Darling, You'll Be Okay..

-Mike-

-Mike-
“Walk up in the club like what up, I gotta big cock!” I crowed.
Jenna rolled her eyes and snorted, “I believe if anyone can attest to falseness of that statement, it’s me.”
“She burned you!” Jaime cried.
“Hey, Hey! You’ve never complained before!” I laughed.
She smiled, “Just because I haven’t complained, doesn’t mean I have no complaints.”
I stared her down, in her skin-tight black dress, and her matching black heels, “We’ll see how displeased you are tonight when I get you home.”
She grinned and kissed me, “You’re a pig.”
“Ooh, oink oink.” I smiled.

She broke away from the group and ordered herself a drink.
She stood at the bar, talking to the bartender, while five or so men gaped at her ass.
One of them stuck out his hand to grab it, when I made a break for it.
“Bad idea.”
“Who are you, her husband?” He sneered.
“Soon-to-be. Now back the hell off.” I seethed.
The guy took a step back, hands up, “Okay, fine. I’ll be seeing your fine ass later, honey.”
Jenna stood up, walked over to him, and without a word, smiled and threw her drink in his face, “That’s no way to speak to a lady. Certainly not one who has mothered children.”
“A M.I.L.F? I like!!” The guy grinned.
Jenna handed me her purse, tossed her glass to the bartender, balled a fist and punched him square in the face, “Learn some respect, you sniveling pig, or you’ll get worse than a black eye.”
The guy jumped up and ran away.

“You hit like a bitch.” I teased, laughing.
She turned around, “Don’t make me prove you wrong, pal.”
I kissed her, “I love it when you talk dirty to me.”
“You lied to that guy.”
“How so?”
“You don’t have kids.”
She shrugged, “I had to say something to run him off. Too bad it didn’t work.”
I laughed, “You tried.”

“Where’d you guys get off to?” Vic asked.
“Jenna almost got groped by some sick-o. I got rid of him.” I grinned.
Jenna laughed, “Ha! You mean I got rid of him. I tried talking some sense into the bastard, and he kept on, so I blacked his eye.”
“Way to keep’em in line Jenna.” Vic high-fived her.

“Let’s dance. This is boring.” Jenna dragged me by my hand to the dancefloor.
“Fair warning, you start dancing on anyone else, and I’ll blacken your eye.” She said.
“No worries. You’re the hottest chick here, and you’re all mine.” I whispered.
She smiled.

The night wore on, with more dancing, and drinks.
About three in the morning, we dragged ourselves back to the hotel, where Jenna and I climbed in bed, and passed out.

The next day, we didn’t have a show, but we had a radio appearance.
When Vic got us up, we were both so hung over.
“Well, did you guys bone last night?” Jaime asked.
Jenna shrugged, “We had a short episode on the bathroom sink at the club, but that’s all.”
“I don’t remember that.” I scratched my head.
“You wouldn’t. You were so drunk by then, I’m surprised you were still functioning.”
She changed out of her pajamas, and pulled up her hair.
“Well, was it at least good sex? Or did you have complaints.” I smirked.
She pulled up her shorts to show bruises across the top of her thighs, “What do you think?”
I cringed, “I did that?”
“You’re a little bit rough after you’ve had a few. It’s okay though, I liked it.”
“Well, if you enjoyed yourself so much, how about a repeat tonight?”
She grinned, “Fine, but we’re not breaking anymore mirrors.”
“We broke a mirror?” I whispered.
She nodded and turned around, lifting her shirt to show a variety of small cuts and gashes.
“We had to leave soon after, but it was a fun ride, just for the sake of my aching back, no more breaking mirrors.”
I nodded, “Got it.”
She put her shoes on, “Come on, you’re going to be late.”
I tossed my shoes on, and grabbed my phone, hastily following Jenna out the door.

“Morning Jen, how’s your back?” Vic asked.
“Sore, but I’ll live.”
“Good to hear. I was worried about you.”
“I’m fine.”
“Great.”
“What time is the appearance?”
“Nine.”
“Do we have time to grab coffee? I need a hangover cure.” I whined.
“Settle, settle, Mike. we’ll grab coffee.” Jenna whispered, kissing my cheek.

I kept my sunglasses on, and coffee in hand during the interview, only speaking when spoken to, and trying to avoid letting anyone know I was hung over.
“We had a great time last night. Hell, Mike broke a mirror in the bathroom at the club, in the midst of giving his girlfriend the ride of her life.” Jaime whispered.
I looked up at him, “Fiancee, thank you. And it was a great ride.” I smiled.
They all laughed, and I looked to my left, where Jenna was shaking her head with a smile on her face.
“Mike, you’re engaged?! The ecstatic radio host asked.
I nodded, “Yes, as of a couple of days ago, to my beautiful Jenna.” I turned and waved at her.
She smiled and waved back.
“Well, I hadn’t any idea you were even seeing anyone.”
“Jenna and I have been together for going on three years now. It only seemed suiting to get married.”
“Well congratulations.”
“Thank you. Now, ignoring the fact that I’m hungover, how’s everyone doing today?”

