Worlds Over, Time to Die. Nothing Left but our Souls Inside.

“Here…” I told Danielle as I handed her a plate of food. She hasn’t eaten anything in the last few days. I may be mad at her but I still care. She took it from me and placed it on the table in front of her. She stared off into space. I couldn’t figure out what was going through her head and it drove me insane. It was never like this before. We were always so open with each other. We talked to each other about everything. Now it’s just so…different. I guess that’s what happens when the world ends.
I tried to look her in the eyes, but she refused it. “Danielle?” “hmm?” she simply said in response. “Please look at me.” I begged her. “I’m not mad, I just want to know why. I want to know what I could of done for you to hate me so much that you felt obligated for you to cheat on me with my brother!?” I slammed my hand on the table when I yelled brother. I can’t even think of him as a brother anymore, he dead to me.
She continued to stare at nothing. “What did I do!” I slammed the table again, hot tears running down my face. She flinched from the loud noise but still did not make eye contact with me. “If your not mad than why are you yelling? She asked me. I just stared at her in disbelief. How could the girl I fell in love with so many years ago turn on me like this. I just don’t get it. “Danielle, I can’t take this anymore.” I fell to my knees in tears. I grabbed her hands. “Please, I am begging you. Talk to me.” She still stared off into space like I wasn’t right in front of her. “Please?!” I yelled/ cried to her. I held onto her hands even though she wouldn’t hold mine back. I was trying everything to get to her. Finally, her eyes formed a few tears and fell down her freckled cheeks. I placed my hand on her face as she finally made eye contact with me. “I have to tell you something.” She whispered to me. “What is it darling?” I asked her intently. She stared at me fore a moment and then looked down. Tears covered her beautiful face. “Danielle?” I calmly spoke to her. “I’m just afraid of what your reaction will be.”
