Fast times at Clairemont High

Cameron's pov

"You're not going anywhere" I said

"Cameron you're drunk, you don't want to do something you regret." Mike said trying to get past me, but I kept my ground and lent against the door.

"Why don't you like me, I thought you did" I said with a pout, I just don't get it. He was the one who started flirting with me in the first place. Even when we first met.

"You don't get it do you?" He said grabbing my shoulders.

"I can't" he said raising his voice a bit.

"And why not?" I asked, I've never seen Mike like this. He's almost vulnerable.

"Move, I have to go" He said, sternly. Letting go of me.

"No." I said crossing my arms over my chest. "You have to tell me why"

"No I don't, now move" He's starting to get mad.

Here we go. Mike is back, the guy who's "too cool" for feelings. Mr. Emotionally unavailable.

"Fuck, fine go!" I say turning around and opening the door for him.

"Don't let the door hit you on the way out." I don't want to be any where near this guy right now.

He walks out as if nothing even happened. So casual and smug.

Whatever. I don't need him anyways.

I take a quick look in the mirror before heading back out to the party.

I walk through the house, it's packed. Mostly unfamiliar faces, minus a couple people I've seen around the school a few times.

Someone grabs my arm, I turn around to find Vic standing there, with his friends.

"Hey are you okay?" He whispered in my ear.

"Yeah I'm fine, I just need some fresh air." I said.

I look over at his friend Tony, who smiled at me.

'Do you want me to go with you?" He asks stepping closer to me.

"No, it's okay."

I walk outside and lean against the side of the house.

I close my eyes and take a deep breath in.

I started feeling weird, like wavy. Like that feeling you get when you're standing in water and the tide comes along and pushes you. I started to lose my balance, and giggling.

"What's so funny?" Someone asks, I look up to find Austin standing in front of me.

"I don't even know" I said laughing even harder than before.

"Are you high?" Austin asks laughing with me

"What no, are you?" I asked eyeing him suspiciously, trying to keep a straight face.

Trying to stay serious didn't last long because before Austin could even reply.

"Yeah actually I am" Austin said laughing. "I ate like two of those pot brownies Mike brought, they were so good"

"Wait, what pot brownies?" I asked

"The ones that were on a white platter thingy" Austin said still laughing

"Oh shit" I said kind of freaking out a bit inside

"What?" He asked

"I ate like so many of those, I thought they were just regular brownies" I said laughing uncontrollably.

Me and him just stood there laughing like idiots.

"I think I'm gonna go back inside" I said after I finally calmed down from my laugh attack.

"Yeah me too" Austin said

We were walking into the house together when Austin suddenly stopped.

"Whoa is that Jenna?" Austin asked

"Jenna?" I asked, not knowing who Jenna is.

"Jenna Mcdougall, only one of the hottest freshman's ever. I'm gonna go talk to her. Maybe I'll get lucky tonight" He said with a wink.

"Okay bye?" I said giggling

As I was turning the corner someone bumped into me.

I look up to see Tony.

"Oh it's you" I said with the biggest grin ever.
