A Night We Won't Forget

Live in the Stars

Eleftheria’s POV

“I like you,” Jack slurred as he draped an arm over my shoulder. “You’re my drunk talking buddy and I think that you and Vic should have babies.”

“Thanks Jack,” I laughed, “that means a lot.”

“I’m serious. Like cross my heart serious, El.”

I rolled my eyes and took another sip of my drink. I was standing side stage of Pierce the Veil’s set with Jack, waiting for their moment to pull their prank for the last day of the tour. They were going to be playing some sort of sack-toss game. Jack asked me to join in on the prank with them, and although I wasn’t too sure about it, I agreed. I was afraid of being on the stage, even though nobody really knew who I was.

“Do the fans know about you and Vic?” Alex asked, coming up on the other side of me. He was holding several hacky-sack looking bags and a beer in his other hand.

I shrugged. “We just barely became official. There’s no pictures of us or anything so it’s not like people would know.”

“You’d be surprised,” Jack chimed in. “The fans are very sneaky. And especially since Vic pulled you up on stage, man, there’s gotta be a video or something out there about that!”

Alex nodded in agreement. I opened my mouth to respond, but Alex grabbed my arm and we all rushed out onto the stage with our hacky-sacks. Jack dragged a large, wooden target on the ground and set it up just behind Jaime. The boys started their toss. Josh came up beside me and placed a hand on my back as a greeting.

It was amazing to feel so accepted by such a diverse group of guys. A group of guys that had traveled the world and seen so many different things in their life. I wished I could do that.

Vic turned around and began laughing when he noticed what we were all doing. During an instrumental part of the song, Vic walked over to me and nodded toward my drink. I fed him a sip of my alcohol and he gulped it down while making a sour face.

“Strong,” he mouthed as he continued to strum his guitar. He puckered his lips out to me a few times, telling me that he wanted a kiss.

I looked to the crowd. Most of them were jumping and head-banging, but the first front rows were staring and laughed at the prank. And a lot of them had their eyes on Vic. Surely Vic knew this, he was used to being on stage every night. My heart fluttered when I realized how real this all was.

I leaned in and gave him a strong kiss on his lips. He pulled away and licked his lips with a goofy grin spread across his face. He turned back to the crowd and made his way back over the microphone to sing.

Jack ended up leaving the stage rather quickly because he was too drunk to function. Rian sat right in front of Vic and stared at him through large eyes, as if he was in wonder or in love. Vic got down on one knee and sang to Rian, each of them trying so hard to fight back the laughter. Josh made his way over there as well, but I stood back by the drum set next to Alex. He looked over to me and shot me a wink before making funny kissy faces.

I rolled my eyes and pushed him a bit before taking a drink from my cup. I had a decent buzz going, and I knew that I needed to slow down if I wanted to be able to keep up with the drinking that was going to occur after their set.

After they finished playing, all of the bands came out to hug each other while the crowd screamed. They took pictures, hugged, shared some drinks, and celebrated the end of the tour. I remained on the side of the stage because I felt that it was not my place to impose on their moment of celebration, but just before they could take a large group picture, Vic came running over to me.

“Come on!” he shouted over the crowd. “I want you to be in the picture!”

I tried to fight it at first, but Vic’s grip was not going to let me go. I gave in and followed after him. The crowd staring as Vic’s arm wrapped around my shoulders. That’s when the fans officially found out about us.

Hours later, I was sitting at the back of the All Time Low bus since they were the ones holding the party. Tony was sitting to my right and Jack was to my left, each of them teaching me how to use instagram, but it was useless. Their drunken instructions mixed with my mushed brain was not helping me to learn anything. The only thing I learned was how to use a hashtag.

“She needs followers!” Jack exclaimed as he pulled out his own phone. “Take a picture with me!” Jack held out his camera and snapped a picture of the two of us together.

Tony did the same and each of them tagged me in the picture.

