Hold On Till May

Julia’s POV

But that accident was 5 years ago.

Vic sat down next to me on the couch. “What are you doing Jules?”
“Just trying to get a little closure by writing out the story of us.” My eyes started to water as I closed my laptop. Vic pulled me in for a hug. I buried my face into his chest and clenched onto his shirt like I was about to die.
“Accidents happen Julia. If I would do anything to change that day. I’m sure the guys would too.”
“I just wish it was me, not him,” I mumbled as I pulled away and wiped my tears dry.
“Hey, It’ll be okay.” Vic smiled at me, hoping to get something back. I continued to cry. “Hey, you know what, I’ll go get Jaime. After all, he is your man!” I tried to smile, but I just couldn’t.

“Jaime! Come cheer your girlfriend up!” Vic was shouting as he walked through the bus. Just minutes later, Jaime showed up with his cute black beanie in his hand and shoved it on my head.

“You fucker,” I muttered under my breath.
“What was that?” he asked in the most sarcastic way possible while holding his hand up to his ear.
“Nothing.” I replied with a grin. He stuck his tongue out at me. He sat down on my right side and wrapped his arm around me. I looked to my left and grabbed the pillow and threw it at his face.
“Hey!” I ignored his comment and pecked him on the lips. “Fine. You win this round Jules.”
“I always win,” I retorted.
“Well then.” He gave me a disapproving look. “Well, I think I did my job. You look much happier.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever. Mission accomplished.” I gave him a sarcastic glare.
“Come on! We’re going to be in Ventura in less than 2 hours! It’s gonna be so much fun! A meet and greet at the Journeys tent, and another wonderful performance on the Vans Warped Tour. And we’re gonna sing your favorite song.”
I grinned. “Million Dollar Houses. That’s always really fun yet really emotional to sing.”

Today was going to be fun. I could feel it.
