High School Never Ends

Startled, I awoke to somebody shaking.
“Aria, c’mon.” Amelia called
“What!?” I snapped
“School.” She rolled her eyes
“Shit.” I silently cursed
Quickly, I rolled off of the couch. Nobody else was in the room.
“Where’s the guys.”
“Kitchen.” She pointed
Hurriedly I rushed upstairs and freshened up. As soon as I was ready, I hopped down the stairs and into the kitchen.
“Morning sunshine.” Vic smirked
I glared in his direction.
“Nice sleep?” Vic continued smirking
“Your sofa is bumpy.” I pouted
Vic shook his head and chuckled.
“Where’s Mike and Tony?” I suddenly noticed their absence
“Oh… They went out to get breakfast.” Vic explained
“We’re gonna meet them at school.” Jaime finished
“Oh, alright.” I nodded
Everybody left for the car, however me and Vic hung back.
“How long are you gonna keep this up?” I frowned at Vic
“Keep what up?” He frowned back
“Teasing about me and Mike.” I pouted
“Oh…” His face softened, and he started laughing. “It’s my duty as Mike’s brother and your friend to keep this up until one of you physically hurts me.”
I raised my fist as a threat. Vic hurriedly, cowered.
“Okay! I’m done! No more teasing, I swear!” He yelped
“Oh c’mon, I didn’t even get to hit you.” I whined
“Shame.” He rolled his eyes
Just then, a car horn honked.
“Don’t they have any patience?” Vic muttered
“C’mon grumpy, let’s go.” I winked
I climbed into the passenger seat of the car and Vic climbed into the driver’s seat.
“What took you guys so long!?” Amelia demanded
“We thought you two would appreciate a little time alone.” I explained
Vic chuckled, as both Jaime and Amelia blushed.
“Just drive.” Amelia ordered
Once we arrived at school, there was no sign of either Tony or Mike.
“They’ll turn up sometime during first period.” Vic shrugged
We all parted ways to our first lesson, mine being English.
For the entirety of the lesson, my eyes flicked between the door and the clock. I was hoping, praying, that Mike would burst his way through the door and make some stupid remark to the teacher before being sent to the principal’s office. I just wanted him to be safe.
Suddenly, the bell rang snapping me out of my daze. Quickly, I scanned the classroom but Mike hadn’t come in. I trudged out of the classroom and was met with a worried looking Jaime.
“Was Mike in?” He asked
“No. Tony wasn’t either?”
“No.” He confirmed
“What if something bad has happened?” I panicked
“I don’t know.” Jaime sighed. “We should go find Vic and Amelia.” He suggested
I nodded and we hurried to their lockers.
I went to Vic’s and Jaime went to Amelia’s. We agreed to meet by Vic’s car.
As soon as Vic’s locker was in sight, I saw him walking away with a friend.
“Vic!” I called out, waving like a mad man
He turned around and looked at me confused. Cautiously, he left his friend and walked towards me. As he got closer, his expression turned from confusion to laughter.
“What the hell are you doing?” He called out to me
Quickly, I ran up to him, my expression completely serious. His face dropped.
“What’s wrong?” He asked
“Mike didn’t show up to class and Jaime said Tony didn’t show up either. We gotta go!” I spoke fast before grabbing Vic’s wrist and dragging him out to the car park.
