Disenchanted Lullabye

It's nearing Christmas time and it's weird to not be on the East Coast with all the snow and people complaining about the holiday frustrations but I'll be back there soon. Thanksgiving was weird; I was all by myself. I had been invited to spend that holiday at one of the guys houses but I declined. I felt weird about going to someones house on a family holiday like that. I just bought a Thanksgiving dinner for one meal and watched the football games that were on as well as calling my family. It was very lack luster to say the least. It wasn't the same to watch football on Thanksgiving on my couch without my family bickering and me helping my mom cook. It made me miss home but at least I wasn't freezing my tits off like I would have been.

Anywho, In the past few months, Jaime and I made our relationship official and that alone made my year the best it could be. I also got offered too do a tour with Asking Alexandria and Bring Me and All Time Low. Now, I know what you're thinking 'that's fucking bizzare' but after BMTH dropped the album with their newish sound, they all kind of worked with each other; it would bring genres together in a stranfe way. I was excited because it was just before Warped which I would be on because my boyfriend and his band are main stagers. It would be a nice warm up before the real fun begins.

I'm leaving to head back home in about a week and I had work off until I came back. I was packing my bag when I heard a knock on the door.

I ran up and rolled my eyes when I saw the guys.

"You know we were seeing each other later." I said as I let them in. To me, an EC girl, they looked silly. All bundled up while I was in a simple sweatshirt and pj shorts. To them it really was cold at sixty something degrees, this felt like my fall.

"Yeah but we decided to come here and hangout since our houses are all messy." Mike said with a smile.

"And you have a better variety of movies and games to keep us occupied." Jaime said as he gave me a sweet kiss before settling on the couch.

"Well, make yourselves at home, I have to finish packing." I said with a sigh and they chuckled.

"You're leaving in a week, why don't you just pack a few days before?" Tony said as he watched Mike hook up the console.

"Because if I did that, I would go bonkers looking for things and it wouldn't be organized. I like to have my shit together and ready to go." I said from my room. Band people, I swear.

"Well, you could do half then do the other half tomorrow so you can actually hang out with us instead of packing to leave us." Vic said and chuckled.

"I could but then it would never get done. Play a round and I'll be done by then." I yelled and hurried myself to fold and neatly place my clothes into my bag. It took my a good half hour to completely pack my bag and still have a little room for things to bring back.

"Alright, let's do this! What are we playing?" I said as I cuddled up next to Jaime and watched as Mike threw in our favorite: Call of Duty. We could all play and it was always fun. Much less tense than Mario Kart. (my personal favorite)

"Who's ready to rage quit?" I sang as I readyed myself. We were playing online and under Capture the Flag so the teams were a little uneven; Vic, Tony and I vs Mike and Jaime. Tony was a terrible shot but a great decoy.

Mike and Jaime won but that was okay, I was no sore loser. Vic and Tony however bitched about it for a while since it was a close game. We played all night, drinking and just having a good time.

We ordered a few pizzas and played more rounds in Call of Duty until the late hours of the night. I had the next two and a half weeks off from work and I was pumped to be able to relax even when I got back from CT.

"Alright, I think I'm gonna call it a night. You guys good to sleep on the floor and couch?" I said with a yawn.

"Yeah, just give us a few blankets and we'll be good." Vic said and got up to stretch. I went and got them their blankets before dragging Jaime off to bed.

"I love you, you know that?" He said as he snuggled into my pillows. He was very wasted but I blushed all the same. He had said it multiple times to me when he got drunk. He told everyone he loved them but I knew his 'I love you' to me was more than just a drunken slur.

"I love you too, Hime." I gave him a kiss and snuggled up next to him "goodnight" I said quietly as I drifted off.

I had one more night until I left to go home for Christmas. This week has been nice and chill; just hanging out with friends and doing close to nothing. Jaime had been very clingy to me but I didn't mind, a little annoying at times but I tolerated it because I knew he was sad that I was leaving for a while.

Jaime's POV

This whole week has been bittersweet. Miranda was leaving tomorrow morning to go home for Christmas and I tried to get her to stay but I knew she missed home. She talked about it all the time; how the pizza isn't quite as good or how the clam strips didn't have the right texture to them to how there was no colors in the fall. I could tell she was a nature person just by the way she talked about it all the time.

"So what ever will Hime-time do without his beloved girlfriend for two weeks?" Mike said with a swoon.

"Nothing, my life will end." I said sarcastically. I'm pretty sure Miranda's sense of humor has rubbed off on me.

"What are we doing this year? Party at someone house as usual?" Tony asked. We really hadn't made plans this year, we knew we would be spending Christmas with family but what happened before or after Christmas day was unclear.

"Well, we're having our usual Christmas party if you guys want to come." Vic said and Mike nodded.

"I'm down for it, not like I'll be doing anything spectacular this year anyways." I said with a slight chuckle.

"What did you get Miranda?" Mike asked out of nowhere. They all looked at me as if I was a sideshow cart at the fair.

"Just a silly necklace, nothing big." I said. I had gotten her a few little things but the necklace was the major thing that I got her and I would give it to her when we got to the airport. I hope she'll like everything.

"That's all?" Vic said, clearly suspicious of me.

"Hey, we've only been together for a few months, I'd like to wait a little while before I spoil her completely." I said with a laugh.

That girl could get anything from me if she even mentioned liking it. She wasn't like all of the other girls I've dated though. She wasn't materialistic, she liked when someone just put thought into something.

"Yeah, sure. Well, I gotta go do some stuff so, I'll see you guys tomorrow." Tony said with a smirk and left. I knew I was gonna leave soon as well because I was staying the night at Miranda's since I was taking her to the airport.

I stayed around for a little while longer before calling it a night with the guys.

"Well, don't worry, I'm sure she'll love everything you got her." Mike said as he walked me out.

"How did you know I got her more stuff?" I asked as I opened the door.

"Because I know you. You can't just give a girl one thing, you're too thoughtful and generous." he chuckled and shook his head.

"Well, I know she'll like the things I got her but I always get nervous about buying for girls, some are so picky."

"Yeah but Miranda isn't like all the girls we've dated. She's almost like one of the guys, shit, she pretty much is one of the guys." He laughed and I nodded.

"Yeah but you know how it is." I said as I walked out.

"I know but she'll love anything you give to her. She loved the earring you gave her for her birthday so.." Mike said with a shrug.

"Yeah. I'll see you tomorrow, dude."

"Alright, see ya later!" He yelled as he closed the door.


Time to spend my last night with my lovely girlfriend. I know she's only gonna be gone for a little while but I wanted to be with her at all times. She was that kind of person, the kind you just want to be with.


The kind of girl you want to be with for the rest of your life.

oooh, incoming drama and fluff in the future! Miranda's going on a tour with friends and the infamous kisser, how shall that turn out? >;) Jaime's got cute gifts and I'll bet Miranda has some nice ones too but that will be found out in the next chapter!

I'm surprised I got this one up on time, I really didn't think I would. I thought I would be spending my birthday finishing this bad boy up haha (big 18 tomorrow, ADULTHOOD HERE I COME)
