Fast times at Clairemont High

I woke up to the sound of my alarm blasting misfits, I turned my alarm off and then laid back in my bed. I was too tired, I got hardly any sleep last night, one of the major down falls of having insomnia. It's not that I didn't want to go to school or that I was nervous I was really popular at my old school so I have no reason to be nervous. But it's hard enough going to a new school let alone a month after it's already started and everyone already has their own little friend group.

I could heard Kellin's alarm go off through the wall, I got out of my bed and walked into his room down the hall. He held a pillow over his head as the alarm was yelling at him to get up. He grabbed the clock that was beside him on the floor and threw it. It hit my arm and I yelled ow. Kellin lifted his head out of it his pillow and said "Sorry Cam I didn't see you there"

"It's fine just hurry up and get out of bed, we all know it takes you forever to spike your hair" I said in a joking way.

"Do I have to go?" Even though Kellin is older than me you would think I was the older one.

"Yes now get up" I said leaving his room and entering the bathroom, where my make up bag and hair stuff was pilled on the counter beside a stack of towels. I understand why he doesn't want to go to school, he hasn't exactly had the best couple years. He got picked on a lot back in Oregon, which is also one of the reasons my mom wanted to move. All through his freshman year he would come home with a new bruise every day.

I grabbed my shampoo, conditioner, facial wash, and body wash off of the counter and went into the shower. When I got out I quickly blow dried my hair then put on some make up. As I turned on the straighter I heard a knock on the door.

"Yeah?" I yelled.

"Are you done yet?" Kellin yelled from the other side of the door

I opened the door "just about I just have to straighten my hair."

"Can you get out for a minute? I have to take a piss" He said practically shaking

"Fine" I sighed and walked out of the bathroom. Kellin raced in to the bathroom slammed the door and as I was walking away I heard a sigh of relief coming from the bathroom. I walked into my bedroom and opened the box that said 'Cam's clothes' after going through all of my clothes I finally decided on an outfit. A shirt that said 'gnarly' a pair of high waisted shorts, a pair of doc martens, and a plaid shirt.

After straightening my hair I went down stairs and saw a note on the counter that had the address of the school, how to get there, and 100 dollars that said "For food"

My mom knows I don't eat that much but she's always trying to get me to eat more.

I grabbed the note and money and stuffed it into my back pocket, when Kellin came down stairs we grabbed our back packs, left and locked the door.

The walk to the school was only about ten minutes, me and Kellin talked the whole way there about random things. When we reached the school we both walked in together and went straight to the office to get our schedules. The lady at the front desk was kind of rude she gave me a really weird look. I ignored it grabbed my paper and then walked around to try and find my locker.

After about ten minutes I finally found my locker this school is so much bigger than my old school. I put in the combination that was written on the piece of paper the lady gave me but it wasn't working. I hate using these locks. I tried a couple more times and then the bell rang, the halls cleared and I was standing there looking like a total idiot trying to open my locker.

After trying and trying I finally gave up and sat down in front of my locker. I had my head in my hands when someone tapped on my shoulder, I looked up to see a boy standing infront of my with dark brown hair and chocolate coloured eyes. He had a nose piercing and a cute little smile.

"Are you okay?" He asked reaching his hand out, I grabbed his hand and he pulled me to my feet but I slipped and almost fell luckily he caught me. I immediately blushed but I couldn't help but get lost in his eyes.

"Yeah I'm fine I just can't open my locker" I said and pulled out of the grip of his soft hands. "I'm Vic" he said, "I'm Cameron" I replied

"Are you new?" He asked with a light little laugh, it was adorable.

"That obvious huh?" I said. "Haha, yeah" he said.

"I'll show you how to do it... What's your code?" He asked, I told him and he showed me how to do it and then he let me try. It was quite easy once I got the hang of it.

"Well thank you" I said with a smile.

"Yeah no problem" he said "I should probably get back to class though"

"Okay well do you know where..." I said grabbing out my list " Mr. Barnett's English room is?"

"Yeah its right across the hall from my class. I can walk you there if you like?" He said.

"Thank you so much your a life saver!" I said grateful.

We walked to the class room and talked the whole way there. When we reached door Vic said "Wait here for me when your class is over and I'll take you to your next class?" I nodded and thanked him.

t the beginning the teacher got mad at me for being late and when I told him about my locker he told me to stop making excuses. I kept to myself during the rest of class and just listened to what the teacher said and took notes. I couldn't stop thinking about Vic.

The day went by fast and in between classes Me and Vic talked, he's so nice. He told me some do's and don'ts about clairemont. And he asked me about Oregon, just small talk really. It feels like I've known him forever and like I can tell him anything.

At lunch time I went to the cafeteria and went to the lunch line where Kellin was standing.

"Hey" he said when he saw me. "Make any new friends yet?" I rolled my eyes at his question. "Not really, pretty much everyone here is preppy and a total douche" I said

"Ouch" I heard someone say from behind me, I turned around to see Vic with a little smirk on his face.

"Oh Kellin this is my friend Vic!" I said grabbing Vic's arm and pulling him beside me. "Oh yeah I know you! Don't we have Bio together?" Kellin said

"Yeah I think so" Vic replied.

"Whoa Kellin who's this?" This guy with a heavy british accent standing in front of Kellin said when he turned around. He was covered in tattoos and had a full sleeve done.

"Oli this is my sister Cameron" Kellin said and I awkwardly waved. "Cam this is Oli"

"And I'm Austin" another guy said. Wow Kellin has more friends than me.

After we all got our lunches we sat down at a big table and talked. I picked at my fries, not really that hungry. Kellin looked at me and gave me a disappointing look, I can't control whether I'm hungry or not so I hate it when he gives me that look. I pulled out my cell phone to look at the time and Oli reached across the table grabbed my phone and started doing something.

"Hey give it back" I stood up and tried to grab it back but he backed up and fell off of his chair every one at our table started laughing but Oli just kept typing. He stood up handed me my phone then sat back down. I looked at my phone to see he put his number in my phone under 'Grand Master Syko'. What ever that is.

Next Austin grabbed my phone and did the same, then he passed it around to Vic. Who put his number in and I blushed a little hoping no one noticed.

The bell rang and the cafeteria cleared.

The rest of the day was pretty boring.
