

"Okay this is a lot." Alysha gushed, she was so happy right now and that in itself made me happy. I could tell already that her and Mike are meant to be together.

We walked over to the limo and got in. "We plan on taking you ladies to dinner and then we are going to go for a few drinks and meet up with the rest of the guys." Vic told us. I squeezed his hand as a thank you, and he simply returned the gesture.

We had a lovely meal together and it reminded me of the meal I had with Vic in New York when I went to get him. It was romantic and funny. When we were done we got back into the limo and it took us to a club. I've never been to a club before so this is totally new to me.

"Tony and Jaime should be arriving at any moment." Vic said looking at his phone. He was already pretty drunk and it was adorable. He would let go of me, not in a clingy and annoying way but in a cute, you're all mines kinda way.

"Where are they coming from?" I asked him, raising my voice a little to make sure he heard me over the music in the club.

"Tony had a date tonight and Jaime is bringing his girlfriend Jess." Vic informed me. I smiled up at him, totally mesmerised by him.

"I gotta go to the bathroom, I'll be back in a minute." I told him, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. I walked off towards the bathroom and I seen a guy who looked a little like Tony. I continued walking towards the bathroom and the closer I got, the more I realised it is Tony. "Hey Tony." I said cheerily. He was in the middle of kissing a girl and that made me feel dumb. He stopped and looked at me, and that's when I seen who he was kissing. "KIERA?" I shouted, shocked and unsure of what to think.

"Scarlett, oh my God this is embarrassing." She said putting her hands over face.

"What are you doing???" I shook my head, looking between her and Tony.

"We've been dating for about 3 months now." Tony said softly.

"What?" I furrowed my eyebrows, completely shocked.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I looked at Kiera, upset.

"I thought you'd be angry or find it weird." She looked at her feet.

"I'm not gonna lie, I do think it's kinda weird. You knew my sister when she was a young teen." I looked at Tony.

"Yeah and I didn't know her properly until I ran into her at the grocery store a week before I went on tour." He said softly.

"Look I ain't gonna judge, you guys do as you wish but please don't hide anything from me." I told them. They both nodded like two children.

"I'm sorry." Kiera said again.

"Okay but how did you even get in here, you're only 18?" I asked her.

"Fake ID." She said proudly, I rolled my eyes and continued onto the bathroom.

When I got back I went over to Vic again. There was a girl standing next to him, clearly flirting with him. I stood there and watched the events unfold. He looked so uncomfortable. She put her hand on his bicep and giggled at something. He pulled back and looked towards the bartender. I decided now would be a good time to go and save him. I walked over to him and the woman. She looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "This is my girlfriend Scarlett." He introduced me.

"Hey." I said happily and held my hand out for her to shake it. She just looked at it and then walked away, without a word being said.

"You handled that well." He said to me.

"I could say the same to you." I grinned at him.

"She's got nothing on you." He smirked at me.

"So girlfriend?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Do you want to be my girlfriend?" He asked, a serious look appearing on his face.

"100% yes!" I said and wrapped my arms around his neck. I kissed his lips and bit his bottom lip ever so slightly.

"I love when you do that." He moaned in my ear. I gave him a devilish look and then dragged him back over to where Alysha and Mike were sitting at our table.

"Guess what Alysha." I said to her. "Tony is dating my little sister." I announced.

"What!? How do you know?" She almost spat her drink out.

"I saw them kissing in this club, girl got herself a fake ID. So I approached them and apparently they've been secretly dating for 3 months now." I told them all.

"No way, called it. You owe me ten bucks." Mike said to Vic, holding his hand out. Vic groaned and pulled out his wallet and gave Mike ten bucks.

"Well this has been an interesting night." I laughed, taking a sip of my drink.
