The Reason

I roll off of the bench and hit the ground with a thud. Ouch... It hurts. Everywhere. I Really don't care what time it is but I check anyway.. It's 5:00. I'm over an hour late to go home. Dads gonna be so mad. I get up and start walking home. I constantly trip over my on feet because I can't see well due to my swollen eyes. I reach my street and see Anna and Sarah outside.. Oh no. I try and walk past them fast but they see me anyway.

"EWWWW!!!" Anna screams.
"AT LEAST HER FACE LOOKS BETTER THIS WAY!" Yells Sarah. Before they can say anything else I make it inside. I hear laughing from inside the kitchen. CRAP. Dad must have they guys over. They can't see me like this. I run up the stairs and make it upstairs before I hear my dad call my name.

"KITZIE!? WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU?!" I hear him walk up the stairs. Oh no. No no no no no! I run into my room and lock the door. I look at my face on the mirror then the door handle jiggles. CRAP.

"Kitzie!? Open the door! Where were you for the past two hours!?" My dad yells. I'm not about to. Answer with 'asleep at the park because I got beat up'. that would only make things worse.

"I was at.. A math tutorial session after school! Sorry, I forgot to tell you this morning!" I spit out quickly. There was a moment of silence before he said. "Jesus, at least call or send me a text when classes end! I was worried!"

"I'm sorry! Really I am, I promise that next time I'll tell you." I said, my voice shaking.

"It's okay sweetheart, just promise that you'll tell me." He sighed.

"I promise." He left afterwards and I went to the bathroom to see how I looked. As expected, I looked like serious crap. I still had dried blood on my skin, and on my clothes too, my lip was busted and my eyes were purple and swollen. I lifted up my shirt and gasped. I had a bruise the size of a waffle on the middle of my stomach that was yellow and greenish on the outside, but purple on the inside. I slightly poke it and bite my tounge to restrain myself from screaming. It seriously hurt like a bitch. I decided it would be best to take a cold shower for my body and eyes to relax a bit. I hopped in the shower and the cold water made my body go numb after a while.. It felt... Nice. Very nice.

When I got out the shower and got dressed, It was about 7:00. Maybe if I go to bed really early, dad won't see me like this. And if I go to school early, he still won't say anything. Yeah.. This could work! I brush my teeth and get ready for bed. I lay my head on the pillow and shut of my lamp next to my bed, and with that I fall asleep with my entire body aching.
