~That Night~
“No, I totally don’t agree. Alan is way hotter than Austin.” Zee, Katie’s merch partner, argued.
“I prefer Phil..” Katie said quite honestly. I kept quiet about my opinions of who in what band is the hottest.
“C’mon Alex! Who do you think from Of Mice??” Zee urged.
“Yeah!” Emme and Katie agreed.
“We all said who we would pick!!” The We The Kings girl said, Kelly. Her parter was one of the band members close friends. He's one of the few merch guys. Most bands have hot girls run it because it draws in business but he's very, very attractive.
"Well I didn't say but..." He laughed and looked to me. He smiled and looked to the ground.
"I don't know... They're like my brothers... But Austin I guess." I nervously laughed and started messing with the hem of my shirt.
"So Nathan! Who in what band do you think is hot?? You seem like a Jenna McDougall kinda guy.." Katie laughed. He smiled and shook his head.
"Not to shut her down or anything but I like more alternative girls... Like tatts, piercings... All that jazz.." Nathan explained.
"Well Alex here is an alternative model!" Emme explained. The girls all agreed and I laughed. I was blushing and Nathan couldn't help it that he was too. We all perked up when we heard the end of PTV's set. We got ready to sell. In the next hour or so we had sold a lot of merch and met a lot of nice fans. Most of which knew me about me and tried talking about Tony..
"Finally done!!" Katie said flailing her arms and jumping on the counter. The band member started to come out and I smiled slightly as Mike and I made eye contact. I quickly looked back to the conversation at hand.
"Jeremy!! How'd it go babe?!" Katie said as she saw him come over. He smiled and picked her up off the counter.
"Everything is all packed up. It went great! Let's hit the road!” They joined hands and he nuzzled his face into her neck. She was giggling and they headed for the exit. Zee trailed with the rest of ADTR.
“Hey!” Nathan lightly put his hand on my shoulder as I was turning to walk away. I jumped then looked at him, quickly catching a glimpse of Mike and Tony watching me. “Uh, I haven’t really talked to you at all today. I’m Nathan… Nathan Briggs.” He smiled, and so did I. I looked to the ground quick. He gave me a piece of paper then ran to catch up to Kelly. I quickly jammed the paper into my back pocket as Emme came over to me to ask about ‘Nathan the merch dude’.
“Hello ladies!” Jaime smiled at us. He kissed my cheek then Emme’s.
“I’m so ready to just relax.. It has been a long day.. I need to talk to Mel about Connor’s service..” I sighed and continued walking towards the busses.
—Later That Night—
I pulled my shirt off and searched through my bags for my clean one. I found a tank, that I had gotten to keep from a shoot a while back, and I threw it on. Unclasping my bra under it, I tossed the bra into my bag and looked for shorts. Once I found them I slid off my ripped jeans and quickly slipped into the soft shorts.
Getting ready for bed isn’t a difficult task.. The difficult part about getting ready for bed is thinking about someone, someone you want to be in the bed with. Cradling you for the whole night, keeping you safe, warm, and comfortable in the safe haven of your sheets. And when we can’t have that, we get sad or scared. I get scared. I just want him to keep me safe, I’m so confused. I want one and the other but I can’t keep my mind off of the other. I don't know one that well but i know the others very well... I need to sleep, get lost in the land of dreams.
I crawled into my bunk and shut the curtain.. I was falling asleep just standing there. As soon as I got under the covers and closed my eyes, I was in lala land.
