The World Tour

Vic's P.O.V

With only one week left of the American leg of the world tour, things were beginning to get a little stressful. I've been trying to tell myself that's why Lynn has been so distant towards me but as time goes on I fear it's something else. It's been like this for about a week now. She doesn't speak to me, when she does its half heartedly and I've noticed her drinking more. I don't understand the sudden change in her but I need to know. The only person I can think of who could possibly know what's wrong is Brian.

I knocked on the PVRIS and Issues tour bus and waited for around a minute before I got a reply. The door opened and Alex stood, a goofy grin on his face. "Oh hey Vic, what's up?" He asked, stepping aside to let me in. I nodded to thank him for letting me in.

"Is Brian around?" I asked. Alex nodded towards the bunk area. The thing is Lynn could be in there so I can't speak to him there. I need to get him to leave the bus with me. "Thanks." I nodded to Alex again, who just smiled in return.

I walked into the bunk area. "Brian?" I called out, after about two seconds his head popped out his bunk.

"You called?" He laughed, getting out of his bunk.

"I need to talk to you about some bass stuff." I lied on the spot. He raised an eyebrow and then nodded and followed me out of he bunk area and off the bus.

"So what's the deal, you do have a bassist in your band." He joked around.

"Look I lied, I'm here to speak to you about Lynn but I didn't wanna make it obvious." I said quickly. Brian nodded and then looked away.

"I knew this would happen sooner or later." He sighed, running a hand through his hair.

"What do you mean?" I squinted my eyes at him, confused.

"She's been different lately." He said softly. I nodded, knowing exactly what he was saying. "I don't know how much you know about Lynn's personal life but she has a sister." Brian told me.

"I didn't know that." I frowned.

"Not many people do, she's ten years older than Lynn and moved away when she was 16. Or ran away should I say." Brian explained.

"So what's that got to do with Lynn?" I asked, confused even more now.

"Well, Lynn's sister Beth, ran away when she was 16 and got into a really bad situation. She began addicted to heroine and well that's how she spent most of her life really. Until she got pregnant and had a baby, she became clean and got her life on track, that was around the time you and Lynn got together actually or not too long after we moved to LA, I can't remember." Brian told me, I could see frustration on his face as he tried to remember the details.

"Then what happened?" I asked, even more curious now.

"When her daughter was 3 years old, Beth was diagnosed with lung cancer. She went through all the treatment and stuff and got the all clear. Everything was just dandy. About a week ago Lynn's mom called her and dropped the bombshell that Beth's tumour has grown back and it's too far along to do anything about it. Basically it's terminal and it's really hitting Lynn hard." Brian sighed, running his hands over his face.

"So that's why she's been so down recently." I closed my eyes and groaned. "Here I thought it was my fault and that I done something, selfishly but in actual fact she's going through something really tough." I let out a long and shaky breath.

"I don't know what you can really do at this point. Just try to be patient with her." Brian told me, putting his hand on my shoulder. I looked at him and gave him a weak smile.

"Thank you for telling me man." I gave him a quick hug and then we ventured back onto the bus, me with a new mindset. Cheer Lynn up.
