The Last Punch

As the plane hit the runway Mel jolted awake. She had fallen asleep right after we got on in Michigan. I had slept for an hour, but had woken up due to a dream about Tony. I laughed and looked at her.
“Good sleep?” I asked handing her phone to her. She giggled and nodded.
“I had the weirdest dream about you and Tony…” She said shaking her head. She opened her phone and frowned. “Is it seriously 11 in the morning here?!” I laughed at her anguish.
“Yeah, but it’s the next day. You shouldn’t be tired!” I laughed. “You slept the whole way.. I couldn’t sleep after another fricken Tony dream.” I coughed and undid the seatbelt, as we were instructed at the beginning of the flight. You know, the annoying stewardesses on the plane that tell you how to do everything, including buckling and unbuckling seatbelts.
“You needa get over him, this isn’t healthy. Our first shoot is tomorrow-- today… wait.” She went back to her phone to look at her calendar. “So we look at clothes today, shoot tomorrow. Stay overnight, leave early morning, Rome, same deal. Leave early morning for my home and a week there. I haven’t seen Mum and Dad and forever..” Mel had longing in her eyes and I snapped in front of her face.
“Let’s get off this tin can.” I said as we got up and got our carryons.

“This hotel is sweet..” Mel said collapsing onto a bed. The company had paid for our tickets and our hotels in Rome and Paris. All expenses paid in those two locations too. Flight to London was paid by Adrien and Shep, and we were staying in their large townhouse.
“We need to go to the studio to look at the clothes for the shoot tomorrow!” I said walking to the door.
“Isn’t it a nude shoot though?” Mel asked as she rolled off of the bed and onto the plush carpeted floor. I rolled my eyes and giggled.
“Not fully! We will have bottoms. We have been named and requested by the owner of a huge lingerie company to help their company reach more people…” I said as the people at SuicideGirls had told us. I laughed and Mel crawled over to me.
“You bum..” She slowly made her way to a standing position and looked me in the eyes. “What did he mean by ‘reach more people’?” She asked as if she was offended.
“Calm down Hun. It’s not like we haven’t heard it before.” I laughed and opened the door and Mel followed me out.
“Let’s get drinks after! Maybe you’ll find a hot French guy! You gotta move on!!” Mel said as we headed for the studio.
Do I need to move on? I may need to move on from Tony… but what about Danny, Nathan, Ahren and other sweet guys I had been with before… I need time to think straight….
