This Love Was Out of Control

Get In Losers, We're Going To New York!

*Vic’s POV*

Sitting on the couch watching TV by yourself because your brother had plans today and you didn’t, really fucking sucks. Mike went to Frenchi’s to spend the day with her and I don‘t where Jaime went. He slept over, but I’m guessing he left early. I thought Sunday was suppose to be family day, the day where all your relatives come together and spend time with one another; not going to your girl friend’s house. Sunday is the day we praise Jesus, you feel me?

Well what do I know about family day? I don’t even go to church anymore and I bet they won’t accept me back because of my sexuality. Speaking of family, my parents don’t even know that I’m gay, let alone starting up in a successful band. They probably still think I’m with Cara…ewww. Just her name now makes me cringe. I hope she’s happy with the boy she’s with.

I miss my mama and papa. I really want to spend a little bit of time with them before Fearless calls us in to start working on new music.

But for now, le-

“I LOVE BAD BITCHES, THAT'S MY FUCKIN' PROBLEM! AND YEAH I LIKE TO FUCK, I GOTTA FUCKIN' PROBLEM!” Mike came through the door singing Fucking Problems by ASAP and some other ghetto niggas that I can’t think of at the moment.

“…You interrupted my thoughts, a-hole,” I spat out, turning my attention back to the TV, not like I cared what was on anyway.

“A-hole? What, did you forget to how swear?”

“It’s Sunday.”

“So what?”

“We’re suppose to spend time with family and praise the lord today.” I kept flipping channels because there was nothing amusing that was on.

“Since when did you give a shit about praising God? You don’t go to church anyway.”

“Neither do you!” I defended myself. “Why are you home? I thought you were with Frenchi.”

“I was. Now that you mention family, she’s like her and her parents always go out for breakfast after church on Sunday, so I just said ok, gave her a kiss, and left.”

I sighed and got up from the couch. “I miss mama and papa. Should we visit them?”

“Why? They never even bother to call us or come over at all. What’s the point of going to their house and seeing them?”

“Because they’re family, Mikey. Do you know what family is?”

“Yeeeahh, but I still don’t think it’s a good idea. By the way, when are you and Jaime having a wedding? I love weddings!”

Just Jaime’s name sends shivers up my spine. I miss him already. The proposal yesterday was beautiful and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. “I don’t know yet. We just got engaged, so chill for now.”

“Let me see the ring.”

I flashed him my left hand, a diamond ring sat on the fourth finger. A wide smile tugged at my lips, making me blush to a deep red. “I still can’t believe he proposed!”

He held my hand. “I still can’t believe it’s not butter!” he joked. “I’m kidding. It’s an amazing ring, Vic.”

“Thanks, brother.” I pulled my hand back and stared at the ring once more. “I miss him.”

“Call him?”

That’s exactly what I did. I dialed up his digits, but there was no answer. “He didn’t pick up.”

“Maybe he’s at work?” he offered.

I called Caesar and asked her if he was working today and she said ‘no, he’s not it.’ So then where is he? “He’s not working at the massage parlor today. He didn’t answer his phone either.” I told Mike. I’m not trying to be a stalker, but I want to know where he is. I called Tony, maybe he knows where he is?

“Hello?”

“Yeah, hey, Tony!”

“Sup, Fuentes?”

“Actually, something is up. Jaime isn’t answering his phone. He’s not at work.”

“Yes he is, I just called him.”

“I just called Caesar and she said that he’s not in today.”

“You’re dumb, Fuentes. You’re engaged to someone you barely know yet. He has two jobs; he’s working at Costco.”

“But he didn’t answer his phone when I called him.”

“I called the store, not his cell. The boss can direct you to the section he’s working in.”

“Thanks, Tone Tone, you helped me majorly,” I chuckled.

“Don’t call me that,” he said sternly.

