The World Tour

Don't Try to Fight the Storm

Vic’s P.O.V

How could I be so damn stupid? My whole plan has backfired and now I’ve lost all my chances to get Lynn back. She’s just ran back into the arms of her dumbass boyfriend. And it’s all. My. Fault! Ugh why do I even bother anymore? It’s pretty evident that she isn’t going to be with me and I made her life pretty damn miserable by sticking with Jenna. I should’ve known better than this.

“Vic?” I looked up to see my brother standing in front of me, arms folded across his chest and a confused look upon his face.

“Mhm?” I replied, putting as little effort into it as possible. I really don’t wanna talk to anyone right now, wallowing in my own self pity seems much more fun!

“Why is Lynn with her ex-boyfriend?” Mike questioned me, as if he honestly thinks I’m going to know the answer to that. I gave him a confused look, he should know way better than that.

“Why on earth would I know?” I rolled my eyes and looked back at the telelvision behind my annoying brother.

“Stop being so damn moody, you had your chance and you totally fucking blew it and now we all have to deal with your dumb mistake” Mike huffed and walked off into the bunk area. Mike is right, it is my fault but no matter how much you accept your own doings, you will still hate what you missed out on. I hate that I’ve messed up on the chance of being with Lynn again.

“Fuck you Mike” I mumbled to myself. At the end of the day now I have to live with the stupid mistake and watch her with someone who clearly has no good intentions when it comes to her. I don’t think she remembers half the things he said to her that night he showed up on the bus unexpected.

I pushed myself up off the couch and found my way to the liquor cupboard on the bus. No one cares about it anyway so they won’t miss anything. The booze in the cupboard are meant for parties but I need to just feel slightly better about my life. The tequila looked at me so I picked that and a cup. The thing about being in a band where you party a lot you start to become immune to some of the effects of alcohol. For me, tequila was like water.

My cup was filled when Tony walked in, he looked at me with confusion then pulled a cup out of the cupboard. “Mind if I join you?” He asked softly. I looked at him and nodded, pouring the remains of the tequila into his cup.

“Tell me your woes Perry” I said sipping my alcohol.

“I miss Erin. I ain’t good at this long distance thing while on tour anymore. I wish she’d just come with us sometime” He sighed. Hearing his relationship problems made me feel sad, I wish I could have those issues. Instead I have a girlfriend I can’t stand and the love of my life is on another bus with her annoying ex-boyfriend.

“Maybe you should speak to her about it. I don’t know she has came out for some shows before so she probably just needs convincing. I know she loves you so don’t worry about it” I told him. He nodded in understanding, taking in my advice.

“Thanks man, you always know how to make me feel better” He nodded at me and took a drink of his booze filled cup.

“No worries at all my friend” I told him, patting him on the arm.

“Now are we gonna talk about why you need this cup of tequila?” He asked me with a concerned look.

“I think you know” I laughed nervously. He nodded and took another drink, making a face at the burning sensation that I had grown to love. “I made a huge mistake with her and now I’m paying for it” I mumbled, feeling so sorry for myself.

“You know she loves you, she’s told you and that isn’t something that people find easy to do. You just have to show her you love her back” He explained. “Firstly you need to get rid of Jenna, she’s the main hold back when it comes to you and Lynn; it’s just obvious that you’re in love with Lynn anyway. Then you have to prove you love her, not just saying it. I know you can do this!” He encouraged me. I looked at the cup with confidence and then downed the pint of booze in one go.

“Let’s do this” I shook the feeling off and walked into the bunk area. “Jenna!” I called out. She opened the curtain of our bunk and looked at me.

“What?” She asked bitterly.

“We need to chat” She climbed out of the bunk and I led her outside the bus. She stood in front of me with a confused look on her face.

“What is it Vic?” She rolled her eyes. Why am I even with her?

“I think this” I said pointing between us, “Has run it’s course y’know” I said flatly.

“Are you serious?” She laughed at me.

“You know I don’t find this funny” I spat at her. She looked at me with serious eyes, searching for me for the truth. “I think you know this yourself, please don’t make this difficult” I tried to be calm.

“How can I just accept this? I thought we were actually going to try and make this work!” She practically screamed at me.

“It was never going to work out though, you know that fine well” I told her softly. She looked at me with such venom.

“It’s because of her isn’t it?” She shook her head. I tried to tell her no but she ran towards Lynn’s bus. She pounded on the door. “Open this bus up, Lynn get out here now!” Jenna screamed as she slammed her hands off the side of the bus.

The door opened and Tyler sauntered out. “What the fuck are you doing crazy lady?” He looked Jenna up and down.

