Luna woke up the next morning to the smell of eggs cooking downstairs. She grabbed her phone off the charger and wandered down to the kitchen. "Wow for once you're awake before me, what's up with that?"

"I felt bad for yelling at you so I wanted to make you breakfast as an apology." Tony said, wrapping Luna in a hug.

"Awww! Well good morning to you too." Luna smiled and hugged him back. "What are you feeding me? Nothing poisoned I hope?" She teased, hoisting herself up to sit on the counter.

"Eggs laced with rat poison... Bacon laced with cyanide... There might be some arsenic in the OJ..." Tony trailed off, a smirk on his face.

"Oh boy I sure am in for a treat. You're too kind." Luna laughed. "Watch out ill come back from the dead and get you."

Tony laughed. He put some eggs and bacon on a plate for Luna and pulled some toast from the toaster. "Bacon and eggs. Poison free." He said as he handed her the plate, and took one for himself before going into the living room to watch TV.

Luna plopped down next to him, setting her phone down. She got right back up when she realized she forgot salt and pepper and went back to the kitchen to get it.

Tony heard a phone start ringing from the coffee table, and glanced to see whose phone it was. He glanced back up when he realized it was Luna's, but looked right back at it when he realized it was Jaime calling, and noticed quickly that the contact picture was of Luna and Jaime kissing. "What the fuck..." Tony said out loud to himself. "LUNA WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS??" He said to his sister.

Luna jumped at his sudden yelling and dropped her fork. "What's what?!" She walked into the living room, but then froze, eyes widening when she saw him with her ringing phone in his hand.

The phone stopped ringing but Tony was staring at his sister. "This! The picture of you and my best friend kissing on your phone! What the fuck is going on here? Are you dating? How long have you been going out behind my back? What the fuck?" The phone started ringing again, Tony glanced down and saw that it was Jaime again. He slid his thumb across the answer bar and brought it to his ear, never taking his eyes off Luna. "I'll speak with you later." He said before ending the call.

Luna dropped her eyes to the floor, trying to get out of his gaze. "3 1/2 weeks." She mumbled. She was trying not to get flustered or angry because she knew she would cry and that was the last thing she wanted.

Tony took a deep breath. "You're my baby sister!! And he's my best friend!! What the fuck how did this even happen?" Tony yelled as he got up and went to the kitchen. He ate his breakfast really fast before shoving the plate in the sink and walking towards the door and grabbing the keys. "I'm going to go for a walk before I lose it" he said, slamming the door and walking away.

Luna slid down the wall and sat with her head on her knees until her phone started ringing again. She got up slowly and answered in a small voice. "Hello?"

"...Luna what happened?" Jaime said when she finally answered.

"He knows... Can you come get me? Please?" Luna bit her lip hard to fight tears. Tony was so angry it actually scared her.

Shit. "Yes of course, baby. I’ll be there in 5 minutes." Jaime said before grabbing his keys and sprinting to the car. He got to Tony and Luna's in a few minutes and his heart started racing when he saw Tony's car in the driveway, he thought he'd be gone. He cautiously knocked on the door and stepped back protectively in case Tony attacked him.

Luna answered the door, looking like a mess, but she didn't care. "Jaime!" She stepped out of the house and wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him sweetly.

Jaime wrapped his arms around Luna's waist and hugged her tight. "Lu, what happened honey?" He asked.

"I left my phone on the couch when I got up to get something, and then you called, and your contact picture is us kissing... He saw it. He started screaming at me and then he stormed out. I don't think I’ve ever been so scared of him in my life..." Luna bit her lip again, fighting to stay composed.

Jaime sighed. "It's okay baby. Everything's going to be okay he'll cool down and see that it’s all okay." Jaime squeezed her tighter and rubbed her back.

"You have GOT to be kidding me right?" Jaime heard from behind him a few minutes later. He whipped around at the sound of Tony's voice, protectively pushing Luna behind him. "Tony calm down, please." Jaime said.

"I WAS calm, I was going to apologize for my outburst but here you are with my LITTLE sister when I return. Jaime she's my baby sister. You grew up with her. What the hell are you doing? How can you be fucking my little sister?" Tony shrieked.

"Tony we haven't even gotten that far yet!!" Luna frowned. "And for god sakes I'm not a baby anymore! I'm 21 and I'm perfectly capable of making my own decisions!" She stepped around Jaime so she was standing in front of her brother. "Why can't you accept that I'm not 12 years old anymore?"