“Why not? It’s catchy, I like it.”

~~~
I pulled up at Costco and walked around a little. I didn’t know what part of Costco Jaime worked at so I just proceeded to each section. I couldn’t bother anyone working because, well, that’s just not me. If someone bothered me while I was working on lyrics or recording, I’d flip a shit and start bitching.
Five minutes of walking around and I finally spot Jaime in the Deli area, stacking lunch meat on top of each other. I stood my distance away from him until I decided to tiptoe like a creep over in his direction. I pranced behind him and grabbed his hips, digging my fingers into his sides.
“Oh my god!” he chuckled, turning to me. “What the hell, Vic! Tryna scare my ass?”
“It worked, didn’t it?” I smiled widely. He continued to place the lunch meat in the correct spots, making sure nothing was out of order. I leaned on his back, pressing my body against his and wrapping my arms around his waist.
“Vic, really? You’re trying to be intimate now, while I’m working?”
I tilted my body away from him. “I miss you, that’s all.”
“You saw me yesterday, Vic. We spent the whole day together,” he said smiling at me.
“So far, one of the best days of my life,” I returned the smile.
He leaned into me and kissed my cheek. For that moment, I closed my eyes and envisioned ourselves in the future. A beautiful family with three kids and a wonderful place to live on our own. I mean, ok, maybe not three kids, but God can bless us with at least one of our own. I pulled away from my thoughts as Jaime pulled away from me.
“Don’t stop,” I said with a puppy-dog eyes. “I want you.”
“You have me already! Did you forget the occurrences of yesterday?! I'm all yours.”
“You don’t get it, Jaime. I really want you,” I winked, biting down on my lip.
“Oh, you mean, woah, Vic, not here. We can’t do that here.”
“Ugh, I can’t wait any longer. Lets do it, now that we’re engaged, it will start a new chapter.”
“You’re losing it, Fuentes. When we get married, then it starts a new chapter. It’s not determined by engagement and having sex.”
I stared in his eyes before crashing my lips to his. I entangled my fingers in his hair. “Does this help you?” I placed my hands directly on his hips and slowly grinded down on him. He pulled away, taking my arm and dragging me into the back room.
“What are you doing?”
“I’m horny,” I winked at him.
“Go home and rub one out. You won’t be horny anymore.”
“Damn, Preciado. I just wanted to make love to you.”
He sighed and intertwined his fingers with mine. “I know you do. I do too, but here?”
“We’re in a room where no one is gonna care to come in. It’s not cold in here sooo, why not?” I suggested, resting my forehead on his shoulder. I wouldn’t leave his side. I was determined.
He quickly sighed. “If I rub one out for you, then will you chillax at home?”
I smiled like a child at him, showing him that I would comply to his question. “You’re the greatest, Hime.”
“Shut up and drop your pants,” he said sternly. “I want them off, now.”
I fumbled through the buttons on my jeans and unzipped the zipper, sending them below my knees. Jaime dropped to the ground, his knees planted in place. He started at the tip and briskly took all of me inside his mouth, bobbing his head up and down. I moaned in complete bliss at his touch. To the part he couldn’t reach, he wrapped his fingers around the base and jerked his hand at a slow speed.
“Oh yeah,” I moaned, tilting my head back. I slid my fingers in his hair, gripping thick strands and tightening harshly. “Faster, please.”
He pulled out and halted with a popping sound. “Easy on the hair, will you? This takes long to style.”
I laughed at his comment, acknowledging him to continue. He flipped his eyes at me a couple times while he sucked me off.
I wanted to scream because I was getting a massive erection. “Ah, fuck,” I whispered.
He stood up and started unbuckling his jeans. “Bend over.”
I turned around and faced him. “What?” He pushed me against the wall and leaned into me. I smiled widely at his action, knowing what he was gonna do.
“You want it, I want it, we’re doing it.” He cut right to the chase and pushed inside my entrance, making me squeal under him. “Shh, we can’t let people hear us,” he whispered, jamming himself inside me.
I let out quiet moans and clenched my eyes shut.
Everything was going great, until my phone started to beep inside my pocket. “Jaime, this, oh god," I said, not holding back my moans. "This might be im-important.”
He stopped thrusting and pulled out. He pulled up his pants and zipped them up.
I quickly unlocked my phone and answered. “Hello?”
“Hello, is this Victor Fuentes from the band Pierce the Veil?” the lady said on the other line.
“Yes, this is him.”
“Hi there! This is Melissa calling from the studio. We just recently noticed that the band was signed to Fearless Records, am I right?”
“Correct.”
“Fearless is a very high record label and they want you all to start off easy. They are gonna put you guys through Equal Vision Records first to see how good you are. Would that be alright?”
“Uh yeah, it’s fine. One question?”
“Yes, Sir?”
“Where is Equal Vision at? I never heard of it in Cali.”
“It’s not, it’s an Albany, New York. It’s an Alternative Indie record label.”
“What?! We have to go down there to produce music? Isn’t that too far?”
“You guys will tour sooner or later, should it be a big deal if you must leave California and go there? But if it's a problem-”
“What’s going on?” Jaime asked.
“No, it’s not a problem. Thank you for telling me this. When do we need to be there in the studio?”
“You’re welcome and next week. We will alert Fearless and Equal Vision of your decision. Thank you for your time.”
“Thanks.” I hung up and stared at Jaime.
“Well?” Jaime asked again. “What’s going on? Where are we going?”
“Call Tony and tell him we’ll be going in the studio next week,” I said with a smile planted on my face.
“Oh my god, really?! Finally! But wait, why were you freaking out though? You’re like ‘we have to go down there to produce music.’ What were you talking about?”
“A lady named Melissa called in from the studio and she said Fearless wants us to start out in Equal Vision Records before we go to Fearless because it’s high class and shit.”
“Oh, okay. But you said ‘go down there’…where exactly are you talking about? What‘s the problem?”
“The Equal Vision studio isn’t in Cali.”
“What? Where the fuck is the studio then?!” Jaime beamed.
“Pack your bags, Jaime. We’re going to New York.”
~~~