“Is Lynn in there?” Jenna ignored Tylers comment. I walked over to them and nodded at him.

“Why would I tell you?” He asked, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it up. “You’re crazy and totally out to get her so I ain’t gonna grant you access to ruining her night” Tyler said blowing smoke out of his mouth.

“Vic, why do you have to be friends with such assholes?” Jenna turned to me with fury.

“Hey we’re not a couple anymore so you can try and insult my friends all you want, it isn’t going to make a difference to me” I shrugged at her. Lynn appeared at the door of the bus.

“What the fuck is all this noise about, some of us are trying to sleep” She said softly, her hair was wavy and hung over her shoulders messily. Her eyes were heavy from sleep and her body was clad in just a long shirt.

“You’re a whore for stealing my fucking boyfriend, that’s what’s up!” Jenna shouted at Lynn. Lynn looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

“Seriously? Wow how pathetic” She rolled her eyes at Jenna, who just tried to push past Tyler, whom didn’t let her past.

“Out of my way Carter” She mumbled, anger evident in her tone.

“No, leave my friends alone” He said back to her with a smirk, holding his cigarette in his free hand. He took one last draw of it and looked at me. “Coming for a drink Vic?” He looked at me. I looked at Lynn then Jenna.

“Yes I am” I said smugly, walking past Jenna. I turned back for a split second and looked at her. “When I get back on my bus I expect you and all your shit to be gone, don’t contact me ever again” I walked onto the bus and the door slid shut behind me.

Lynn’s P.O.V

I walked back into the lounge area where I had been sitting with Tyler and Michael. Vic sat down with us and everything seemed chilled. “So you finally got rid of her?” I heard Michael speak up.

“Finally” Vic mumbled, picking up a can of beer and opening it up.

“Thank God, she was so damn annoying” Michael laughed.

My phone began vibrating indicating I had a text. I opened it up and noticed it was from Alan.
- Come to bed.

I smiled a little at the text and excused myself. My legs led me to my bunk and I climbed in where Alan was currently lying. “Hey” He whispered once I got in and snuggled up to him. “What was all that about?” He questioned.

“Vic’s girlfriend got really damn annoying so he chucked her, she thinks it’s somehow my fault though? Not my fault that her boyfriend doesn’t want her anymore. She is an idiot anyway, oh well” I explained to him, leaving the parts out about Vic wanting me.

“Why do you care what happens with Vic’s relationship though?” He asked casually, I looked up at him from my pillow and bit my lip.

“I don’t, I’m just saying it effects us all if she’s with us on this tour” I told him.

“Lynn I do want you to stay away from him okay, he is bad news!” He told me sternly. I got a bad feeling in my gut when he spoke about Vic.

“Why do you hate Vic?” I asked softly.

“He spoke to me like shit the night we broke up, I didn’t appreciate it” He said coldly. “And if he ever crosses me again, it will be the last thing he ever does so, he better stay away” He mumbled, turning away and going to sleep.

The idea that Alan would ever do anything to Vic makes me feel disgusting, but I had to get over Vic. And Alan made me feel like my only option was to get back together with him. He made that very clear.

FLASHBACK

I walked alone, walking around the venue floor as if it were brand new to me. Like I’ve never done this before. The show tomorrow night was going to be amazing, I could feel it. Despite the bad day I had, being knocked out by that bitch Jenna, I had a great feeling. I walked into the backstage area and studied the room. But it kinda felt like someone was watching me.

I shook off the feeling and left the venue and swiftly walked back to my bus. As I reached the bus I felt someone push me against the bus. I turned around and was shocked to see it was Alan. Worry covered my face and I stood shocked. “W-what are you doing here?” I asked, my voice trembling.

“To be with you silly” He told me, running his hand down my cheek.

I looked away with fear. “We broke up Alan” I said trying to be strong. He pulled me off the bus and smiled down at me.

“Look, I know you didn’t mean that and your friend Vic didn’t mean it either. We can all be friends here, if I can’t be with you then no one can Lynn” I looked behind him and noticed Vic getting off his bus.

“Vic just got off his bus” I whispered.

“Then put on a show for him, it’s that or I go and rip his throat out” He said harshly. I laughed as convincingly as possible. Alan took that as an agreement. He looked in and kissed me and then we walked on the bus together. I couldn’t let anything happen to Vic, so this is the way it has to be.

END OF FLASHBACK

I tossed in my bunk, scared of what to do next. Vic was going to get hurt if he even tried to be with me, and I just couldn’t let it happen. Plus Alan was a crazy dude, maybe Vic was right about him though... he is going to end up killing me or something.
