I Put Your Body to the Test With Mine

I let you down and I started to run. Never meant to be your pain, oh my God, what have I become?

When I woke up in the arms of Tony the next morning, there was a smile on my face from the moment I opened my eyes. His chest was in front of my face and I leaned closer and pressed my lips against his tattooed skin. I kissed his chest a few times, just enjoying the warmth of his body.

He started to wake up and once he finally did, he let out a groan and wrapped his arms around me more tightly. He ended up burying me under his body and the sheets, and I started laughing and tried to get him off me.

”Tony, you're killing me!” I whined, my muffled voice not sounding very loud. Tony lifted his head up and looked into my eyes before brushing my hair away from my face.

”Good morning, Abby,” he murmured before leaning in and pressing his soft lips against my mouth. I grinned like an idiot and kissed him back.

”This is turning me on,” I whispered against his lips, admitting the obvious truth.

It was the morning which meant that he had his morning wood on, or then the moment was turning him on, too. Either way, the moment, without meaning to, had turned quite hot and passionate.

”Oh yeah?” he murmured, ”Can I help you with that? Is there something I can do for you?”

”I guess you could maybe help me a little,” I admitted with a quiet giggle.

He pulled me into another kiss and as he was already ready to go, he only needed to guide himself into me with a little help of his hand. He entered me and I gasped but soon my mouth was covered by his lips and we were repeating the acts of the previous night. And let me tell you, it was good.

When Tony and I left his bedroom, there was a surprise waiting for him in the living room. Mike and Jaime, and Vic of course, were all sitting in the living room. All of their faces lit up when they saw their friend and soon the shouting started.

”Hey, man, what's up?”

”Hey!”

”What are you guys doing here again?” Tony exclaimed with a grin as he walked closer to his best friends. Soon the four of them were sitting on the couches and they started chatting.

”We actually came down to Miami Beach with the girls,” Mike explained.

Soon he was telling Tony how they and their girlfriends had booked flights and hotels and would be staying a week in Miami.

”Isn't Kelsey here?” Jaime asked suddenly and soon his eyes landed on me.

I was wearing nothing but Tony's shirt and my underwear and blushed madly as in no time they were all looking at me. Jaime and Mike were probably wondering why I was there and not Kelsey.

”We, uh, broke up,” Tony explained quietly, ”Yesterday.”

”Oh, man, I'm sorry,” Mike said, ”What happened?”

”I'll tell you later, man,” Tony said quickly. Obviously he didn't feel like talking about the previous day.

”So, uh... Are you and Abby together now or what?” Jaime asked.

”Oh, no,” Tony said, ”We're just... We're...”

As he didn't know what to tell them, he turned to look at me and waited for some kind of help from my direction.

”We're just friends,” I mumbled quietly.

”Friends who sleep together?”

”Friends, who, uh... Spend time together,” I mumbled and looked down.

”Fine, we sleep together,” Tony finally said, ”That's it. No need for questions anymore.”

”Tony!” I exclaimed in shock, and all of the guys laughed.

I had never seen him so bold when it came to talking about his girls or girlfriends. He never talked about sleeping with girls out loud. Especially not about us because we weren't even together.

I left the room and made my way into the kitchen to get some breakfast. I knew Tony's place probably better than mine, and made myself a cup of tea before sitting down to enjoy it. The boys chatted in the living room for a while.

As I had just about finished my tea, Vic walked into the kitchen. He had a grin on his face as he sat down in front of me and just looked at me like he was waiting for something.

”What?” I asked finally and furrowed my eyebrows.

”Are you happy? That Tony and Kelsey broke up and she's out of the picture now?” he asked me quietly.

”Well, yeah,” I nodded, ”Of course. She was no good for him.”

”And you're much better for him than she was, right?”

”Exactly. At least, I would like to think so,” I said and shrugged.

”I just... I know you two like each other and Tony is my friend but you're a girl and I feel like I have to protect you. I'm afraid that Tony is going to hurt you in the end,” he told me really quietly.

”What are you talking about, Vic?”

”What do you think is going to happen when the summer ends? He's going back to San Diego and you're going to New York. And what if you fall in love with him and you two have to separate?”

”Vic... We have parted our ways every summer. I think we're going to live after that.”

”But this summer is different, isn't it? You're falling in love with him,” he stated.

”How do you know that?” I asked.

”It's written all over your face, Abby,” he said and let out a laugh.

”Oh my god...”

”Yeah. What are you going to do?”

”I... I don't know,” I admitted, ”I want to live in the moment. I don't want to worry about anything right now. I feel like I can finally spend time with Tony and I don't want to spend all that time worrying about the end of the summer.”

