Worlds Over, Time to Die. Nothing Left but our Souls Inside.

Okay guys so quite a bit has happened last I last wrote in here. I guess Kellin kissed Alysha and now the tension is super high because Vic told Mike. Needless to say Mike and his parents refuse to talk to Alysha and they are practically shunning her. I feel so bad for her because Vic told me she didn’t do it, it was Kellin and Vic seems to think it was just purely out of desperation. Alysha has tried to talk to Mike but it always ends up in a fight. I really hope that they make up soon because traveling is going to be even harder with people split like this.

We are supposed to be leaving but we just don’t have adequate supplies. We need to make sure that we have enough food and water to last us because we have no idea what it’s like out there and we have to be prepared for the worst. Vic has been sending everyone out on supply runs and they have to keep going further and further because we have exhausted all the resources that are close to use. It’s just a matter of time before supply runs aren’t possible to do in a day. I keep begging Vic to let us leave already but he feels we still aren’t prepared. We have quite a big group and because of that we need more food he says.

The waiting is taking a toll on everyone though. We are all growing restless and with the tension, being in the unit is nearly unbearable. Just today I got in another fight with Vic over leaving. It always goes something like this..

“Vic please, we need to leave soon. Can’t you see how bad it’s getting here? If we stay much longer I’m worried that someone is going to get violent.”
“I told you, we can’t leave just yet. We have no idea what it’s like out there and I don’t want to risk having anyone starve. We have to be prepared.”
“We have enough food for a week if we stick to the rations.” He got quiet and just shook his head. I know that he didn’t really choose to be leader but it was his position and it was wearing on him. I felt bad and wanted to help out more but I felt like he was shutting me out and I didn’t know how to reach him. I just gave him a quick peck on the cheek and left the unit.

I couldn’t stay in there much longer. I didn’t want the tension to rise higher and I needed to blow off steam. I jogged around the unit a few times and stopped to talk to Erin who was on guard duty with Tony. Since she had gotten back he refused to let her out of his sight. She was still recovering but insisted on doing something to help out so Vic gave her guard duty with Tony. She was doing better and Tony was nearly back to his old self.

I said my goodbyes and went to sit by the tree that was still in view of the unit. I sat there lost in my thoughts until I heard sobbing. I walked around the tree but didn’t see anyone. I was confused until I looked up and saw Alysha sitting on a branch and crying. I was just about to climb up when I heard shouting from the direction of the unit. Alysha’s head shot up and she jumped down from the tree. We raced to the noise together.

When we got there everyone was already out of the unit and surrounding the commotion. Alysha and I pushed our way through and was shocked at what we saw. Mike and Kellin were being held back by Jaime and Tony. Both of the guys were bloody and out of breath. Vic was between them shouting orders. Jaime drug Mike off in one direction and Tony took Kellin the other way.

Vic looked up and our eyes met. He mouthed ‘It’s time’. I felt no satisfaction in being right, I just hoped we weren’t too late and things weren’t too broken.

So can someone say Vic and Danielle's convo was major foreshadowing? I honestly did not mean to do that either. I had no idea where I was going to go but that's where I ended up.

Come to think of it, that's how most my stories go haha. They just kinda end up where they are.
