Don't You Ever Let Me Fall

The morning I woke up for work, I had a huge smile no matter how bad I hated waking up early. I dressed into appropriate clothes and hummed while I went downstairs instead of groaning.

Not even Kellin sitting in the kitchen bouncing Copeland on his lap bothered me. I was still so angry with him for ditching me and he was just leaving me be since I would probably snap at him so I appreciated it.

Vic gave me a surprised look seeing I woke up earlier than usual and Danielle handed me a mug of coffee. "Are you sick?" Vic questions as I smile at Danielle and hug her for the coffee. "No, why." I grin at Vic before ruffling his hair.

His eyes went wide and he checked my forehead. "What are you doing silly?" I questioned with a giggle. "This isn't the Marilyn I know." Vic says slowly and cautiously, examining me. Danielle slaps his wrist lightly.

"Miss Fuentes over here picked up herself a number last night." Danielle smiles cheesily as I grin back at her. "Number? No more Jason?" Vic questions in shock. "Honestly, this new human I'm head over heels for is helping me get over him." I smile.

"Who? What's their name?" Vic asks happily seeing I'm actually attempting to move on. "Her name is Jenna. And God Vic she is so hot. Ugh her accent is amazing and she's in a band called Tonight Alive and she actually likes me and she called me cute and ahhhh..." I trail off blushing madly.

"Jenna Mcdougall?!" Vic questions spitting his drink out all over the table and onto Kellin causing Copeland to laugh and clap her hands. "Yup." Danielle answers, cleaning the mess up and handing Kellin a wet wash cloth. "How did you score her?!" Vic asks in utter shock.

"I don't know but I did!" I exclaim happily. "Vic used to have this huge crush on her. But Jenna started to date this girl named Tay and he had no chance. It was so devastating for him." Danielle comments, giggling lightly.

"I did end up scoring this piece of hot ass though." Vic replies smacking Danielle's butt as she walks into the living room. "Gross. Anyways, I'm gonna call her later and ask if she wants to go on an official date." I smile happily. "Aw Marilyn, I'm so happy you've found someone." Vic gushes, hugging me tightly.

"Thanks Vic. Now if you'll excuse me I have kindergarteners to teach." I smile before skipping to my car.

The entire time I was at work, Jason hung around me. He kept cracking idiotic jokes and using his cute smile to cause me to overthink Jenna. After work, he helped me clean the art mess that the kids left and made even more cute jokes.

"So uh Marilyn..." He trails off rubbing his hands together nervously. "Yeah?" I ask. "Do you think maybe we can..." He sighs and leans over to me staring at my lips. Oh god. "Maybe we can try ag- " The classroom door creaked open to reveal Jenna.

She held a bouquet of roses and a smile on her face. "Am I interrupting?" She asks timidly. "One moment please?" I beg before pulling Jason into the closet. "Who is that?" Jason asks defensively. "You know I'm bi right?" I ask raising an eyebrow.

"Well duh I've known you for a long time." Jason shrugs. "Well, um I've met this girl last night and that's her. And I thought I could try everything to get you back but I realized you are a piece of scum on this planet and I'm stupid for actually loving you after you ditched me. I'm not going to try again. I like Jenna." I whisper harshly.

Jason tenses and purses his lips before nodding. "Okay." He states before leaving the closet and the classroom altogether. "Did he come out of the closet or something?" Jenna snorts with laughter. I gave her a huge smile as she handed the roses to me.

"Vic told me you'd be here. And well I wanted to know if you'd come on a date with me. I want to actually have something between us." She smiles shyly which was absolutely adorable. "Aw okay." I blush. "Great so well how does Friday night sound?" She asks.

Biting my lip, I nod and she kisses my cheek. "Cool beans." She replies making my stomach tie into knots.

I hated the affect she was giving me yet I loved it so much at the same time.
