The Reason

By the next morning, dad and I had aleady packed and were ready to leave. The rest of the guys decided that, even though the band would be incomplete without dad, they would stay and tour to help out all the other roadies for all the other bands. I was sitting in the back lounge while dad was on the phone with grandma and grandpa. About ten minutes later dad walked in.

"Okay Kitz, you ready?" He said. I nodded my head and grabed my backpack and suitcase and walked with him to the front of the bus. The guys we at the front saying goodbye to dad before Tony walked up and hugged me.

"We'll see you when you come back, yeah Kitz? But until then we'll keep contact, okay?"

"Okay." I smiled before he kissed my forehead. Tony stepped over to the side so that Jaime could say his goodbye.

"Don't be sad Kitzie! You'll still be back to finish the tour!" He smiled.
"I hpoe so." I said. Jaime's response was to hug me harder and pet my haed.
"Of course you'll be back!"

Then it was time to say bye to uncle Mike. We hugged for a long time before he spoke.
"Kitzie, I want to make sure you're okay so I'll call every night to make sure everything is okay. If you have any problems, you know you can call me at anytime, okay?"
I hugged him and nodded my head before dad told us we had to go. I walked off the bus and shut the door before walking over the entrance of the venue we were at. Apparently, the cab was late, so dad took advantage and left to the bathroom leaving me alone. I sat on the steps infront of the door before I heard panting and someone screaming. I turned my head to the right and saw Alex running towards me.

"Jesus Alex! My cab isn't even here yet! I'm not going anywhere!" I laughed as he caught his breath.
"Sorry... Where's Vic?"
"He went to the bathrom."
"We need to tell him... the thing." He murmmered.
"I don't think we should tell him right now... he's kinda stressed out with my mom and everything.." I said quietly.
"Are you sure? The sooner we tell him, the sooner you'll feel better." He questioned.
"I'm sure. We can tell himw when I come back. But i'll try to stop. I promise."
"Okay... But i'll check in with you evry now and again to make sure you're okay and just n case you need to talk about something. Okay?"
"Okay. Thanks Alex." I said hugging him before dad came out of the door behind us.

"Hey Alex!" My dad greeted him.
"Hey Vic." Alex smiled. We shared small talk before the cab finally arrived and we put our bags in the trunk and hugged Alex goodbye.

The flight home was incredibly short and before I knew it, I was unlocking the door to the house I knew oh-so-well. I trudged my lazy butt up the stairs and crashed into my bed face-first. Now comes the real trouble: mom. I don't want to see her now. How could she do that to us? I groaned before I sat up and took off my jacket. As I pulled it off, I heard a small crackling sound come from the pocket. I unzipped it and saw a small, folded piece of paper. I opened it and read the messy handwriting I could only conclude as Alex's words.

Little Kitzie,
I wanted to write you something to let you know that you shouldn't feel so lonely. Even though I'm not there with you, I want you to know that you're never alone. Although things get really tough, keep pulling through because things WILL get better. Please remember that.

P.s I had Rian draw you a zebra to make you feel better.

I giggled at the very poorly drawn Zebra at the bottom of the page before placing the small letter inside the drawer next to my bed. I make a mental note to thank Rian and Alex later. But first, a nap.
