Drella! Drella!
I'm Sorry
I walked in my front door and peeked my head around the door. I put my stuff down and went walking, searching for Drella. I peered in each room and found them empty. I saw Daniel sat on the couch going through his books. I went over and tickled his side.
"How come you're still up, little man?" I asked.
"You missed dinner." Daniel told me.
"I know. But what does that have to do with you staying up past your bedtime?"
"Mom is mad and when she's mad she forgets about time." he shrugged.
"I know she does. Where is she?"
"Painting upstairs."
"Happy painting?" I asked hopefully.
"Nope. I asked and she told me she wanted to paint with your blood."
"Great," I groaned. "And you get changed for bed. When I've talked to your mom I'm making sure you're in bed." I told him.
"But-"
"Nothing, get changed." I said. Daniel got up and ran upstairs. I followed him and went to Drella's studio. "Ella?!" I called. I knocked the door and got nothing back. "Babe, are you in there?" Nothing. I opened the door and saw Drella stood, covered in red paint glaring at the canvas.
"Go. Away." Drella growled.
"I know I missed dinner and I know I promised I would cook tonight and you're probably really mad, especially with our anniversary next week but-"
"Get out!" she rounded on me.
"But baby-"
"Am I not speaking English? I'm mad. You're never here so get out and be not here again."
"Drella," I sighed. "We really broke through in the studio. We have a date set and-"
"I don't want to hear it." she shook her head. Then Drella got up and walked towards me. I started to back away and she walked until I was right out of the room and door slammed. I sighed and leant up against it.
"Can you tell me a story?" Daniel asked, coming over.
"Not tonight."
"Come on." Daniel whined.
"You miss dinner and now you refuse to tell your son a story. What's the point in being a dad, Vic?!" Drella yelled from the studio.
"Sure, come on." I told Daniel.
We walked into his room and he climbed into bed. I tucked the covers up to his chin and took a seat on his bed. "What story do you want to hear?" I asked.
"Tell me one! You have tons." Daniel grinned at me.
"Okay, what about?"
"How you and Mom met."
"Oh," I sighed. "That is a long story."
"Please." he begged.
"Okay, let's think. It was back in my senior year of high school..."
Notes
Hello! New story time. This is going to be my story Drella as told from Vic's p.o.v. There will be some present chapters thrown in too for good measure. Who's excited? If you haven't read Drella this story is also totally readable on it's own, all you'd get from reading the others as well is a heads up on what's to come and more info on Drella as a character. But is there anything you would like explored in this one that wasn't in Drella? Let me know! xoxo