“You’ll get followers soon enough. Then you can post those adorable pictures of you and Vic being all cute and kissing and shit and the fans will hate you, it’ll be awesome.”

“Why do they have to have me?” I asked with a laugh. “Maybe they will like me.”

“A lot of the fans will hate you because they think that they have some claim over Vic. It happens to all of us,” Tony explained. “But there will be a lot that will actually like you, so don’t worry. Plus, we like you and that’s all that matters.”

“Aw, I’m glad you guys like me. I like you guys, too,” I said as I slung my arms over each of their shoulders.

“It looks like your man wants you,” Tony whispered into my ear.

I looked up to see Vic eyeing me from the other side of the bus. He was gently biting his lip as he looked at me from up and down. I blushed furiously at the way his eyes slowly traveled from my combat boots up to my ripped skinny jeans and then lingered on my see-through, cheetah print blouse. He stared at my bandeau top for a moment before making his way to my face. He stared at my lips as I gently ran my tongue over them.

“Can you guys stop eye-fucking each other and just go actually fuck?” Jack nearly shouted. He threw his arms up in the air while Tony gently pushed me off of the seat. “Make sure you text me, El! We need to keep in touch!” Jack called after me as I began to walk toward Vic.

Without a word, Vic grabbed my hand and led me off of the bus. We stumbled down the steps quickly, and as soon as we heard the door shut behind us, Vic had me pinned up against the side of the bus. He dropped his drink to the floor so he could use both of his hands to lift my legs up and around his waist.

My arms were wrapped around his neck with my fingers pulling on his hair. Our tongues met and battled for a good five minutes before I finally pulled his neck back so I could bite along his jawline. I don’t know what it was, but I loved his jawline. As I continued to bite and suck down to his neck, Vic let out a few groans. My hips gently began to roll against his body.

“Fuck,” he muttered. He set me down gently. “Come on,” he grabbed my hand again and began to weave me through the few buses and around the side of the venue.

“Here?” I asked, looking around the alley. “What about your bus?”

“Mike already called dibs on it,” Vic explained as he began to kiss me again. He released my lips quickly and began to kiss down my neck. “You look so beautiful tonight,” he commented as he gently pulled on my shirt.

“Vic,” I whined as his left hand trailed under my shirt and began to make small circles just about my pant line.

“Hmm?” he mumbled against my neck.

“Wh-what’s going to happen when we go back to San Diego?”

He stopped his kissing and looked into my eyes. “We’ll figure it out, baby. Don’t worry. I care about you so much – I won’t let anything get in between us. Not the band. Not your schooling. Nothing. We’ll figure it out, I promise.”

“Okay,” I breathed out gently. “You can go back to what you were doing now,” I said as I bit my lip.

“God, you drive me nuts when you bite your lip,” Vic growled. He began to unbutton his pants. Once they were unzipped and unbuttoned, he reached down to my own. He pulled them down along with my underwear. “Let’s see, how are we going to do this.” He placed his index finger to his chin as he tried to think of a way to make this work. We were in a dirty alley, which wasn’t exactly romantic, but I really didn’t care at this point. I just wanted him.

I was starting to get restless just when he quickly turned me around and pushed me up against the wall. My arms went up to support my body against the venue building. He grabbed onto my hips and pulled them out just a bit before his fingers ran under me, tracing over my center and then, finally, he pushed himself into me.

I let out a loud moan from the angle we were at. He wasn’t going in very deep, but the angle and the way my legs were tightly pushed together made the sensation radiate throughout my body.

“Fuck,” Vic moaned out as he began to pick up his pace. The harder he went, the more my body was being pushed into the wall.

“Wait,” I said in between pants. “This isn’t working.”

He pulled himself out of me and I turned myself around to stare at Vic. I looked over his body and then bent down to completely remove my pants and shoes. “Fuck it,” I commented as I pushed my clothing aside. I kept my shirt on though.

