"Hey Jaime can we talk?" Luna asked.
Jaime’s eyes got wide, thinking she might be breaking up with him. "Um... Yeah..." A knot tightened in his stomach. He sat down after he finished changing. "Um... Go on..."
"I missed my period... Again." Luna said, fidgeting with her hands.
"Again? How many have you missed?” Jaime asked, concerned.
"This is the second. I pushed it aside the first time cause it’s normal for it to be irregular when there's stress but it’s always been right on schedule. I'm getting a little worried…" Luna said.
Jaime pinched in between his eyes and scrunched his face. "Okay. Let's go get you a pregnancy test then I guess. Finish up getting dressed and I’ll take you.”
Luna got dressed and then went downstairs with Jaime to find Tony.
Tony was saying bye to Jaxin in the front hall. He kissed him goodbye and then shut the door after him.
"Hey Jaime and I are gonna run to the store, want anything?" Luna asked.
"Mmm where are you going?" Tony asked.
"Just to Rite-Aid, were out of Advil." She lied.
"No, I don't think I need anything thanks." He smiled.
"Okay! We'll be back. Are you coming Jaime??" Luna said.
"Yup!" Jaime said from the stairs, joining Luna.
Jaime drove to the store. They picked out a pregnancy test and picked up some Advil since that’s what they told Tony they were going for, and then drove back home. Jaime handed Luna the box and they went upstairs for Luna to take it.
Luna took the test and capped it, then set a timer on her phone for 5 minutes.
Jaime sat in his room waiting for Luna, nervously chewing his lip. All sorts of thoughts ran through his head, mostly about Tony’s reaction if it was positive.
Luna appeared holding the test a few minutes later, face white as a ghost.
Jaime sat still, holding his breath, and waited for her to speak.
"It's positive." She whispered.
Jaime sighed. "Okay. It's okay! We're getting married soon... My house is about to sell so we'll have so much money... It's okay... We can do this." He wrapped his arms around her.
"I'm gonna be a mom..." She whispered, starting to smile. "You're gonna be a dad... We're gonna be parents!"
Jaime smiled on her shoulder "you're excited?"
"Yeah! I love kids." Luna said.
"You're going to be the best mom ever." He smiled and kissed her lips.
Luna kissed him back but then froze. "Oh god."
"What?" He asked, concerned.
"Tony." She said.
Jaime sighed. "It'll be fine. Let's go tell him, I’ll come."
“No no no, he’s going to be so mad.” Luna said, sitting down on the bed.
Jaime sat next to her and wrapped his arm around her. “You’re going to have to tell him Lu. He’s going to find out eventually. It’s better if you don’t keep it from him.”
"Okay..." Luna stood and followed Jaime reluctantly.
Jaime went downstairs and held Luna’s hand. "Hey tone?" Jaime called.
"Mmm?" He asked from the couch.
"We need to talk to you." Jaime said, and sat on the edge of the recliner and had Luna sit on his lap.
Luna had a worried look on her face still. "Yeah... Ummm..."
Jaime squeezed her reassuringly. "Go on you have to say it."
"I'm pregnant." Luna said quietly.
Tony sat back and looked from Jaime to Luna, seeing no indication that they were lying. He sighed "For real this time?"
Luna nodded slowly, not making eye contact.
Tony shook his head and stood up. "You two are so fucking irresponsible. This isn’t even the first time this has happened. You’d think one pregnancy scare would be enough for you, but apparently not. Luna you’re so young. You haven’t even been dating a year and you’re already engaged and pregnant? How are you going to pay for a baby? You have no job. Do you even think about things like this before you go and have unprotected sex? You’re not ready to be a mother. I’m still taking care of you so what makes you think you can take care of someone else. Fucking hell." He shook his head again and walked out of the room.
Luna bit back tears, not saying anything.
Jaime rubbed her back and kissed her head.
Luna took a deep breath and leaned into Jaime.
“I’m sorry baby.” Jaime said quietly and hugged her.
Luna’s tears finally flowed, and she cried into Jaime’s shirt.
A while later Tony returned and stood near Luna. "Is this what you want Lulu?" He asked.
Luna looked up at him with teary eyes. "Yes."
He sighed. "Then I am SO happy for you. I'm so sorry I over reacted... I guess I just can't wrap my mind around the fact that you're not a teenager any more. You're an adult and you're engaged and I can't discipline you for getting pregnant. It's YOUR choice now. Yours and Jaime’s. I love you. I'm so happy for this baby!"
Luna stood up and walked over to him. Her tears spilled over as she hugged him.
He hugged her tight and started to smile. “Aw Luna, I get to be a Tio!!" He smiled wide.
"Yes!!" Luna grinned at him. "I've gotta tell the boys!"
"Yeah go call them!" Tony grinned.
Luna picked up her phone and called Vic.
Vic saw his phone ringing and answered it."Hello darlin."
"Vic!! Is Mikey with you?? Put the phone on speaker!" Luna said excitedly.
"Hi Luna yeah he's here! Hold on." He flipped the phone to speaker. "Ok it's on what's up baby girl?"
"I have some news!" Luna grinned and paused.
They waited for a second before they realized she wasn't going to continue. "And what's that babe?" Mike said.
"You're gonna be Tios!!" Luna exclaimed.
There was silence on the line as they took in the information. "Luna are you pregnant!?" Vic asked excitedly.
"Yes!!" She said.
"Oh my god Luna bear!!" Vic exclaimed.
"That's exciting! Wait... Where's Jaime did Tony kill him? Oh god.." Mike said.
“No Tony didn’t kill Jaime.” Luna laughed. “He was pissed at first but now he’s excited.”
"Well were very excited for you Luna bear. Wait we should go out to dinner tonight.” Vic suggested.