Tony sighed and pinched between his eyes while he thought. Tears came to his eyes but he blinked them away. "I'm just... It's so hard lulu. You'll always be my little girl. In my eyes you're still the little girl I had to take care of most of my teenage life. It scares me to death that you're old enough now that you don't need me. I always just want you to need me because that's what I'm good at. I'm good at protecting you. I love you and I just want you to be happy and what's best for you." He glanced at Jaime and then at Luna. "I'm sorry…" he said to the both of them. "Take care of her. She's yours to protect now." Tony said, quickly wiping a tear that escaped when he thought no one was looking. He put his hand on Luna's shoulder as he walked past her. "Do not. Break her heart. Just don't." he whispered to Jaime as he walked away to his room, wiping another tear.

Luna sat on the step and put her face in her hands. "Ahhh I made him cry, damn it." She mumbled into her palms, and took a deep breath.

Jaime sat next to Luna, wrapping his arm around her back "no sh its ok" Jaime pulled her into him and kissed her head. "It's just a lot to take in. Do you want me to go talk to him?"

"No I will in a few. Can I stay at yours tonight?" Luna sighed and rested her cheek against his chest, trying to calm herself. "I just hate making him upset."

"Mhm" Jaime mumbled into the top of Luna's head. "You know he just cares a lot. It's gotta be a big shock to find out a situation like this. Don't worry about making him upset. That kids got a short temper but he cools off fast."

Tony left his bedroom and went to the living room. The door to the house was still open so he saw Jaime holding his sister on the front step. Tony sighed and continued on to the living room. It was weird but he was good with her.

"I know, I know. It still sucks." Luna sighed and stood up. "I'll be back in a few." She wandered into the house. "H-Hey Tone?" She called softly, stuttering a bit.

"In here" tony called from the living room.

Luna walked in and sat on the other end of the couch. "I'm really sorry... I should've told you when he asked me out, but I've liked him forever and I was worried you wouldn't let it happen. And I'm sorry for anything mean I said. I didn't realize that you just were trying to protect me..." She trailed off as the tears that had been brimming in her eyes while she spoke spilled over.

Tony wrapped his sister in his arms and rocked her gently. "I over reacted. You're 21... I can't stop who you want to date and I see that now. Are you happy with him? Does he treat you okay?" Tony said, kissing her head.

Luna took a deep breath to compose herself enough to speak. "You know how I was having... trouble... this spring? Well as soon as we started going out that disappeared. I'm actually happy with him, like for real happy. He made me okay. And he treats me perfectly. I told him everything, and he was the first person besides you that didn't call me weird or crazy and then disappear on me. I love him, Tony, I really do."

Tony smiled and pulled Luna into his lap. "Well good. If he treated you like an asshole I'd have to rip his balls off. I'm glad you're happy Lulu. And anything that makes you happy is okay with me as long as you're safe and loved. Even if it’s my best friend." Tony sighed and draped his arms over her waist.

"If he treated me like an asshole I wouldn't be with him now would I?" Luna smiled and leaned back into his embrace. "I haven't even needed my medication since we got together. I've been off it for 3 weeks now."

Tony smiled again and kissed Luna on the head again.

Jaime got up and cautiously peeked his head around the corner. He hasn't heard any screaming so that must be a good sign. He saw Luna sitting on Tony's lap with his arms around her and let out the breath he was subconsciously holding. "Sooo... Are we good?" He said, stepping into the room.

"Yeah we're fine!" Luna got up off Tony's lap and went over to Jaime, kissing his cheek and wrapping her hand in his.

"Ok good." Jaime said, kissing Luna's cheek back. "Tony, I'm sorry man. You weren't supposed to find out this way. I wish I could have told you myself." Jaime said to Tony.

"It's okay. I'm over it, it's all good" Tony responded.

Jaime nodded.

"You coming?" Jaime asked Luna.

"Coming where?" Tony asked.

"Oh yeah, I'm gonna stay at Jaime's tonight... But only if it’s okay with you."

Tony cringed at her words, but she had said they didn't have sex yet and he believed her. 'But what if they want to tonight?' He thought to himself Tony shuddered at the thought but let her go anyway "you're a big girl Lulu. You make your own decisions." It pained him to metaphorically 'let the reins go' but he had to do it. She wasn’t a little girl any more.

Luna smiled. "Yay! I’ll be back tomorrow. And you can text me. Just not every 5 minutes." Her smile grew, indicating she was teasing him. "Come on himetime lets go get my stuff!"
