The Reason

I wake up to the sound of my alarm beeping, telling me to get up. I walk over to my wardrobe and open the door which has a mirror on the inside and look at myself. "Disgusting." I think to myself, looking at my figure and face. I look down to my wrists, where I had thick and thin red lines going in all directions. I only started to cut 2 months ago because of stress, and now I'm addicted.

I grab a Paramore shirt and some ripped blue skinny jeans and head into my en suite bathroom to change. After getting dressed and doing my hair and makeup, I put on my bracelets and wristbands to cover up my cuts. Seeing as how I've always worn bracelets, even before I started cutting, nobody ever suspects that I'm hiding anything under them.

It's 10 A.M now, so that probably means dad's friends are here. He told me yesterday that his band members were going to come over as a little "Get-Together" to catch up on things. I always love when the Pierce The Veil boys come over to our house because they always have something stupid yet funny to me. That, and I get to see my uncle Mike even though I already see him at least once a week. I walk down the stairs into the living room and hear uncle Mike's laugh come from outside. I walk out and see all four of them sitting in the patio. Jaime gets up, turns around and screams "KITZIE!!" and runs to me and hugs me tight. I guess he heard my footsteps... He lifts me up and carries to where everyone is seated. They all get up and give me a hug then sit back down and finish their conversation. I walk over to a seat and listen to them talk and laugh for another 40 minutes, occasionally laughing at something stupid they say.

I excuse myself needing to used the restroom, and walk back into the house. When I'm done, I walk back downstairs to see the guys. They aren't there, but they left a note.
"Kitzie,
Got called into the studio to mix a few things, but we should be back around 6. Keep the door locked and stay safe darling."

I guess I'm on my own today then. Seeing as how dad isn't here, I decide to walk my German Shepard, Char. My dad surprised me with Char when I was a little girl and said that whenever he's not home, Char would protect me(even though he was a new born when he gave him to me). He looks big and scary, but he's a teddy bear. I start walking to the park when I see a boy who goes to my school. I begin to get scared because everyone at school hates me. I walk past him and he says "So your only friend is a dog? Loser." I just keep walking, trying to avoid him, when he pulls me back and throws me on the ground, making me let go of Char's leash. As I get up, I see Char on his chest, barking loudly and about to attack.
