Vic‘s P.O.V

“What d’you expect from me? It’s not my fault you’ll never be happy. Just cause you’re right doesn’t mean I’m wrong. Our days were numbered and we knew it all along” I sung from the top of my lungs. “My dad was right, we will never get along! So I’m done cause this could never be the sameeeee” I felt weightless. “I can’t believe you got the best of me, I can’t believe I trusted every word you said” My head felt like it was going to fall off my shoulders, feeling so free never felt so amazing. “This is the last time you’ll ever murder me” I belted out. I was so out of time and everything was becoming a hazed blur.

“Whoa, I think you’ve drunk too much” A voice laughed from beside me. I turned to capture who it was.

“I can’t believe you got the best of meeeee!” I screamed in Tony’s face. He didn’t understand the way I’m feeling right now, everything is messed up. “What a mess you’ve made” I mumbled along.

“Vic what’s wrong?” I looked up at my best friend and shook my head. I don’t know what to say.

“Why did she have to come back into our lives?” I said angrily. “She ripped me apart, she ruined me. I fell in love with her and she abanonded me so quickly and now she just walks back into our lives like nothing happened? Tony why?!” I ranted. “It’s so unfair. I’m not okay with this, she has to go back home. I can’t have her near me” I was talking so much shit but my brain and heart weren’t computing the information well. I don’t really want her gone but my whole life has been flipped upside down.

“Vic please just go back to the bus and go to sleep” Tony told me. I shook my head no, I couldn’t just sleep. My mind was running a million miles a minute.

She’s sitting with Tyler right now, laughing away and drinking. Having a nice time and I’m over here drunk out of my mind and wondering why I fucked up so badly. It’s literally like I pressed stop of the clock with her, she’s back and that’s bad news for me. Tony walked away and left me to my own devices. Why is Tyler so close with her? Does he like her? Do they know each other? “Vic, where have you been?” My girlfriend approached me.

“Here the whole time” I shrugged. The sudden disinterest in her sickens me, I’m such a horrible person. She deserves better than this, again another reason why Lynn should just go home. She’s going to ruin so much for me. Maybe I’m being selfish here but I have so much to lose.

“Vic, you’re drunk. We should go back to the bus” Jenna sighed, hands on her hips as if she was disappointed in me. I don’t need this, I’m a grown man.

“Look, go back to the bus if you want but I’m gonna stay here and enjoy the beginning of this tour with some friends” I explained to her, looking over towards Lynn and Tyler. She followed my gaze over to them.

“Who is she?” Jenna asked, unsure of what to make of Lynn.

“I went to school with her” I mumbled.

“Isn’t that odd that she’s in a band too and supporting your band on a tour. Didn’t you know she was going to be here?” Jenna was faking interest I bet. Probably beginning to feel jealous, she has nothing to worry about.

“No, she was in her band when in school but they didn’t really do anything until recently. It’s nice that she is in a band though, she is really talented” I told her, she nodded slowly.

“That’s cool. She seems really into Tyler, maybe we should fix that up” Jenna leaned into me. I wrapped my arm around her lazily.

“I don’t know, whatever” I took another gulp of my drink. The club was booming and I just wanted to lose myself in everything.

“I’m gonna go back to the bus, see you there” Jenna kissed my cheek. Lynn looked over and smiled at me. It made me feel sick, but in a good way. “I love you” Jenna said and then walked off.

I honestly don’t know what to do anymore. My legs directed me over towards Lynn and Tyler, unsure of how this would work out but it’s happening. “Hey guys” I shouted over the music. They looked at me and smiled.

“What’s up man” Tyler grinned at me, he gave me a half hug.

“Ah I’m good, feeling a little out of it but I haven’t drank in so long” I laughed. My spirit was lifted already, maybe it’s not that bad being in her presence.

Fall Out Boy - Irresistible began playing, Lynn’s eyes lit up. “Oh my God, this song is amazing” She was smiling so much, it was nice. “And I love the way you hurt me baby” She grabbed our hands and pulled us to the dancefloor.

“Wait I don’t dance” I laughed. She ignored my comment and we were dancing before we knew it. She didn’t let go of my hand though.

“And I love the way you hurt me, it’s irresistible. I love the way, I love the way, I love the way you hurt me baby” She sung loudly, a huge grin on her face. It made me miss everything about her.

She let go of my hand to fix her hair, Tyler held onto her other hand. When she fixed her hair she grabbed my hand again, making me feel kinda good. The song ended and Uptown Funk came on, it was odd. This club plays a strange mix of music. “This song is excellent” Tyler nodded.

“I’m too hot, hot damn” Lynn sung, to be fair; her moves were good. She did look hot. “Call the police and a fireman” She looked over at me and her face broke out in a huge grin, she began laughing and stopped dancing. She walked away, so I did the one thing I’m really good at; I followed her.

She walked out of the club and into the street. I don’t understand why I followed her but here I am. She turned to face me with confusion on her face. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to be weird” I apologised.

