I Know It's Hard, But Who Are You To Fall Apart On Me?
I Promise, This Is Personal.
Children are ridiculous. I never want any of my own. I'd go insane. And seriously, the crazier the child, the crazier the parents. On my way home from work I decided to stop at the local camera shop, just for a bit. It's only 5:30pm, I should be okay. After a long day of screaming children, I love just going in and talking to the store owner, Franko, about cameras. It seems to always make my day better.

I finally look at the clock and realize that two hours had passed. Shit, my brother is going to kill me. Awesome.
"Oh, shit! I gotta go. See ya later, Franko!" I yelled while rushing out the door.
"Have fun at dinner with your parents!" Franko laughed from inside.
I jumped in my car and sped off towards home. Pulling in the drive I noticed my parents were already there. Of course, they're never late for anything. I got out and tried to sneak in the door unnoticed. Yeah, right..
"Well, it's nice to see you could finally show up, Blade." My mother said from the dining room table.
"Sorry I'm late. I lost track of time." I sighed. And rolled my eyes when she looked away.
"No surprise there." My mother replied.
I just walked off down the hallway to my room. Typical. My mother never fails to make me feel like shit. This dinner should be just peachy. I slid of my shirt then jeans and quickly changed into a more comfortable outfit. An a day to remember shirt and some dark skinny jeans.
"Here we go. just keep smiling no matter what, Blade." I murmured to myself as I walked into the kitchen.
"Blade!" Squealed Max's girlfriend Jade. As she attacked me with a hug. Oh, how I love this girl. My brother has good taste, even if I think he's a geek most of the time.
"Hey Jade!" I laughed and hugged her back. "I see you still can't get enough of me, cause you keep coming back."
"Whoa, now. Don't be hitting on my lady friend. Ya freak!" Max joked and pulled Jade to him. And started kissing her in the middle of the kitchen.
"Oh, gross. There went my appetite." I said while fake gagging. Behind me someone cleared their throat.
"Can we please act like adults? I do believe we are here to have dinner. Not to fool around in the kitchen like children." My mom sternly remarked.
Ugh, she pisses me off. "Aye aye captain." I turned around and saluted my mother and walked out of the room. I hear Max sigh and whisper "And here we go, again."

Dinner was a blur to me. I spent most of it spacing out and keeping to myself. Everything is better that way. When I was listening all it consisted of was. "Blade, when are you going to get a real job?". "Blade, when are you going to move out on your own?". "When are you going to do something with your life?". Yeah, my mother is a gem. She has to try to make all of my decisions and tell me how to live my life.
After dinner my parents didn't stay long. Which I was extremely thankful for. But, I knew that my brother was going to lecture me about being late. I start to head for the hallway.
"Lets talk." Max said before I could run off and hide in my room for the night. I didn't wanna talk.
"Look, I'm sorry for being late. I really didn't mean to." I murmured while looking down at my feet. Man do I need to paint my toe nails or something.
"I don't care about you being late. I mean about you and Mom. Be the bigger person and don't let her get to you so much."
"That's easy for you to say. She likes you. She hates me."
"She doesn't hate you. She just doesn't understand you. And she doesn't agree with your job choice."
"Well, it's not going to change. I will make a name for myself in this profession. I will get recognized for my work. And when I do, I will be able to say I didn't need her help."
"Blade, I will always support you. No matter what. But don't push Mom away just because of her views. She does love you."
"No promises Maxxy." I gave my brother a hug and said goodnight to him and Jade. And walked to my room.

While laying in bed while watching a Star Wars marathon on television, my cell phone goes off. I look and the screen reads a text from "Kyle is the best". Yeah, that's the last time I let anyone touch my phone..
:KYLE:
Aye Bee, so I've got some exciting news!
:BLADE:
And what's that, Sir?
:KYLE:
Well, ur just gonna have to come into the office tmrw to find out. But, I promise u'll love me FOREVER!
:BLADE:
Well, that's impossible. Cause I already vowed to hate you, remember? And alright, it better be good.
:KYLE:
Yea, yea. D: And I promise. It'll be life changing!
