"You've got all your things?" My mom said as we stood infront of the gate to my flight.

"Yeah I think so" I replied. I felt like I was going to throw up. I was far from ready to be going back to San Diego.

"Sweetheart you're going to be fine" She pulled me into a hug and we stayed like that for a few minutes."As soon as you land I want you to call him. He hasn't given up on you baby, I know it"

"It's been two days since he called" I frowned at her.

"And it's been two weeks since you've answered his calls. Why should he call anymore?" She smirked.
"You're a fighter baby, you'll get him back eventually. This whole thing is just silly. It was a fight over something said because he was drunk and you were tired. You guys will be able to fix this" She pushed a piece of my hair behind my ear just as they called my flight. "I love you Victoria."

"I love you too mommy" I hugged her one more time before walking towards the gate and getting on the plane.

Mike's POV

I glanced at my ringing phone and watched Victoria's name glow across the screen. I tugged on my lip ring with my teeth, deciding whether to answer it or not.

"Who is it baby?" Marilese groaned, rolling over in my bed. Her bare, tanned, skin looked even darker against my light blue sheets.

"Marilese I think you should go" I said getting up and putting clothes on.

"Excuse me?" She shot up and stared at me with wide eyes.

"This was a mistake, you need to leave." I walked out of my bedroom and out onto the balcony, lighting a cigarette once I got there.


"Don't you ever breathe? It's like you always have a cigarette hangin outta your mouth" Victoria giggled, taking it from my lips and placing it on hers.

"Woaaaaah get outta here you thief!" I laughed taking it from her lips and putting it to mine again. She blew the smoke into my face and grinned at me. I looked down at her and wrapped my arms around her waist. "You know, you're awfully short for a nineteen year old"

"Or maybe you're just abnormally tall" She snaked her arms around my neck and pursed her lips, asking for a kiss, since she couldn't reach on her own. I pressed my lips against hers as the waves crashed around our ankles. "You are my everything Michael Christopher Fuentes" She murmured against my lips.

"And you're mine Victoria Alexandria Giorianni"

I was pulled out of the flashback by the sound of the front door slamming shut, signalling Marilese's departure. I pulled my phone from my pocket and dialed Victoria's number, praying she would pick up.
My heart almost stopped when her tiny voice rang through the speaker.

"Mike?" She said nervously.

"Victoria, I'm so sorry baby" I didn't even think about what I was going to her when she answered, it just poured from my mouth.

"No, Mike, I'm sorry" She sighed before continuing. "Do you think we could talk? Like, could you come over? I kind of need some help cleaning this place up too..." I could almost picture her biting her bottom lip.

"Yeah, I'll be there in like fifteen minutes" I smiled and practically ran out to my car, shoving the keys into the ignition and speeding down the road. I parked in the nearest spot to her aparment when I got to the complex she and Casey lived in. I went up to the door and knocked twice.

"It's open!" She called from inside the apartment. I turned to doorknob and stepped inside, hearing glass crunching beneath my shoes.

"Holy crap, what did you do to the place?" I said in awe.

"I got a little angry after I got home last week" She frowned at me, sweeping up what was left of the glass near me. She had her lips pursed in concentration as she did it, making me want to kiss her and never stop.

" I can tell" I let out a small laugh and bent down to help her. She gratefully handed me the dust pan and ran off to pick things up from the living room floor, mainly my things.

"That's enough for now I guess right?" She smiled at me, I knew it was fake. I could tell she wanted to rip my face off, but what I had to tell her was only going to make it worse. "Come sit" I sat on the small love seat and she sat on the couch positioned next to it. "Mike, I really messed up the other day. I'm so sorry about everything, I never meant to slap you and I-"

"I slept with Marilese last night" I blurted out.

Victoria's POV

"Mike, I really messed up the other day. I'm so sorry about everything, I never meant to slap you and I-"

"I slept with Marilese last night" He blurted out, cutting me off. I didn't know what to do. I felt all the color drain from my face and my expression fell. It was like someone just shot me in the face. So I did the only thing I could without losing him.

"Maybe we should just be friends?..." I said softly while playing with my hands in my lap. I'd never seen him looked so heartbroken.

"W-what?" He stuttered.

"Yeah it's probably best right? We could just go back to being like we used to. We could have sleep overs and stuff and you could be with Marilese, act like nothing changed?" I suggested. I didn't even know what I was saying. This was the opposite of what I wanted, but I needed to put my walls up after what he just said to me. I probably would have cried but I was out of tears from the past five days.

"Victoria I don't want to be-"

"So Prizoner of Azkaban?" I said quietly as I walked up to the dvd rack next to my tv.

"Are you even going to listen to me?" He looked like he was going to cry. I knew I was too, but I just turned back to the dvds.

"Goblet of Fire it is" I said putting the dvd in and sitting back on my couch.

I don't think either of us watched the movie. We just sat there, thinking about what just happened. Wishing I wasn't so stubborn and just let Mike know how much I wanted him. The affect of Mike sleeping with Marilese hadn't sunk in yet for me, and I'm positive that when it did, things were going to be uglier then ever.