“No, don’t apologise it’s fine. Just got a bit crowded in there” She said softly, looking at her phone. She was wearing a long cut off shirt and knee high socks. It was a nice outfit, nothing too extravagent but it was nice. Her nose is now pierced and she looks a lot more mature.

“Look Lynn...” I began. She looked up and waited for me to finish. “I don’t want this tour to be weird or awkward for anyone and your band deserve this more than any other band on this tour, so I wanna apologise for everything that happened between us and my stupid ideas. I’m not a kid anymore” I tried to sound as sincere as possible while intoxicated.

“It’s okay. I wasn’t angry after I slept on it. Yes it was shitty but life goes on and my life changed the moment I moved to LA. Plus Taylor has no hard feelings about it, I met up with her about a year ago actually. She’s married and has a baby now, it’s insane but that whole situation changed her life. She grew up and fixed everything wrong with her life. She thanked us actually. Life’s funny huh” She laughed, her laugh is the most magical sound in the world right now.

“Wow, that’s great” I didn’t care about Taylor, the fact I turned Lynn so against her and as soon as she had the chance she fixed it shows how terrible I am.

The side door opened and Jaime came tumbling out. “Hey guys, going back to the bus and play drinking games?” He could barely put the sentence together but we agreed.

The walk back to the bus was about ten minutes long. Everyone was in tow, leaving me and Lynn leading. “So you never knew we made it?” I asked, shocked that Lynn never heard of us before the tour.

“No sorry, I got so out of touch with music for awhile but I did know Pierce the Veil. You guys are kinda hard to avoid, I just didn’t know it was you guys. You’re all so grown up and different” She pointed out. She is right, we’re all so different.

“It’s odd, I never once thought we’d make it to here” I laughed. “Life is funny” I looked at her as we walked, referring to her comment ten minutes ago.

We made it back to our bus. “Never have I ever” Jaime jumped onto the couch. I rolled my eyes and got a few bottles of beer. I handed them out as we all sat on the couches. Tyler, Kellin and I sat on one couch; Lynn, Tony and Jaime on the other. Mike just hovered around the room. “Okay I’ll go first” Jaime piped up. “Never have I ever been caught watching porn” Jaime said proudly. Pretty much all of us except Lynn took a drink.

“Never have I ever wore a dress, other than Halloween” Tyler laughed. Jaime and Mike took a drink, making everyone look at them oddly.

“We got really drunk once and thought, your ex girlfriend had some really good dresses” Jaime shrugged looking at me.

“Which girlfriend?” I raised an eyebrow.

“Lauren” They said in unision.

“That’s fine, no one cares then” I laughed.

“Never have I ever had sex with someone I wasn’t dating” Kellin said sheepishly. All of us took a drink.

“Oh Kellin you gentleman” I winked at him.

“Okay never have I ever gotten so drunk I slept with someone and didn’t remember it” Lynn said with a huge smile. Pretty much all of us took a drink except her and Kellin. “Well then” She laughed.

“Never have I ever had sex with someone on this bus” Mike said. I took a drink, Lynn did also then suddenly Tony did. Everyone looked at Lynn with confusion and curiosity.

“What?” Jaime said bluntly. Lynn looked at Tony and then laughed.

“I guess you didn’t tell them” Her faced turned red and she hid her face in her free hand. I could feel my heart jump into my mouth.

“You two had sex!?” Mike said loudly. Tony looked away awkwardly.

“Hey look, pizza” He jumped up and over to the pizza on the counter.

“Now we can’t unveil such information without an explaination” Jaime got all sassy with Lynn.

Lynn looked up and laughed a little. “I had sex with Tony after prom. Shit happened and we both kinda needed it and it’s not really a big deal. It was eight years ago and we’re both mature adults. That’s all” She laughed nervously. Tony looked over, nodding while eating a slice of pizza.

“Wow, fair enough” Mike shrugged it off.

“Well, this has been fun but I’m kinda tired so I’m gonna go to my bus” Lynn said quickly and stood up. She left the bus and I jumped up and followed her.

“Hey Lynn wait up” I called after her. She stopped, turned to me and had a look of guilt on her face.

“Hey Vic” She tried to act casual.

“You had sex with my best friend while we were still together?” I asked, confusion running through me.

“No I had sex with my friend while we were split up. I apologise that it wasn’t good timing and things were screwed up, I was sad. I’m not sorry that I did it though. I needed it and so did he” She explained. It didn’t stop from hurting though.

“Right, cause that makes it hurt less” I shook my head, feeling disgusting.

“Sorry but that was eight years ago, get over it. You preached tonight that you were sorry and that you are over it all. Now this?” She folded her arms across her chest.

“Yeah I take it all back, that was before I found out that you slept with my best friend. Bye” I turned quickly and went back onto my own bus. Anger was evidently my new best friend now that Lynn Gunnulfsen is back.
