Disenchanted Lullabye

Knots

There she stood on the corner of the street, beautifully perched against the wall smoking a cigarette after a night of drinking with her friends. She had called a cab to go home. A man approches her, looks and acts like he knows her and leads her away from her wall. She doesn't seem to mind and no one around her knows what's going on but they do nothing to stop the man from taking her. He leads her to his car and they drive off into the distance.

I woke up, unable to move any of limbs. I was tied to a large bed and unable to remember how I got here. I knew I had gone out drinking with the girls but that's all I could remember. I was still clothed just... tied to a bed.

"Hello?" I said hesitantly to the darkness. It smelled like I was in some cheap whore motel. A person emerged from the bathroom clad in all black and didn't talk. They turned on the light and glanced to me. The person had on a hoodie as well as a full blackout suit assumably to make sure I didn't see their face. I started to feel my stomach knot up; something bad was going to happen to me, I felt it.

I looked around the room in a slight panic. I was definitely in some shitty motel. The walls were a dingy yellow and the carpet was stained, I didn't even want to think about the grimey bed I was laying on.

"Wh-What do you want with me?" I asked yet the person still said nothing. I was clothed, nothing felt weird other than being tied up; clearly this person didn't want to rape me... not right away at least.

I watched as the person quickly wrote something on the notepad left in the room and held it close to my face.

DON'T FIGHT BACK, SCREAM OR DOING ANYTHING THAT LEADS TO YOU BEING IN DANGER OR YOU REALLY WILL BE IN DANGER.

Clearly this person also had poor wording skills. I rolled my eyes but I would agree until I found myself in a predicament that allowed me to be free.

"Can you at least untie me? If I don't fight or whatever, I'd like to be able to freely move." I said with mock-confidence. In reality, I was ready to shit myself if I did something wrong.

The person looked at me skeptically but untied my hands from the bedposts. There was a deep indentation along with a purple ring around my wrists. I felt so scared. I wanted to run but I don't know what this person will do. I wanted to untie my legs too just to get my circulation back but I was frozen with fear. I haven't been this afraid in years.

I could feel the panic levels rising in my body uncontrollably.

First, the shakiness. The tiny little tremors rang through my tightly woumd body then the light headedness, the tunnel vision. Followed by the tears and quiet hyper ventilation.
I sat there, tears streaming down my frightened face while the masked person watched me, waiting for my next move. There would be no next moved.

The darkness overtook me and I fell back onto the bed, off in my own world once again.

Notes

Please excuse the shortness of this chapter. I wanted to focus on something other than dialogue.

Hopefully, I will see you all again at the end of the week with another mysterious chapter that will bring the 'vacation' to a close.

Hope you all are well and not too cold, like I am.

See you soon, love you all!