"Yeah!! We should."
“Okay, let’s go to the Italian place?” Mike suggested.
"Okay be here in 10? We can carpool."
"Sure thing! See you soon love you" Vic said.
"Love you too." Luna hung up and changed into dinner appropriate clothes, then headed downstairs after fixing her hair. “We’re going out to dinner with Vic and Mike, Jaxin can come too Tone.”
Tony nodded and texted Jaxin.
They waited for the boys to arrive, then all got into Jaime’s car when they got there. They went to the local fancy Italian restaurant.
Luna got out when they got there, one of her arms around Jaime's waist.
Jaxin had met Tony there and waited for him to come up.
Tony joined jaxin and copied Luna, wrapping his arm around Jaxin’s waist.
Jaime wrapped his arm around Luna's shoulder and kissed her head, whispering "I love you" in her ear.
Luna smiled and her cheeks flushed pink. She still got butterflies from him.
Jaxin smiled at Tony and they headed into the restaurant, and got a table.
Jaime ordered champagne for the boys and ginger ale for Luna and then they looked at their menus.
Luna smiled at Jaime. "You're already a good daddy."
Jaime smiled at Luna "I'm gonna be the best daddy I can for our little guy or girl.” He kissed her lips and smiled.
Luna kissed him back, sitting up when the champagne and her ginger ale arrived.
"Awww They're so cute." Jaxin whispered to Tony.
Tony smiled at Jaxin. "Aren't they? Oh god I can't wait to be a Tio." He beamed and rested his head on Jaxin’s shoulder.
"You're gonna be great at it." Jaxin smiled.
"I think you are too." He smiled at Jaxin and kissed his lips. "You're gonna be that baby's Tio too. Unless you wanna be Uncle Jaxin instead since you're so white." He teased.
"No I’ll be a Tio! I gotta at least attempt to fit in with all these Mexicans." Jaxin laughed.
Jaime popped the cork on the Champagne and poured it to everyone.
Luna smiled and held her glass up. "To new life."
Everyone raised their glasses and repeated Luna, then took a drink from their glasses.
The waiter came and they ordered their food and returned the menus.
Luna ordered and leaned against Mike. "Hi." She smiled at him.
"Hey babe." He smiled at Luna. "I'm so happy for you Lune." He kissed her head.
"I'm just happy." She smiled and sighed.
Mike reached around her shoulders with one arm and with the other he rubbed her belly gently, smiling.
"I can't wait to find out what's growing in there." Luna said.
"I bet it’s a little girl." Mike said. "And she's gonna be daddy's little girl." He smiled.
"I hope so." Luna smiled. "I would love a little girl."
"You're going to be a perfect mom Lune." Mike said.
"I'm kinda nervous. I've never had to take care of someone before. That was Tony's job." She admitted.
"You guys have four of us to help you... Plus mama and papa will show you how it’s done. You're in good hands Lune. You'll know what to do in no time."
Luna smiled. "Yeah, I guess you're right."

When they finished eating, they decided to go over to Vivian and Victor’s house to tell them the news. Luna got out when Jaime parked and knocked on the front door of the Fuentes household.
Jaxin stayed with Tony, a little nervous at meeting his parents for the first time.
Tony squeezed Jaxin’s hand. "They'll love you." He whispered in Jaxin’s ear, and kissed his cheek.
Vivian went to the door and opened it. "Oh, all my mijos and my mija! Victor come, the kids are all here!" She kissed them all on the head. "And who's this?" She said, smiling at Jaxin.
"Mama this is my boyfriend, Jaxin." Tony said, smiling.
"Well it's very nice to meet you Jaxin! Victor, come meet Tony's boyfriend! Tony you didn't tell me he was so cute!" Vivian smiled.
Victor came up and extended his hand. "Nice to meet you, son."
Jaxin smiled and shook his hand. "And you too, sir."
Victor hugged everyone else and then Vivian led them inside.
"Mama, Papa, Jaime and I have some news!" Luna said once they were all inside.
Vivian smiled. "And when are you due?" She laughed.
"Wow how'd you know! But I’m not sure, I haven’t had an appointment yet, but I’d say..." she took a minute to think about the timing. “Around July or August?” She smiled.
"Oh, all my kids come over together, and then you have 'news', I can put two and two together." She laughed. "But, oh I'm so excited mija! I finally get to be a nana!"
"Yes!! I'm so excited, I'm hoping it’s a little girl!" Luna said.
"Me too, mija we need more girls in this family." She kissed her head. "Are you guys hungry? I can make food?"
"We just came from dinner, ma." Vic answered.
"Well I've got cake!" She replied, and went to the kitchen.
Luna smiled and followed Vivian into the kitchen.
Jaxin stayed close to Tony, relaxed but not wanting to wander since he wasn't as familiar with the Fuentes’.
Vivian sliced up the cake and served it to everyone.
"I hope you know that little one will be spoiled out of their mind by nana and abuelo." She turned her attention to Jaxin. "Mijo I hope you like to eat because if Tony's going to bring you around more, you're going to learn very quickly that you don't leave mama and papa’s unless you eat." She laughed and handed Jaxin a plate of cake.
"Of course!" Jaxin smiled. "Thank you."
"This is so good mama! Teach me your cooking ways." Luna laughed.
"You need to spend a day with me so I can teach you to cook mija!" Vivian said.
“I will soon! I won't be able to do much else when the baby gets big in there!” Luna smiled and put her hand on her stomach.
Tony gently rubbed Jaxin’s knee and smiled. "She called you mijo... She already considers you family." He whispered and pecked Jaxin’s lips.
Jaxin blushed and smiled, and kissed Tony back.