Jaime revealed the news to Tony later that day and he was ok with it. Mike didn’t really care either, but he was pretty damn sad that he was gonna leave his girlfriend behind. Same for Tony. Caesar wouldn’t be too happy, but it was all for the best. We were leaving in a week so they can pretty much spend whatever time they have together, for now.

Jaime and I walked into school on Monday, but sadly had to part our ways. I honestly couldn’t wait till 4th hour to come. Everyone we know is in that class. I don’t really talk to many people in the first three hours. Some nonsense facts, but why not share my nonsense with you all?

~~~
I waited for Jaime to appear at the door so we could walk in Biology together.
“Hey, Vic!” he said, kissing my cheek and braiding his fingers with mine.
We walked into class together, everyone already crowding us. It’s weird how sometimes people don’t notice something shiny on your finger.
“Jaime!” Caesar yelled, giving him a quick hug before Jenna and Mike walked over to us.
“Where is my hug?” I pouted childishly at Caesar. She swayed her shoulders and wobbled over to me, embracing me in a hug. I wrapped my arms around her back and Jenna snatched my arm and yanked it towards her.
“WHAT IS THIS ON YOUR FINGER?!” she screamed, making sure everyone in the class heard. Everyone faced our little group and started to huddle over us. What, someone has to scream for us to be noticed?
Caesar pulled away from me and smiled. “Oh my god, Vic! Is that what I think it is?!” I stared at her while she jumped on Jaime’s lap. “DID YOU…YOU ASKED HIM OR…”
“Vic, you’re engaged?!” Jenna screeched. I couldn’t help but smile widely at her. “To who?!”
“Who else have I been with for the past couple months?” I pointed out.
“WHY DIDN’T YOU TWO FUCKERS SAY ANYTHING TO US?! WHEN DID YOU GET ENGAGED?!” Lindsay hollered across the room.
It’s funny to how the girls like to freak out about stuff, but they guys don’t. I know it’s not a big deal to them, but for me, it is. "On Friday."
I saw Kellin sitting over in the back right corner writing in his notebook with headphones in his ears. He must be listening to something heavy since he didn’t hear a word anyone was screaming.
“Kellin?” Jenna said from a distance in the class room. He didn’t respond. Music really does keep you occupied. “KELLIN?!” she yelled again, but no response. She sprinted over to him and pulled his headphones out.
“Never pull my headphones out, you little shit!” Kellin said angrily, practically jumping out of his seat like he just got an electric shock. Even though he yelled at her, he flashed her a smile.
“Who cares about that! Vic is engaged, idiot!”
I waited for a reaction from him, but I received nothing obnoxious like the girls did. “W-What?”
“Vic is en-”
“I know, I’m just…I don’t know what to say.”
*Kellin’s POV*
“I know, I’m just…I don’t know what to say,” I admitted, going back to my notebook and scribbling down more notes. I feel like I’m being an asshole because I didn’t congratulate him. It was kinda obvious it was gonna happen sooner or later.
Jaime walked over and patted me on the shoulder. “Can I talk to you outside the class for a sec?”
I was annoyed that Jaime asked that. Of course I don’t wanna talk about it. I faced him and got up out of my chair, leaving the class and him following suit.
“What’s up with you?” he asked me, placing his hands on his hips.
“Nothing,” I said brazenly, folding my arms across my chest and facing a different direction.
“So why aren’t you happy for Vic? Don’t act like it means absolutely nothing to you that Vic is engaged. Forget about me, but why do you care so much about him? I know you guys are best friends, but d-”
“Because you’re gonna hurt him, Jaime!” I blurted, interrupting his statement.
“What?” he asked, confused. “I would never do something like that!”
“You’re gonna hurt him! I know you will!” I couldn’t hold in my frustration. “I’m happy that you guys are gonna be married soon, but I know it’s gonna happen. You’re gonna hurt him badly. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but he’s gonna cry over you. I know something will happen. Something always happens. No one in the world has a perfect fucking relationship!”
“I would never cheat on Vic! I love him!”
“I never said you were gonna cheat, but in time, something will happen between you two and one day, you won’t be there for him. You’re going to leave him behind unintentionally, without a warning, without saying good-bye. And to be honest, it's not gonna be your fault.”
“What is wrong with you?! Why are you saying this?! Are you just jealous because he chose me over you? Look, I’m sorry, Kellin, but you’re wrong. I won’t ever leave. I’m never going to cheat on him, and I most definitely will not let him cry.”
I’m done with this conversation. “Mark my words, you’re gonna hurt him, and then he’s going to cry. He’s gonna cry because you’ll leave him. Not only will you leave him, you’ll leave others behind as well. You’re gonna hurt them too. One day you will realize that you couldn't do anything to stop it.”
“You act like I’m gonna be forced to move to Iraq or something! Please, just, whatever is on your mind, get it out because it’s messing you up, big time.”
~~~

