A War in My Head

I walked to music, unsure of everything that happened over the weekend. Firstly, I haven't heard from Taylor so she's definitely pissed off and secondly Vic hasn't spoke to me since my dumb "your eyes are pretty" moment. I'm so stupid.

I walked through the door of my music class and seen Tony sitting up at the back of the class, alone. I smiled at myself as I walked up to him. It was nice to know I have friends now. I sat down and said "Hi" to Tony. He looked at me and smiled softly.

"Hey Lynn" He was so quiet and gentle.

"How was your weekend?" I asked him. He thought for a second.

"It was okay. I went to look at guitars with Jaime" He grinned.

"How did that go?" I questioned.

"Yeah it was good. I almost have enough for a new fender" He perked up.

"I'm glad. I hope you get it!" I smiled at him.

"It almost makes working at the shitty diner worth it" He sighed, pushing his hair out of his face. "So uh, how did Friday go?" He asked randomly.

"With Vic?" I asked. He nodded slowly, his cheeks turning a slight shade of pink.

"It went fine why?" I laughed, nervously.

"Oh good" He smiled and turned his attention back to the guitar on his knee.

"Nah Tony, you can't just ask that then shut up!" I shook my head.

He stopped and sighed loudly, the loudest I've ever heard Tony.

"Okay, I think Vic has a crush on you" He said casually, as if it was no big deal.

"Wait what?" I looked at him but he avoided eye contact. "Tony what do you mean?"

"I don't know he just called me up and was all 'I had a great time and I like her. She sang for me etc' so I honestly don't know" He sighed.

"He told you about me singing, wow" I laughed with embarrassment.

"It's okay Lynn, I think Vic has really pretty eyes too" He burst out laughing. Oh my God, I'm gonna kill Vic.

I covered my face with my hands. "I'm so gonna kill him"

"Don't be embarrassed, it's not that bad" He consoled me. "I've said much worse to girls" He laughed.

"Wow now everything is really awkward" I laughed nervously.

"How so?" Tony raised an eyebrow.

"Well, it just is" I sighed.

"Would you ever be his girlfriend if he asked?" Tony struck up.

"I don't know, honestly man I just don't know. It's all so complicated. I don't know if I even like him like that and if I did there's obviously something between him and Harley that I just don't wanna get in between. I don't know man" I explained. He nodded in understanding.

"I understand. I wouldn't either, it's so complicated what's going on with them. They're hooking up every weekend then never mention it" He sighed. "I don't think its healthy what they do but that's not my issue" He shrugged.

"Oh well" I sighed again. I walked over and picked up a guitar. "Have you picked your final song yet?" I asked Tony.

"Not yet, you?" He replied. I shook my head no as I sat down next to him again.

"I have no idea" I laughed.

"Are you going to prom?" He asked.

"Are you asking me?" I joked. He grinned and put his head down. "I dunno I have no date or dress" I laughed.

"Would you go with me if I asked?" He lifted his head up. I raised my eyebrows. "Not like as a date but because we both don't have dates and it'd be good together" He rambled, it was actually really cute.

"Yes Tony, I'll go to prom with you" I laughed. He smiled happily at me.

"Thank you for asking, it's nice that you'd think of me like that" I laughed. He continued playing guitar and I did so too.

After music I had history, and if I'm honest after Friday night with Vic I can honestly say I'll never go near history again. Well, willingly. I'm so damn stupid and he is obviously telling people about my dumb moment, thankfully Tony is nice and made it funny.

I walked into history and up to my usual spot next to Vic. He sauntered in 3 minutes later and slammed his books down, he seemed angry. "Are you okay?" I asked. He looked at me and shrugged.

"I'm totally fine" He mumbled. I raised an eyebrow and he just turned his attention to his books.

We got to work pretty quickly and not much was said between us. Until we were packing up to go to our next class.

"So I heard Tony asked you to prom" He blurted out. I looked at him with confusion.

"Yeah?" I asked. "Wait he literally just asked how'd you know?"

"He told Jaime, and we all know Jaime is the biggest blabber mouth ever" He shrugged and walked past me.

"Oh okay" I sighed. I walked out the room behind him.

"That'll be nice for you" He swung around. "You'll have a great night" He smirked down at me.

"I'm sure you and Harley will have an equally great night" I dropped then walked off. I didn't even give him time to react, but his face said it all.
