Skin To Bone. (On Hold... Again.)

As we waited in the line at the venue for the concert, I just couldn't stop bouncing and fidgeting. I knew I wasn't the only one though, since Alejandra was doing the same right next to me. Cheyenna kept telling Ale to calm down, as if she actually thought that was humanly possible at this point. Between all the caffeine from the coffees we had just gotten, and the excitement at finally seeing our favorite band for the first time, I was pretty sure we were all experiencing a high that wouldn't go away entirely for at least a month after this night was over. Alejandra grabbed my hand as she fixed her beanie, and I squeezed it with excitement. I still really could barely believe that this was happening.

Suddenly, the announcer called out that people could finally enter the venue, and we rushed into action. I grabbed Rhi's hand with my free hand, and as Ale pulled me along, I pulled the others behind us. We pushed out onto the floor, and being as determined as we were, we managed to get right behind the barricade, right in front of the stage, the perfect spot. We were close enough that it would be impossible for the boys of the band not to notice us. This was really happening and it was insane. My heart started thumping harder and faster in my chest at the mere possibility that Mike might notice me. I just couldn't even think straight with that thought in my head.

As the lights went down, and the curtain lifted, I started to jump up and down I was so excited, my hand still firmly gripping Alejandra's. As the music started, and Vic's voice started singing, I just screamed.

"Oh my goddddddd!!!!! They're even more perfect liveeeee......" I exclaimed.

Cheyenna just laughed at me and my antics, and I stuck my tongue out at her before returning to completely devoting all of my attention and energy to the boys on the stage. I sang out at the top of my lungs to each and every word and line, moving my body along to the beat that Mike was throwing against the drums. I was completely lost in the sound, and in the moment. For the first time in months, years even maybe, I was feeling nothing but pure joy.

As Tony belted out an amazing guitar solo, I screamed even louder, throwing my arms in the air.

"I loooove you guyssss!!!!!! OH MY GODDD!!!!" I screamed.
