The First Punch
Sleep
Tony's POV
"Daddy?" Tyler asked behind me.
"Come here little man." I said holding my arms open.
"Is mommy going to wake up?" He asked quietly looking at Maison who was in the hospital bed with Spencer beside her fast asleep.
"Yeah she's going to wake up." I said looking at him smiling.
"What happen?" He asked.
"Well a mean man came up and tried to get you guys but she wouldn't let him so he hurt her instead of you." I said almost breaking down.
"Why?" He asked.
"Because she loves you this much." I said hugging him close and kissing his forehead and held him close as I silently cried holding him.
The truth is, is that Maison was in a coma. James beat her so much she had internal bleeding in her brain. She has been asleep for two weeks now.
"I want momma back." Tyler cried in my shoulder.
"I do to little man. I do to." I replied crying along with him and rubbed his back until he was asleep.
I needed my best friend back. I need the love of my life back. I need the mother of my children back. I just need Maison back.
I held onto Tyler for dear life and just cried until I fell asleep.
"Momma! Wake up momma please." I woke up to Spencer crying shaking Maison.
"Spencer. Baby come here." I said quietly and opened my arms open for her.
"Daddy. Mommy isn't talking. I want her to say goodnight to me." She said pouting and then put her hands to her eyes and started crying.
"Baby girl please don't cry. Daddy's here. Everything is going to be okay. I promise." I told her picking her up.
She climbed up and cried into my chest. I got up and put Tyler onto the couch on the other side of the room and put something up so he did roll off and sat back down with Spencer and just let her cry into my chest while rubbed her back.
My kids are even broken without Maison here. It was breaking my heart fast. Every sob I hear from Spencer makes my heart break. Every cry I hear from Tyler my eyes get watery. I can't deal with this anymore.
Spencer kept crying and saying daddy over and over again and kept shaking her head.
"Baby girl." I said almost breaking down for the fourth time tonight.
I looked up and saw Jess there with the rest of the guys and I just looked down and broke down once again and just cried holding into my daughter once again.
It wasn't even that much that Maison was in a coma. It was that I couldn't talk to her about anything. It was that my kids have cried themselves to sleep for the past week.
I felt someone walk over and take Spencer away from me and hold into them and someone else help me up out the chair and hug me closely.
"She's going to be fine." Jaime said patting my back.
"I know she is. It's just that my kids can't fall asleep unless they cry themselves to sleep! They are so broken and I don't know what to do." I cried into my hands sitting back down.
"You fixed Maison. I'm pretty sure you can fix your own children." Vic said sitting on the floor next to me.
I took a deep breath and nodded.
Just then the heart monitor started to go crazy and I looked up at Maison and saw her face in pain and was shaking her head and started choking on the tube down her throat.
Nurses rushed in and rushed everyone out except for me and a sleeping Tyler.
"She's waking up." Said one nurse.
"Now Mr. Perry. Your wife not remember what happened heck she might not remember you or your kids. Just give her time. It's her mind blocking out what happened." Said a nurse.
I just nodded and watched Maison's blue eyes open and look at me.
"Tony." She said and started crying.
I broke down and ran over to her and kissed her forehead and nose and lips and hands.
"Where are Tyler and Spencer?" She asked.
"Tyler is asleep over there and Spencer is with Jess and Jaime." I said relieved that she remembered everything.
"Can I see them?" She asked tearing up again.
I nodded and got Tyler.
"Daddy? Why?" He asked half asleep.
"Mommy is awake." I said simply and his eyes flew open and he ran over to her bed and waited for me to lift him up and he crawled over to her and hugged her around her neck.
She started crying an held him close to her.
I walked outside and saw Spencer still crying.
"Hey. Baby girl guess what?" I said rubbing her back.
"Mommy?" She asked simply.
I nodded and she held her arms out and I picked her up and took her to Maison and let her crawl over to her and hug her arm and cry while Maison rubbed her back and shushed her.
When the twins were finally asleep Jaime and Jess took them and said goodbye and took then to their house to have a sleepover with Samantha.
"Tony what happened? All I was having were nightmares. I have no idea what happened." She asked me.
"Um well, we were in Atlanta and you went to the bus to put the twins down for the nighttime and the next thing I know Jess is running towards me telling me some guy was all in your face and I knew right then and there it was James. When I got outside he started talking about the twins and you started telling him for him to beat you up or kill you and he said something and he started punching you so I run over and throw him to the ground and start punching him back. That's pretty much it." I told the whole story without emotion. I have told the story almost fifty times to the cops and to fans who would randomly visit me outside while I got some fresh air.
"Tony. You know this is just going to be one of those things where I can't fall asleep without you right." She asked me.
"Of course. That's why I'm here. That's why I married you. Is to fix you. No matter what happens. I will always find ways to fix you." I said smiling sadly.
She smiled back and started to cry into her hands.
I got up and scooted her over and she got on her side and put her head in my chest and just cried.
I just held her close to me and rubbed her back while she cried. I did this until she fell asleep and once she fell asleep I fell fast asleep right after her.
