Worlds Over, Time to Die. Nothing Left but our Souls Inside.

We're so close to home now! At any time I could find my family and finally feel whole again. I know it sounds like I'm getting my hopes up but finding them is the only thing keeping me alive right now. If we get to Oregon and they aren't there, I'm not sure what I'll do.

We were all getting very stressed as the days went on. Tony's sisters were practically useless this whole time but now Rebecca has made the effort to try and help a little, Vic isn't much a fan of her. Mike is still upset with me but I expected that; I don't really care about that though. All I care about is finding my family.

Sometimes I think Vic purposely puts Alysha and I on watch just to get a rise out of Mike. The amount of times he's told me that he wants me to stay away from her is impeccable but I am forced to be near her.

Her and I share something that no one else knows about; Gabe. Alysha isn't really happy with Mike anymore, she always tells me how she wishes he would lay off her little. It's not my place to tell Mike about the things she says but I'm sure if neither of them talk about it, sooner or later I'll tell him.

We were coming really close to the Oregon border and I just wanted to run the rest of the way to finally know what's happened. The world was a ghost town, we hadn't met any survivors yet. We had feelings that there were people still out there, people trying to survive like us but we had never seen anyone.

I was stuck doing watch again tonight with Alysha, some of the group was out on a supply run and we were out here in front of a vacant house while Tony and his sister were out back.

"Hey Kel?" She said softly and I looked over to her.

"Do you ever want to just run away?" She looked up at the clear night sky and sighed.

"I don't really want to..." I said quietly.

"Why not?"

"Well, we're all we have now. This group is all we have. We have to be here for each other and protect one another. If people just ran, nothing would be the same. Like when Mike ran away, nothing worked right." I said logically. As much as I would love to be able to go freely, I wouldn't be safe and I want to know if my friends are safe.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." She said and we went back to the dull sounds of night time.


The group from the supply run came back with more stuff than we thought they would and it was finally time for us all to rest. We were lucky enough to have a house with protection; lockable doors, a secure basement.

We had our quiet final meal and went to our own makeshift beds.



I just want the world to be right again. I want my family to be alright. I want everyone to be normal again.

YAY, WE'RE BACK! And with two fab new friends! itskaityy(Rebecca Perry) and nativeturtle_ (Jack Fowler) We're all getting very excited and motivated to write again and we're really stoked to see how you guys like it! We're coming up to an important event soon and I'm honestly dreading it but still super excited for it too.