After the interview, Jenna hugged me, “Great job announcing our engagement honey. And thank you Jaime for airing out our sex life for the whole tri-city area to know.”
Jaime shrugged, “They asked how we were enjoying the city.”
Jenna rolled her eyes, “Bite it, Jaime.”
He grinned evilly, “Mark the place.”
I shoved him, “That’s my bride you’re talking to, bub. Back off.”
He backed up, “Sorry.”
“You know babe, I still don’t have a ring to show for this engagement.”
I smiled, “Well we should probably take care ot that, shouldn’t we?”
She nodded, “Probably.”
I picked her up, “Let’s go then. To the nearest jewelry store.”

“Wow, that one’s huge.” She remarked, pointing at one.
“Do you want that one?”
“Mike, are you serious?!” She asked, smiling.
I nodded, “Only the best for my wife.”
She kissed me, “It’s perfect babe.”

“What a rock!” Jaime cried.
“Damn, how much did that put you back?”
“Doesn’t matter, what baby wants, baby gets.” I kissed Jenna.
“Don’t spoil her, you’ll turn her into a little brat.” Tony commented.
“You mean she’s got the potential to be a bigger brat than she is?” Jaime asked.
Jenna flipped him off.
“Come on, we’re going to get lunch.” I said.

We grabbed lunch at McDonald’s, and since we had a hometown show, we stopped to see our parents.
“Let me look at your back again.” Mom said.
Jenna lifted her shirt.
“Jesus Michael, what’s wrong with you, you could’ve seriously injured her, tu puto!”
“Mama, I’m sorry, I was a little drunk, I didn’t mean to.”
She shook her head, and looked at Jenna, “Mi pobre bebe.” She whispered.
“Venir aquí, permítanme que venda.” She whispered, leading Jenna into the bathroom.
Jenna had been around long enough, that she’d picked up on enough spanish, so that she knew what my mother was saying.

She sat on the edge of the bathtub, while mom put medicine and bandages on the small cuts on her back.
She looked up at me, “You shouldn’t feel bad honey. It happens to the best of us.”
My mother, however, shot me a dirty look, “Irresponsable dolor en el asno.”
“Mama!” I said.
“I’m sorry Michael, but if you were more careful, this poor girl wouldn’t be in this condition.”
I sighed, “I already told you, both of you, that I was sorry.”
She shook her head, “You need to be more careful.”
“I will mama, I promise.”
“She’s going to be your wife soon, and then you’ll have children. You need to be responsible. I love you, but I want you to be happy. Please, don’t kill your wife.”
I smiled a little, “I won’t kill her.”
She stood up and wiped her hands on a towel, “I’ll take your word on that.”
I sighed and helped Jenna stand up.
“Well, your mother seems happy about the engagement.” She smiled.
I nodded, “Yeah, wait till you tell dad. He’s after me about marrying you since I brought you home. He’s going to be thrilled.”
She kissed me, “I’m glad we have your family’s support. Now we just need mine.”
I smiled, “No problem, your parent’s adore me.”
She laughed, “They’ve been convinced for a few years that this is just a phase I’m going through. A fling that will come to an end, and I’ll marry a good, wealthy, successful boy.”
“Well, it won’t be the first time you’ve disappointed them.” I laughed.
She nodded, “I guess we’ll see when we tell them.” She whispered.
“Would you like some wine babe?” I asked.
“No, no. She doesn’t need wine.” My mom said.
We both looked at her funny, “Why not?” Vic asked.
“Está embarazada. las mujeres embarazadas no pueden beber vino!!” She cried.
Vic and I looked at each other, wide-eyed.
I silently prayed to god that Jenna didn’t catch that one.
“Mamá, ¿va en serio?” She asked.
I gave her a look.
She sighed, and repeated, “Mama, are you serious?!”
Mom sighed, and smiled, “I could see it the minute you walked through the door.”
“It’s noticeable?!” Jenna squealed.
Mom nodded, putting her hands on Jenna’s face, “You’re glowing honey. It’s very noticeable.”
Jenna smiled, “How is it that you know before me? That’s not fair.”
“A mother knows dear. A mother knows.”
Jenna looked at me, “I-I can’t believe it!”
I shrugged, “It’s a good thing we’re getting married then.”
She jumped in my arms and kissed me.
“I’m making a doctor’s appointment for tomorrow morning. I’ll take her while you work.” Mom explained over dinner.
I nodded, “Okay, thank you mom.”
“You know I don’t think it’s necessary, but as usual, you want a professional’s opinion.”
“That’s why I said thank you mom.”
She sighed, “When are you going to tell her parents?”
I looked at Jenna, “Well, I don’t know. We haven’t even announced the engagement yet. We’re kind of uneasy about that.”
“Not to worry dear, they’re going to be happy. It might take a little time to come to peace with the idea, but they’re going to be thrilled.”

