The Reason

I stare down at the gift in awe.

"I'm taking you with me on Warped Tour so that we can spend a bit more time together, okay?" He smiles.

I'm absolutely astonished with what's going on. I'm too in shock that I can't say anything, so I just hug my dad. Judging by my dad chuckling, I'm guessing he knows that I'm excited. I never thought I'd be going on tour with my dad.

"And!" he starts, "We leave the day after tomorrow, so your mom is gonna take you shopping tomorrow to make sure you have everything you need while we're touring, okay?"

"Okay!"

He kisses the top of my head then I go back upstairs. I'm so excited! I hope this will be good way to forget about all the crap in my life.. Sarah... Anna.. The bullying, Family problems, self harm. Everything. And maybe being around positive people will help me become a positive person also.

The next morning I wake up at 9 and get ready. As I finish up doing my hair I hear my dad call me from downstairs.

"Kitzie! Your mom's here!"

"I'll be right down!"

I Put on my vans and head downstairs and see my mom. Wow.. she looks different. Last time I saw her she was wearing black leggings, a tan tank top and a cardigan. Now she's wearing black ripped skinny jeans, an Attila tee and she has her hair in two low pigtails.

"Ready to go?"

"Yeah!"


We start off by going to the mall. We go into hot topic first, then lush, forever 21, bath and body works and spencer's. We made our way to macy's because I was running out of face wash and makeup at home. As I was walking around the mac section, my mom comes up to me and says, "Are you going to be okay here for a few minutes? I wanna go see something real quick."

"That's okay. I'll be over here if you need me."

"Cool."

I grabbed the facewash and made my way to the eyeliner section when my heart skipped a beat. No no no no no! Sarah and Anna were there looking at all the makeup. God knows why they pick this day and minute to be here. I shy away from then and pretend to look at the face washes carefully. I don't look up. Soon I hear their voices getting louder. and louder. and louder. Then I hear sarahs voice behind me.

"Excuse me-"

I made the mistake of turning around and they both just stared at me. Soon Anna started chuckling softly, then she started straight out laughing.Then both of them were laughing hysterically. I broke out into a cold sweat and was about to leave when Anna grabbed my wrist.

"Where do you think you're going? I think you'll need more face wash than that" she said, pointing at the package in my hand, "To scrub off all the ugly on your so-called face!" Both her and Sarah died of laughter while I broke free of her wrist and moved to the other side where the make up was. I'm not gonna let them get to me. I'm gonna try to ignore them. I grabbed what I needed and paid then found my mom looking at some jeans.

"Finished already? Jesus you're quick." she laughed. She paid for the jeans and we walked out of macy's.

"Is there anywhere else you wanted to go?" she asked.

"Nope."
We left the mall and stopped for lunch at the cheesecake factory and talked.

"Are you excited for warped tour?" she askeed.

"Of course I am! I never thought I'd be going on tour with my dad though. I hope I don't get lost though.."

"You won't get lost. And if you do, whoever finds you is gonna be pretty damn lucky." she laughed.

When we finished, she dropped me off at home and I went upstairs to pack. I pulled out my suitcase and was looking at everything I got and wondering where to put what when I got a text. I looked at my phone and saw pretty much my only friend Copeland was texting me.

Copeland :) - aye! My dad's letting me go on tour with him during warped tour! It's gonna be us for the whole summer! :)

Me- omg that's great! I can't wait to see you! :D

Thank god Copeland's coming. I was kinda worried that I'd be alone during the entire tour. Copeland's dad is Kellin from Sleeping with sirens and seeing as how my dad and her dad are best friends,We have also been good friends since we were in our nappies as babies. I'd like to think of her as my best friend even though I hardly get to see her.

I started packing and texted copeland up until it was time for her to go. Around nine at night my dad told me it would be a good idea for me to go to bed early seening as we were going to have to get up early. I'm so excited that I can hardly contain it.
