To Love Preciado

It's third hour, music theory. It's one of my favorite classes considering I want to start writing my own music. There's not many people in this class. Empty seats are scattered throughout the room.

I was taking notes, absorbing as much information as possible. We were fifteen minutes into class when the door opened and two people entered. The first person was one of the counselors here, the second was a boy. The boy is probably a little shorter than six foot, skinny, Mexican, and has weird hair.

The teacher and the counselor spoke to each other just loud enough for the class to hear. "This is Jaime Preciado, he's a senior. He's a new student here at Chula Vista High School, he used to go to El Capitan. He'll be joining your class."

"Welcome, I'm Mr. Schultz." my teacher shook Jaime's hand, "You may sit wherever you like."

Jaime walked slowly towards the back of the classroom. I watched his beautifully structured face as he came up to the empty seat next to me. "May I sit here?" he asked, his eyes wandering my face. I nodded. He sat down and introduced himself, "Hi, I'm Jaime."

"Rosaline." I shook his hand then quickly led my eyes back to my notes, positive that I was blushing.

Near the end of class I could see him scribbling something onto a small piece of paper out of the corner of my eye. The bell rang and as I stood up he handed me the sliver of torn notebook paper. I glanced down at the writing and saw that it was a phone number. I looked back up at Jaime and he winked at me, he flashed me the most gorgeous smile. I felt my insides fire up and I could sense that I was blushing more than ever. I couldn't help but smile back and I then walked to my next class.