*Vic’s POV*

Jaime and I decided to tell my parents the good news. Even though it’s been a while since I’ve seen them, I really miss them. What better way then to break the news, right?

Right. So we’re on our way to my parents house and Jaime looks a little bit drained. “You ok, love?”

He continued to stare at the sky from his side of the car. I wonder if he even has the slightest idea I just asked him a question. We came to a stop light. “Jaime.” He finally turned around. “You ok?” He shook his head. “You don’t have to be nervous to meet my parents.”

“It’s not that, it’s something else,” he said glumly, facing the window again.

“You wanna talk about it?”

“It’s not what you think, but I had Kellin on my mind the whole day.”

“Why is that?”

“He pissed me off.”

“What did he say to you? I’ll beat his ass!”

“Thanks for sticking up for me, but it’s not that kind of "pissed me off." It is something he said though.”

“Well?”

“…He said I was gonna hurt you, not by cheating, but something else. He said you’re gonna cry and cry, and you’ll never get over it. And he was like it's not gonna be my fault because there would be no way I could've stopped it.”

“What’s he talking about?”

“I haven’t a clue, but it scares me. I don’t want to see you cry and I don’t want to see you get hurt. I would never do anything to hurt you. I don’t know why he was saying that.”

“Don’t even worry about it. He’s nuts right now. Maybe he’ll cool off tomorrow. We’re here!” We both jumped out of the car and headed straight for the door. “Ready?” He nodded his head, which gave me the “go ahead” to ring the doorbell. No one answered at first, so we waited there a couple seconds.

“Victor! Mi hijo! It’s been too long!” Mama said happily, gripping me with all her might.

“Mama! I miss you so much!” I cheered.

She pulled away from me and eyed Jaime. “Who is your friend, Victor?”

“This is-” Jaime cut me off.

“Allow me, Victor,” he mocked my mom. He held my mother’s hand in his and pressed his lips to the upside of her hand. “Me llamo Jaime Alberto Preciado. Se mira muy bonita esta noche.”

She smiled widely at him and focused her eyes on me. “Victor, your friend is muy encantador, very charming.”

We both slowly walked in the house. “You’re so fucking ratchet,” I whispered to him.

“Gurrrrrl, she already loves me.”

“Please, boys, sit down. What can I get you, Jaime Alberto Preciado?” she winked playfully.

Jaime leaned over to me and whispered, “Your mom is so cute.” He leaned away and said, “Water would be nice.”

“Don’t be shy, sweetie. You want Dew Mountain?”

Dew Mountain? HAHAHA. “Mama, it’s Mountain Dew.”

“No me respuestas correctas, Victor! Don’t correct me, I say what I want. Now then, a Mountain Dew for you, Jaime?“ He nodded his head. “And you, Vic?”

“Uhh, Coke?”

“Where is your brother Michael?” Mama asked me, tossing Jaime and I our drinks.

“At home. He didn’t want to come. Besides, I wanted you to meet Jaime. Where is Papa?”

“He’ll be down in a minute. Why did you want me to meet your friend? You never wanted me to see any of your friends before. What makes him special?”