As I went back to our summerplace after eating breakfast at Tony's, I couldn't help but start worrying about the end of the summer. Vic had been absolutely right and I hated it. That summer was different, it was nothing like our previous summers. So what would happen once the summer was over? We would most definitely go our separate ways because Tony didn't want to date me. And probably we wouldn't see each other anymore after that because I had a feeling that it was our last summer together. Next year he would have plans or I would have a boyfriend or something.

And what about Kelsey, then? Had Tony honestly forgotten about her already? They had only broken up 24 hours earlier so how could he possibly be so okay after that? The more I thought about everything, the more distressed I got. I had only wanted to have a nice summer and have lots of sex with Tony and now everything was a big mess.

I didn't get to be alone for long when my doorbell rang. I got there and opened the door, seeing Tony standing there with some flowers in his hand. He handed them to me.

”What are these?” I mumbled and furrowed my eyebrows. I took the flowers and looked at them.

”Those are flowers, obviously,” he said and grinned like a fool.

”Yeah but why did you bring me these?” I asked and looked at him. His face fell slightly.

”Because I wanted to,” he shrugged, ”Do you want me to take them back? Don't you like them?”

”No, I do, but you've never brought me flowers. We're... We're not like that. We don't care about flowers and that kind of stuff,” I said quietly.

”Yeah, well, anyway, I came to ask you out. All of the guys and the girls are going out to eat tonight. Do you want to come with us? As my date?” he asked and smiled.

”Uh...”

”What? Is everything alright, Abby?” he asked and furrowed his eyebrows. He stepped closer and reached close to touch my cheek.

”Yeah, I just... I don't feel like going out,” I explained and shrugged.

What? Come on, Abby, everybody has their girlfriend with them. I don't want to be alone,” he said quietly.

”Yeah but that's the thing. I'm not your girlfriend. I don't belong there, right?”

”Has something happened? Did I do something stupid?” he asked.

”No, I just had a chat with Vic,” I mumbled quietly.

”What did he say to you?”

”He made me realize that it's pointless for me to keep seeing you like this. Nothing is ever going to happen between us,” I told him, ”What happens when the summer ends?”

”Well, uh – ”

”What am I to you, Tony?”

”What are you to me? You're... You're, uh... I don't know,” he finally admitted, ”You're really fucking important to me. But I don't know what you are to me.”

”Exactly. That's what I mean.”

”Well what am I to you, Abby?”

”You're like my best friend,” I mumbled, ”You mean a lot to me which is why this sucks.”

”Why are you suddenly like that? I thought you wanted to have fun,” he said.

”Yeah but me having fun like this leads to me falling in love with you which leads to me breaking my heart when the summer ends,” I said, ”And I have to worry about that. I have to.”

”Well fuck, Abby... So you're not coming out tonight with us?”

”No.”

”Are you sure? We can go out just as friends if you want to. You don't have to be my date,” he said,
”Please? Do it for me.”

”You don't understand my point of view in this,” I muttered, ”I'm actually terrified of falling in love with you because I know I'll get hurt. You don't want me to become your girlfriend but I want... I...”

”What?”

”I want you to become my boyfriend,” I finally muttered and snorted. I looked down at my feet and started biting my lip. My cheeks started burning as they slowly turned more and more red.

”Abby. Abby, look at me.”

”No.”

”Abby, please, just look at me. Please.”

”No.”

”Abby!” he exclaimed and I flinched. I finally looked at his face.

”Have I made you think that I would never want you to be my girlfriend?” he asked me.

”Well, yeah...”

”Then I'm sorry about that. I don't know why I would do that.”

”What's that supposed to mean, huh?”

”It's supposed to mean that maybe someday we could have a future together.”

”Wait, what?”

”You heard me. But as for now, I want to have a fun summer,” he told me, ”And when the summer ends, we can start thinking about what comes after.”

”Are you serious? But what about the fact that I'm younger than you? Doesn't that bother you anymore?”

”I don't think that age matters anymore,” he admitted, ”I don't want to be away from you, Abby, so nothing really matters anymore.”

”Are you admitting that you like me?” I whispered and started to grin like an idiot.

He let out a laugh and shrugged. But I knew he liked me. The way he looked at me gave him away.

”Maybe. But please be my date tonight. I don't want to be all alone,” he said and placed his hands on my shoulders, pulling me closer to him.

”Fine, okay... But only if you come over tonight. I don't want to sleep alone,” I told him.

”Deal.” He pulled me against his chest and squeezed me tightly.

Tony liked me.