I lifted my left leg up so it was over Vic’s shoulder. He grabbed onto his and his eyes went wide at how flexible I was. His other hand wrapped around my waist. He pulled me up against him, pushing himself inside of me as he did so.

“Much better,” I moaned out as Vic buried his head into my neck.

“Mmm, yeah,” he groaned as he began to move.

It felt like we were in the alley for an eternity screaming each other’s names, cursing, and moaning. Our screams echoed in the night sky and the sound of our skin hitting rang throughout the alley. But neither of us cared. We just wanted to be together, as close as possible.

After my third orgasm, Vic finally came. I quickly got dressed again and he laced our fingers together before we headed back over to the All Time Low bus. Before going inside, Vic pulled me into him for another kiss. But one that was much more passionate and loving. He pecked my lips a few times before pulling me in for a strong embrace.

“Ever since I saw you in that bar I knew you were different,” he said against my hair. “I don’t know what it was about you, but I knew that I needed to know you. And I’m so glad I know you now.”

“Me too, Vic. Me too.” I breathed against his ear. I felt him shiver under my touch.

“Hey can you guys stop fucking and get back to the party!” Tony’s voice came bursting through one of the windows. His sentence was interrupted by a hiccup and a few of his words were slurred into one, long word.

Vic and I laughed before pulling apart and walking back onto the bus. Alex shot me a wink and Jaime immediately came to my side to pull me into a big hug.

“El, I think you are so pretty and I think that you and Vic will be the happiest ever after together,” he slurred.

“Oh Jaime,” I laughed. “You’re wasted.”

“Yeah, but wasted thoughts are sober words!”

I couldn’t help but laugh at his sentence. “I think you’re confused,” I said while patting him on the head.

“But it’s the truth,” he smiled and shot me a wink before turning back over to the rest of the party.

Vic’s POV

We arrived back in San Diego safely and I brought Eleftheria straight to my house with me. I was really unsure of what was going to happen next with us. I knew that it was far too soon to try and move in together, and that would be too much to ask her to do since I would be gone most days out of the year anyway. None of that mattered though. All that mattered was that I had a little bit of time off from touring that I could enjoy with her.

We ended up sitting on my couch and watching movies all day. I finally got her to watch Coraline and a few other great movies that she had never even heard of. Halfway through our third movie, we got bored and started talking to each other instead.

“My grandmother used to make the most delicious cookies. She passed the recipe down to me, but I still haven’t tried to make them. I’m afraid that I won’t do them much justice, and I don’t want to disappoint her cookie legacy,” Eleftheria laughed.

We were talking about her grandmother since she had been the one to raise her. She didn’t know her parents since they died when she was really young, and she didn’t grow up with any siblings. It was always just her and her grandparents and a few of her cousins that were practically like older brothers to her.

“She was so wonderful, Vic,” she let out a sigh as she stared off a bit, thinking of her grandmother. “She would have loved you.”

“Really?” I asked, feeling somewhat proud.

“Of course! She would tell me that I should marry you and make you fat with food,” El laughed and then began to explain. “My grandmother always believed in spoiling your lover with delicious foods. It’s a Greek thing, really. We love food.”

“So do Mexicans,” I laughed. “In fact, you should stay for dinner tonight. I bet my parents are going to cook up something really good since it’s our first day back from tour. And we’ll probably barbeque this weekend. My dad can barbeque some mean carne asada.”

“Oh, I’d love to stay. I’m actually kind of hungry right now,” she blushed a bit. I reached up and gently ran my fingertips over her left cheek. “I don’t know why I’m blushing.”

“It’s fucking adorable as hell,” I commented. I cupped her face and brought her in for a gentle kiss and pulled away just as my brother walked into the room.

“Do we have to go back to high school rules? No sex on the couch, Vic. At least not while anybody is home,” Mike smirked as he walked past us and toward the kitchen. “I’m starving!” he shouted.

