The ride home was quiet except for the soft little snores coming from dawn who was buckled securely in her seat. I leaned my head against the window watching the signs and other cars pass by. I turned my head slightly when I felt a hand cover mine, the warmth of it being comfort I needed.
"What did he tell you Em, you've been quiet the entire ride." Vic asked concern filling his voice. I shook my head, shrugging it off,
"It's nothing vic really i guess I'm just overthinking. Vic nodded his head slightly before staring straight ahead once more. He squeezed my hand slightly,
"do you regret it?" Vic questioned his eyes still trained ahead.
I turned to face him, " I could never regret anything I've done with you Vic." A small smile could seen grace over his lips as I squeezed his hand back in reassurance.

The rest of the way was filled with silence but a comfortable peaceful one. We pulled up to my home, vic coming to a stop. I turned to him giving him a hug squeezing a bit earning a throaty chuckle from the man. I thanked him once more, before sliding out and grabbing dawn from her seat. I waved as Vic drove away a sleeping dawn slobbering on my shoulder. I stroked her hair as we walked up the pathway to the house. I pulled the keys from my purse turning the locks and stepping inside, shutting the door with a kick of my foot. I locked it, walking down the hallway passing dawns room. I found my way through the dark, pulling back the sheets of my bed, laying dawn down enveloping her within the soft quilt. I kissed her forehead my lips lingering,
"I love you dawn fuentes never forget that." I climbed over to my side deciding against removing my clothes the sheets and pillow screaming my name. As soon as my head met the white fluff I was sent into a peaceful slumber.

"momma, momma, momma, MAMA ake up!" I shot up my eyes widening looking around. Dawn sat before me, my phone in her tiny hands. I looked closer to see vics contact picture on my screen. I slid the green button over grabbing the phone and putting it to my ear.
"Hello"
" Jesus finally em, hey we're about to take off for tour and well we came to a decision last minute." Vic said. I raised a brow his voice being laced with suspicion.
"and what exactly would that be?" I questioned. I could imagine Vic phone to his ear scratching the back of his neck as he paced almost looking for the right way to word his question.
"well it has been decided by the whole band and crew that you and dawn should join us for the first two weeks of tour." My eyes widened,
"excuse me what?! Did you just mean to tell me were joining you on tour?" There was a silence on the line before the answer came "well yeah so what do you say?"

"uhm.."
