Coming to an End
“Come on guys stop crying, I’ll be back in a year.”
All of my friends and family came to LAX to see me off.
“A year is a long time Ker Bear. What am I going to do a year without you?” Mike cried.
“Oh Mike, you’ll be fine. You’re going to be touring. Really guys please stop crying. If anyone should be it should be me.”
“That’s because you’re heartless,” Mitch said.
I laughed, “Well I sure can’t deny that one.”
“If you find anymore hotties, send them my way.” Ashley said hugging me.
“Don’t worry I will.”
Emily and George were the next to hug me goodbye.
“Blow those stuck up rich kids away.” George said.
“Good luck sweetie.” Emily said.
“Thanks Em, and I will George you know I will.”
Final call for flight F5622 Cambridge, Massachusetts.
I sighed, “Okay guys I need to go before they leave me.”
My parents were the last to hug me, I was going to miss them so much.
“Love you guys.”
“We love you too; make sure you call us as soon as you land.” Dad said hugging me even tighter.
“I will.”
I picked up my bag, with my face full of tears. I wasn’t sure if I could do this anymore. I don’t think I could leave all the people I love the most behind and be so far from them. Too bad Vic couldn’t make it. I really wanted to see him.
“Well I’ll s-.”
“KERI!”
I looked down the hall past everyone to see Vic running towards us. I dropped my bag and met him halfway.
“I’m sorry I’m late.”
“I don’t care; you’re here now that’s all that matters.”
“I’m going to miss you.”
“Me too.”
“This isn’t goodbye though, more like an I’ll see you later.”
I smiled through my tears, “Yup.”
“Before you go, you need to take this.”
Vic placed his lucky pick in my hand.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.”
I pulled Vic to me with what would be our last kiss, “I love and I’m sorry for everything.”
“I love you too Keri. Now go.”
I sucked it up and finally got onto the plane. Everyone might think that this was the end of our journey, but this is only the beginning. We have so much more waiting for us. There is so much more to come.