“So am I,” Eleftheria announced as she sat back and gently held onto her stomach.

“Vic!” my mother said suddenly as she barged in through the front door. “Feed your woman!”

Eleftheria laughed and quickly kissed my cheek before getting up to help my mom with the groceries that were in her hands. “Are you cooking tonight? I would love to help you,” El said as they disappeared into the kitchen.

Mike walked over to the couch and plopped down beside me. “She’s great, man,” Mike said quietly. “Mom loves her. She’s going to let her cook with her. Mom never lets anyone help her cook.”

I couldn’t help but smile widely at Mike’s commented. Everything was just so perfect. Almost too perfect. I knew that things would feel fine now, but soon enough life would come back at us in full force. And I was ready for whatever life was going to throw at us. I was ready to face all of it with her.

-

Hours later and we were sitting in the backyard staring up at the stars while wrapped up in a blanket in the grass. We were each sipping on some Hot Chocolate that Eleftheria had made for all of us. It was the best hot chocolate I had ever tasted – she said it was her grandmother’s secret recipe.

“When is your next tour?” she asked quietly as she nuzzled herself closer into my side. I wrapped my right arm around her shoulders and pulled her up against my side while my left hand held my mug.

“The end of the month,” I said with a sigh. “I know it’s not a lot of time off, but at least it’s something.”

Eleftheria was silent for a moment. “Where are you going?”

“Europe. Then after that we’re home for a little bit and then heading out to South America.” I felt horrible saying all of this. But this was my life, and if she wanted to be with me, this was how it was always going to be. No matter what – I would be constantly touring and away from home. “When do go back to school?”

An idea washed over me. Eleftheria said that she always wanted to travel. She wanted to study different cultures and psychology and travel. If I could get her to agree to come on tour with me, it would be perfect for both of us. We would never have to be without each other and she could get to experience the world.

“The end of August, why?”

“Come with me,” I said as I turned to face her. She sat up a bit and looked at me with wide eyes. “Come tour the world with me.”

“I don’t know, Vic. That’s kind of huge, isn’t it? I wouldn’t want to be a burden,” she said as she bit back the biggest smile.

“You could never be a burden to me,” I said. “I-I love you, Eleftheria.” I said her name in the best accent I could muster.

She looked at me with tears forming in her eyes and a smile spread across her gorgeous face. “Vic,” she said softly. “Okay.”

“Okay?”

“Okay, I’ll go with you,” she smiled widely. “You really think I could stand to be away from you?”

I pressed my lips firmly against hers and she let out a content sigh as she smiled into the kiss. It was crazy to think that our entire relationship started on a lie – a stupid lie that should have never been said, but looking back now, I don’t think I would have done anything differently. Because I have Eleftheria here in my arms, and that was all that mattered to me.

From the moment I saw this Greek Goddess staring at me in the bar, I knew that there was something about her that I wanted – needed – in my life. She made me happier and she had taught me that I can be accepted as me.

I was so convinced that there were two different sides to me: The Vic who was the singer of Pierce the Veil, and the Vic who was a normal Mexican dude that grew up in San Diego. But she showed me that I was Vic: Mexican singer of Pierce the Veil who grew up in San Diego. I didn’t need to hide myself from anybody, especially not Eleftheria. She accepted me, even though I had lied to her in the beginning. She accepted me even though she hardly knew anything about me from the start. And she still accepted me after learning everything about me.

She pulled away from the kiss and looked into my eyes. The moon lit up her eyes and her gold nose ring glistened. She scrunched up her nose as she smiled. “I love you, too, Vic,” she said finally.

My heart lifted in my chest, and I could have sworn that in that moment I was invincible. I felt so filled with joy that I could just up and fly away, carrying Elefterhia away with me so we could forever live in the stars. All I ever wanted in my life was to love someone so much and to have them love me. And she did. Eleftheria loved me, and, boy, did I love her.

FIN.