I stared at Jaime and we both smiled at each other. Before I could announce our engagement, Papa Fuentes stepped into the living room where all of us were present in.

“Victor, cómo han sido? Desde hace un tiempo hemos visto que,” my dad said.

“Uh, what?” I said, not knowing what he was talking about.

“How do you not know what he’s saying? I thought you were Mexican?” Jaime said to me, stunned that I didn’t know everything.

“I am! I don’t every fucking word!”

“He said ‘how have you been and it’s been a while since he’s seen you.’ God, you’re stupid.”

“Am not!” I directed to Jaime and then turning to my dad. My father understands English, but doesn’t have a clue on how to speak it. “I’ve been great, Papa!”

“Quién es este?” he asked, pointing to Jaime.

“Me llamo Jaime. Lo siento su hijo no hablan español. Es estúpido,” he laughed along with my father.

“You know what, I’m not that fucking stupid! I heard that!”

“What, it was a joke!” Jaime laughed.

“Vic, what is that on your finger, mi hijo?” my mom said, holding my hand close to her face.

“An engagement ring,” I smiled.

“What? You and Cara are finally engaged?!”

Woah Woah Woah, not to that bitch! “Actually, we broke up a long time ago, around when senior year started.”

“Then who are you…wait, no…no it can’t be, can it?”

Jaime and I gave each other blank stares. “Mom, dad, this is my fiancé, Jaime,” I smiled. My parents didn’t seem like they enjoyed the idea of me being with a boy, but I really didn’t care. My opinion matters, not to be rude.

“That’s why you wanted me to meet him? Because you want to get married to him?” my mom said. I nodded at her. “Well then, are you sure this is what you want?”

“Yes, mama.”

“What happen to that lovely girl you were dating?”

“I told you, we broke up.”

“Por que?”

“She cheated on me with someone else. Can we not talk about her?” Just hearing her name makes me pissed. I never want to see her again. She ruined our relationship so I don’t give a fuck anymore.

*1 week later*

Mike was already asleep in his bed. Me, on the other hand, couldn’t get my brain to shut off. I kept pondering about Jaime and how much he means to me. On top of that, it was 1 in the morning and we all had a flight to catch later today. New York was gonna be a fresh start for all of us, especially Mike and I. We’ve never been out of San Diego so this would definitely be something different.

I was feeling a little bit sad because Jaime has been working, like, all this week to make up for loss time he’s gonna have and I haven’t gotten a chance to spend time with him. I know we’re gonna be busy in Albany, and practically working our asses off to get our music produced, but on top of that, when are we gonna have our “privacy” or “alone” time with each other?

Not only that, I think I’m getting sexually frustrated. All the tension inside me wants to be let out. Let out meaning, explode! Yeah, I think you get the picture of how badly I want to have sex.

I rotated my body over to my dresser and reached to grab my phone. I unlocked it and dialed Jaime’s digits.

“Hel-lo?” he stuttered.

Shit, I didn’t know he went to sleep already. Why does everyone fucking sleep so early? It’s only one! “Hey, Jaime. I just wanted to say I love you.”

“I love you too, babe.”

I sensed him smiling like a loser to himself. “Are you excited about tomorrow?”

“Actually, yeah I am. Tony was a little disheartened because he doesn’t want to leave Caesar here alone. He’ll be relaxed when he’s on board so yeah, he’ll be just fine. How is Mike holding up?”

“He was ok, I guess. He didn’t show any sign of emotion that he was feeling depressed or empty,” I added.

“That’s good. Listen, I’m really tired. I had a stressful day at work just picking up boxes and shit. I’ll call you tomorrow when I come over your house with Tony.”

“Ok, love. By the way, Frenchi said she’s gonna come to the airport with us and she‘s leaving her car at our house; so you and Tony take his car because Frenchi is gonna drive our car back home and then jump in her car and go home, if that makes any sense whatsoever.”

“Yeah, it does make sense, I get it. So maybe Caesar can say bye at the airport and then she can just drive our car back and then take hers home.”

“Yeah, good idea, Himes!”

“Alright, well, I’ll see you tomorrow, babe. I love you,” Jaime said softly.

“I love you too…wait!” I quietly screamed, almost panicking that he would shut the phone.

“Yes?”

Thank god. “…Why would Kellin say something like that to you? It’s starting to worry me now. I was the one telling you earlier not to worry about it. But now, it's just like-”

“Don’t let it get to your head, Vic. I don’t know why he’s saying that. But anywho, go to sleep. Big day tomorrow,” he laughed.
