Right Here, Right Now

Chapter Three

The next morning, I woke up to Maddy jumping up and down on the foot of my bed, screaming something that I wasn't awake enough to understand. I swatted at her, but she leaped onto her own bed before I could hit anything and continued her bouncing.

"Mike wants to hang out again!" she squealed, finally collapsing on the bed.

'Why did I need to be woken up for this?" I mumbled, entirely to sleepy to listen to her cooing about Mike.

"Because he also said that Jaime won't shut up about you."

That definitely had my attention.

"I've already picked out your outfit." She said as she slid off her bed and darted into the bathroom. "Go down the hall, get yourself a Coke, and wake up. I'll be out of the shower soon."

As the door shut and the shower started, I pushed myself out of bed and inspected the clothes she had laid out for me. A crop top, a pair of shorts, and a bikini, none of which I was sure I packed. I sighed and picked them and my toiletries up. If Maddy's outfit was anything to go by, today would nothing if not uncomfortable.
Fourty three minutes later, I was running out of the hotel, trying to keep up with Maddy. The Coke in my hand was dangerously close to sloshing out, but she didn't seem to care. She was more interested in getting into the ferry, then into Mike's arms. Really, I couldn't blame her; they genuinely seemed to have chemistry.

"Where are we even meeting them at?" I asked as we boarded the boat. "I haven't even had breakfast yet."

"I'll get you a churro." she said, waving a hand at me dismissively.

I laughed and rolled my eyes. As the boat sped away from the dock, I could feel excitement growing in the pit of my stomach. Jaime would be waiting for us, for me, somewhere in the park, and I couldn't wait to see him.

To my surprise, the entire band was waiting for us at the other dock, in CityWalk. Maddy instantly ran into Mike's arms, while the rest of the guys and I stared back, a little uncomfortably. When I reached Jaime, his face lit up and he wrapped me into a bear hug.

"How'd you sleep?" he asked as he pulled back. As we walked, one of his hands slowly slid down my arm and touched my wrist, then moved away again.

"Great, until Maddy woke me up." I said with a nervous smile. Jaime had filled my stomach with butterflies at just that small touch. He grinned at me, showing off his dimples that I loved so much.

"She's just excited to see Mike again." he whispered in my ear. "Seems like they skipped the courting and went straight to the honeymoon phase."

When I looked over at Mike and Maddy, I saw what he meant; the pair was practically attached at the hip. Mike kept his arm around her waist, even though he was quite a bit taller than her, and she cuddled into his side, looking insanely happy. I was happy for her, but it also scared me a little bit. With her occupied with Mike, who would keep me company when Jaime lost interest, and who would stop me from making a fool of myself? Even with Jaime sticking closely to my side, I felt a pang of loneliness.

"I wanna go back to Honeyduke's." Maddy said as we got into the park. "Do you guys wanna come?"

I shrugged, and everyone except Mike shook their heads.

"Me and Tone were thinking of going to that Marvel place, to ride The Hulk." Vic said, right as my stomach started to growl.

Jaime laughed and said, "I can take you to get some food."

"Then it's settled," Maddy said quickly. "You guys'll get breakfast, me and Mike will go to Honeyduke's, and Vic and Tony will go ride shit. And break!"

Before I could speak up, Maddy grabbed Mike's hand and sped off. Tony and Vic said goodbye and ambled off, leaving Jaime and I standing awkwardly together.

"Where do you wanna eat? My treat," Jaime said.

I shook my head and said, "T-that's okay, I can buy my own-"

"Nope, I've already offered." he said as he took my hand and lead me further into the park.

We went to a pizza place in the Marvel area of the park, near where Vic and Tony were, and Jaime ordered us a large pizza and a couple of drinks. When we got our food, I tried to go slow, but before I knew it, I had eaten three slices and most of the pizza was gone. Jaime saw my embarrassed look and laughed.

"I like a girl who can hold her own at a dinner table." he said as he took a sip of his drink. "C'mon, there's only a couple slices left. Don't make me finish all this on my own."

I grinned as we downed the last two slices of pizza and tossed our remains in the trash. As we walked out, Jaime wove his fingers through mine.

"I'm really kinda sad that we're going to be leaving at the end of the week," Jaime said as we walked towards the next section of the park. "Hanging out with you guys yesterday was so much fun."

I smiled and quickly agreed. The day before was the first fun day I had had in a while, and it wasn't just because I was at Universal. The guys were funny and energetic all on their own.

"We'll keep in touch though, right?" Jaime asked; despite his sunglasses, I could tell that he was staring me straight in the eye.

"Of course," I said with a smile.

"Good," he smiled. "Best friends forever, right?"

He held out his pinky and grinned down at me; as I linked my little finger with his, part of me hoped that he didn't mean it 100%.

Notes

Sophie's POV

Well, this is the first chapter that wasn't in the first version. Hopefully it's still just as good. Took me long enough to finish it.

As always, leave me some reviews and shit. I love getting feedback!