Jenna walked in and sat down at the table, “I’m staying here tonight, so that your mother and I can go to the doctor in the morning.”
I kissed her, “Okay. I have to go. Call me and tell me what happens.”

I went back to the hotel with the band, and went to bed.
In the morning, we got up to get the day started.
Our manager Chris worked in Jenna’s place at the merch table.
“You nervous?” Vic asked.
I shrugged, “Maybe a little. I mean, just because we’d decided to work on having a baby, didn’t mean I was ready for one. I mean those things usually take time, you know. I’ll be happy either way, I’m just nervous. It’s a big responsibility, that’s all.”
“You’ll be a great dad bro.” He patted me on the back.
“Thanks Vic.”

I was in the middle of a signing when my phone rang.
It was about 12:30pm, and it had been a long, agonizing morning.
“Hold on guys, it’s my fiancee, I gotta take this.”
I picked it up, “Hi babe. What’s the news?”
I could almost see the smile on her face when she said it, “Mike, I’m pregnant. Eight weeks.”
“Babe, I can’t believe it, I’m so happy!” I smiled.
“I’m headed your way. So, I gotta go. I’ll see you soon.”
“Okay, bye, love you.”
I hung up and looked down the table at Tony, Vic and Jaime, “It’s official boys, I’m gonna be a father!”
They applauded, and the fans standing in front of us went insane.
“You’re all apart of history, you guys get to say that you were here when I found out that I’m having a baby!”

Five minutes later, while still doing the signing, the fans started freaking out.
“There she is, the future Mrs. Fuentes, and mother to Mike’s baby!!”
I turned around and Jenna was waving at everyone.
“Hey babe.” I smiled, kissing her.
“Hi. Your mother wrote me a list thirty pages long of pregnancy do’s and don’ts.” She laughed.
“It’s her her first grandchild, she’s doesn’t want anything going wrong.”
“I can’t drink coffee. Mike. I’m going to die.”
“Jenna, it’s not a big deal.”
“Yes it is. I don’t have a blood caffeine level, I have a caffeine blood level.”
“It’s seven months without coffee, You’ll be just fine.”
She kissed me, “Can you believe it, we are having a baby.”
“I’m still getting my brain around it.” I laughed.
“I hope it’s a girl.” She whispered.
“Why a girl? We don’t need another you.”
She laughed, “No, because I want a daughter that I can put in ballet, and play dolls with, and who’s got long hair for me to braid and play with.”
I smiled, “She’ll be a daddy’s girl.”
She slapped my arm, “Fat chance!”
“You watch. If we have a daughter, she’ll have me wrapped around her finger.”
“Okay Mike, whatever you say.” She laughed.

“So, two months ago.”
She nodded, “Your birthday was two months ago.” She commented.
I looked at her, “You’re not saying what I think you’re saying, are you?”
She nodded, “You knocked me up on your birthday.”
I shrugged, “Well, what can I say?”
“You’re a horny bastard. You got me pregnant before we even decided we wanted a baby.”
“That puts your due date around September.”
She nodded, “Doctor said the exact date is September 17.”
“Are we really ready for this Jenna?”
She sighed, “Well, I don’t guess it matters if we are or aren’t,, this baby is coming, ready or not.”
I smiled and kissed her, “We’ll just have to be as ready as possible, because we’re having a little Fuentes.”
“Like the world needs another Fuentes.” She rolled her eyes.
I laughed, “You like my family.”
She nodded, “I do. What I’m saying, is the world doesn’t need another you.”
I kissed her, “Shut up, you love me.”
She smiled, “I do. And you realize we have to move up the wedding, right?”
I nodded, “I was thinking sometime this month. In a couple of weeks, before you really start showing.”
She lifted her shirt, “I’d actually noticed that I was putting on weight, and craving weird foods, and my boobs were sore as hell, but I thought that was from you.”
“Have you been nauseous?”
“Yeah, a little, but I’ve just thought I was eating too much, and hungover.”
“Guess not. That’s our little baby doing all of that.”
She kissed me, “I love you Mike.”
“I love you too Jenna.” I whispered.
