Everybody knew that we had too much fun.

My alarm woke me up at the usual time of 6:00am. It was a Monday morning and boy, was I feeling the sleep deprivation slapping me in the face. I wandered into the bathroom, still half asleep as I fumbled with the shower to get the right temperature. As you can tell, I'm not the kind of person to have 4 minute showers. Hell, it takes me longer than 4 minutes to make it nice and warm. However, on this lovely day, it occured to me that I would need to do homework before my first class meaning that I didn't have long to shower. The rest of my morning in the house involved a lot of rushing about, drinking coffee with far too much sugar in at and munching cold toast because I forgot I made it.

My boyfriend, Derek was supposed to pick me up 20 minutes ago but I guess he forgot...as usual. It was almost 8:37 before I made it to school, 23 minutes before my homework is supposed to be handed in. I rushed in and walked up to the usual spot me and my friends sit at.
"Morning." I mumbled as I sat down and pulled my chemistry books out.
"You're late in Cas." Tony pointed out. He was a tall, lanky dude that loved to play guitar and had an obsession with turtles. Like a brother to me.
"Well-"
"Derek 'forgot again' didn't he?..." Kellin interrupted before I had time to answer. I just nodded softly before getting on with the homework. "I don't know why you stay with him."
"Yeah sorry Cas. End it with him, seriously." Oli stated. Although I hated to admit it, they were right but I couldn't end it with him because I'm still in love with him.
"He's just busy all the time that's all."
I heard a few of them sigh as I continued with work.


Time flew in and it was first period, chemistry class. My seat was at the back in the corner but today as I strolled into class, I noticed someone was sitting in it. The boy was tall by the looks of it but he was attractive.
"Hey, sorry you're in my seat." I spoke softly as he looked up, a little startled.
"Oh, shit sorry." He jumped up and was about to start moving his stuff when I stopped him.
"Ahaha it's alright, I'll sit in the next one. You're the new kid huh?" I asked as he sat back down again and turned to face me as I sat down next to him.
"Yeah actually, I'm James. James Cassells." His smile was gorgeous and he had a thick English accent. Maybe a Yorkshire accent?
"Nice to meet you. I'm Acacia by the way." I began to take my chemistry books out as the rest of the class began to walk in. I was spotted by my friends Jack and Alex as they walked over with the biggest goofy faces.
"Greeny!" Jack skipped over to my desk.
"Sup Greeners." Alex strolled over, trying to look cool in front of James.
"Boys. This is James. He's new. James, these two idiots are Jack and Alex."
"Hey-" Alex couldn't even finish his sentenced before the teacher slammed a book down on the desk.
"Mr Gaskarth and Mr Barakat, I suggest if you want to pass this class you sit your butts down and open your books."
"See you later, I guess." They both turned and sat down at their desks as the teacher started the lesson.

Before I knew it the bell had rang and people were packing up. James nudged me out of my daydream.
"Oh class is over."
"Yeah haha" He chuckled lightly.
"Uh do you have anyone to sit with at lunch?"
He looked down and blushed slightly before answering shyly. "....No."
"Well you could hang with us, I mean, you seem like really cool guy."
"Really? That'd be great, thanks."
"Sure, no bother. I'll come find you after 4th period."

And that was that. I'm sure the guys would love him, he seemed like such a chill dude. The rest of the day I struggled to keep my eyes open and walked about like a zombie to each class.

Before I knew it, it was the end of 4th period and I had to go find James. I wandered about for about 5 minutes before I found him standing at the back entrance of the school.

"James!" He looked up and smiled before walking towards me.
"Hey Acacia." Oh my god he had the most beautiful smile. "Thanks again by the way, I really appreciate you doing this."
"It's no bother honestly." I said looking at him as we walked through the lunch hall to get to our table at the very back where the large glass walls were.
"ACACIA!" I jumped a lil bit as Jack pulled me into a hug.
"JACKYBOY!" I screamed back. I pulled away realising that James was standing awkwardly behind me.
"Guys, this is James Cassells."
A chorus of "Hi. Hi James. Sup dude."
"James, this is Jack, Alex, Oli, Kellin, Tony, Vic, Mike, Jaime. My dorks."
"Nice to meet you all." He said shyly before we took a seat.
"So James, what kind of music do you like?" Oli asked.
"Uh rock I guess, I like quite a lot of metal bands. Pop punk bands are a favourite as well."
"That's awesome. We have the same kinda music taste."
"Do you play any instruments?" Tony asked.
"Yeah actually, I play the drums."
"Really? That's dope dude. Mike over here plays drums as well."
"Sweet. Do any of you play instruments?"
"All of us play instruments apart from Kellin. He just sings. Lil bitch." Jaime chuckled.
The conversation continued like that until the end of lunch and then the day flew by and it was the end of school. I walked to the car park holding my books in my arms when it started to rain softly. I fiddled with my keys and got into the car before driving off the school grounds. I was about 10 minutes away from my house when I spotted a guy walking in the rain. I got closer and realised it was James from my Chem class. I rolled my window down and slowed the car down.

"James?" He turned and smiled. "You need a ride? You're gonna get hypothermia."
